We really enjoyed our stay here. Plenty of space for 3 families totaling 11 people. The giant Christmas tree was beautiful! How did you get it I there!?The kitchen was well stocked, lots of extra spices and plenty of dishes. Every glass you could ever need!The bedrooms were perfect for our group, the bunk room was very cool. The kids (and grandma) loved it. It gets pretty chilly in the rooms upstairs but there are heaters in the closet if you need and lots of extra blankets. The hot tub was amazing! We made sure to use that daily! The kids and teens favorite pass time was to move the owl decoys that were stored in the bunkhouse around the house to scare everyone! (Don’t worry we put them all back!) Was quite the shock to go into the bathroom in the middle of the night and have an owl staring back at you! Haha! Overall we had an amazing time! Would love to come back again!! Thank you for letting us spend Christmas at your home away from home!

This was the second Thanksgiving we've spent at this beautiful lodge, and we hope to return! It comfortably sleeps our three families; and the great room, dining, and kitchen area are perfect for relaxing, playing games, and enjoying roaring fires.

A group of ten ladies spent three days here and loved it. The communal space was perfect for doing puzzles, hanging out together, and playing games. The home layout was really great for groups. Would definitely book this property again!

THE BEST OF BLACK BUTTE

Truly a mountain lodge setting perfect for families or a few friends. Everything about this home is luxurious & perfect: stocked with everything you need, beautiful and fresh decor, unbeatable location in Black Butte, a short walk to Graze Meadow pool and rec center, 22 miles of bike/walk trails across the street, and a very accommodating and communicative host. If you've read this far... just stop and book it. You'll be glad you did!

Everything about this home was wonderful! There was plenty of space for two families to spread out. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. And you can’t beat the location! Overall, our stay was exceptional!

Excellent "Home", Great Location!

We've stayed in a lot of Vrbo houses, but this location truly felt like a "home". This is a gorgeous property, incredibly well equipped and it was beautifully decorated for the season. It is well located, just a short walk to the Glaze Meadow Pool and Recreation center. Definitely your best choice at Black Butte Ranch.

Excellent Spacious Home

Black Bear Lodge was an excellent choice for our group of 8, each requiring their own bed. Three bedrooms and a bunk room with 6 twins and a shared bathroom provided all the room we needed. The living area was spacious, with plenty of LR seating for our group to watch TV around the wood-burning fireplace. Kitchen was spacious and well-stocked. The outdoor hot tub offered a great view of the surrounding property and the daily visits by 10-12 deer, including 5 bucks. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. Would definitely be interested in a return stay with 2 or 3 other couples.

Fantastic Stay

I recently stayed at this rental and it was an exceptional experience. The property was beautifully maintained, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The interior was both cozy and stylish, equipped with modern amenities that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect for accessing outdoor activities like hiking and cycling, and the peaceful environment provided a much-needed retreat! The attention to detail and excellent service truly made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene getaway in nature. The owner was easy to communication, I will for sure be renting this home again in the future! 11/10 stars

Best week with family making such special memories!

We had such a beautiful stay at Steve’s wonderful house that truly felt like home. This house was stacked with everything you could possibly ever need. We had a large group and had so much space to relax, cook and enjoy family meals everyday. We are so grateful for this wonderful week that we shared together. Black Butte ranch is stunning and there was so many activities and amenities for kids and adults alike! We can’t wait to come back!

Best Ever

Been to Black Butte at least seven times, stayed elsewhere in VRBO properties over a dozen times. This is the best property we’ve ever had the privilege in which to stay. Beautiful home close to Glaze Meadow, our favorite area. Well equipped and excessively comfortable. Our 11 folks ranged in age from 3 to 74, and all were impressed. The wrap around deck gave privacy, sun, and shade throughout the day. The bunk room fit our ten through eighteen year olds marvelously. I would love to say bad things so folks would look elsewhere, but that not be fair or honest. Loved our time. Have signed up for a future stay. Nuff said.
