Villa Celeste, número de licencia ESL-1040K10003011801, se encuentra en una posición única y dominante sobre la playa de Almyros. Esta propiedad de la planta baja ofrece vistas a la bahía de Mirambelo con un telón de fondo de las montañas de Kapsas y Orno. Al norte se encuentra la ciudad de Agios Nikolaos a poca distancia por sendero costero. La vista interior desde el jardín de apartamentos revela laderas de olivares que se elevan a las montañas Katharo. El alojamiento ofrece dos habitaciones dobles de lujo con baño privado, una habitación tiene vistas al mar. El amplio salón ofrece un sofá de cinco plazas en la esquina, mesa de comedor para seis personas, cocina totalmente equipada, con máquina de café espresso, tostadora, cafetera, tetera, vitrocerámica, horno, una amplia gama de utensilios de cocina y vajilla de lujo, nevera con congelador, lavavajillas. También se proporcionan lavadora, secadora y utensilios de planchado. Hay una gran televisión con satélite y DVD. Wifi en todo. Se proporcionan toallas de baño, artículos de tocador, toallas de playa, así como un paquete de bienvenida que incluye pan, una botella de vino, mantequilla, aceite de oliva, una botella de agua, leche, un tarro de mermelada y un tazón de fruta fresca. Fuera de la terraza ofrece un área de comedor con fabulosas vistas al mar, mesa de comedor para hasta 6 personas, un área de descanso con 2 sillones reclinables, 4 tumbonas, dos asientos y tres sofás más un sillón en cómodo ratán acolchado. Nuevo para 2019 es el gimnasio con torre de ejercicios, pasarela y bicicleta sentada, el área está ventilada con un ventilador central de velocidad variable. El área de la terraza está orientada al este y está completamente abierta al frente con la fabulosa vista de la bahía con un telón de fondo de montañas. Al lado sur, la vista abarca la costa de la bahía hacia los pueblos de Almiros y Ammoudara. Al oeste hay grandes macetas con flores y cactus detrás de los cuales hay una cerca con una puerta al puerto cubierto de automóviles y el largo camino de entrada más allá del cual las montañas son visibles. El área de estacionamiento es privada y segura.
Los propietarios (2 personas) viven arriba en el otro extremo de la villa, con una terraza separada, sin vistas a la zona de alquiler de vacaciones.
En el jardín alrededor de la Villa alimentamos a varios gatos amigables que no están permitidos en el interior. También tenemos cuatro perros pequeños que se mantienen alejados del apartamento de vacaciones.

Great location, beautiful views, friendly hosts!

My husband spent 1 week at this lovely property in October. From our very first contact (a year in advance of our trip) through the weeks before our trip, Duncan was very responsive and very helpful in planning our arrival and local activities. The rental hosts live above the apartment - - yet you have complete privacy. We enjoyed Duncan and Elisabeth, so we periodically chatted with them around their property. The view from the apartment and the terrace is magnificent. Beautiful sunrises and the peaceful sound of the waves made waking up and having a cup of coffee on the terrace absolutely wonderful. In addition to the terrace view, the hosts own the property / hill above the home which includes a fantastic garden (flowers, fruits, etc) and a 360 degree view! It takes your breath away. A few early evenings we walked up to a lovely sitting area with a cocktail and enjoyed the change in colors as the sun set. The apartment is very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. We slept in the bedroom right off the terrace - - the mattress was very comfortable and the room itself was very quiet. The bathrooms are modern and spacious. We did not take the opportunity to cook during this week, but we made use of the kitchen for breakfast, packing lunches, and fixing our evening cocktails. The owners have pets, but they were not a bother at all. We even grew a bit attached to Chloe, as we were missing our own cat. We always walked to town - - however, we did decide to drive our car from the rental down to the nearby Almyros beach, park, and then walk to meet up with the beach path. The walk directly from the rental includes a stint on a very busy, fast-trafficked road with only a small path in the brush to connect it to the beach walk. Duncan and Elisabeth are very nice and really want you to be able to relax and enjoy your stay - - which we thoroughly did. The rental is very well kept, with good access to Agio Nikolaos, and a good value - - - you won’t be disappointed with a stay here!

Wohnung mit wunderbarem Ausblick

Am Morgen in der Sonne aufs Meer schauen oder abends den Tag mit dem Blick in die Weite im Mondlicht ausklingen lassen, das ist das absolute Highlight während des Aufenthalts im Haus von Marie-Paule und Duncan. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist genau so, wie auf dem Foto abgebildet. Zum Strand hinunter läuft man 10-15 Minuten den Berg hinunter oder fährt 2 Minuten mit dem Auto. Die Wohnung bietet zwei schöne Schlafzimmer mit jeweils eigenem Bad und einem Wohn-Esszimmer mit allem, was man braucht. Duncan und Marie-Paule sind super freundlich, sehr hilfreich und sehr diskret. Wir haben uns in den 10 Tagen mit unseren fast erwachsenen Kindern sehr wohl gefühlt!

Sehr schöne Wohnung/Lage

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Durch die Fliegengitter hatten wir z.B. keine Probleme mit Mücken. Die Terrasse ist wirklich so schön wie auf dem Bild, der Strand ist der schönste der Umgebung, Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und tun alles, dass man einen schönen Urlaub hat. Einfach perfekt!

Sitting on the terrace with a cup of coffee in the early morning sunshine was bliss.

From the moment you make your booking you know this is going to be a special holiday. Duncan and Marie-Paule are the perfect hosts, they go out of their way to make sure your holiday is as enjoyable and stress free as possible, infact, nothing is too much trouble for this really lovely couple. The villa is a real home from home, it is spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped, and there is a nice welcome pack waiting for you on your arrival. Once you get settled in the view from the terrace has you mesmerised, the beach below is lovely with beautiful clear water but it is the views to the mountains in the distance which change as the sun moves round that are the most fascinating. If you feel a little energetic a walk along the coastal path to Agios Nikolaos is well worth the effort and if that sounds too much like hard work you can always stop off for refreshments on the way. Elounda and Plaka are both worth visiting and for anyone not familiar with the sad story of Spinalonga, try reading the book The Island by Victoria Hislop (just don’t read it on the plane like I did, I ended up with mascara running down my face). Food shopping is easy, there is a very well stocked supermarket just past the crossroads heading into/out of Agios Nikolaos and a branch of Lidl can be found on the Krista road. Would we recommend the Celeste? Oh yes without a doubt. Any drawbacks? Yes, a very minor one is that the drive up from the main road is over an unmade track but that is not unusual for Greek properties. Any insects? Yes, but nothing that gave any cause for concern. Any wildlife? Not sure you would call them wildlife but Duncan and Marie-Paule do have pets, they were never a problem though. In fact quite the opposite, we had lots of laughs about them and we looked forward to an evening cat cuddle.

Fantastischer Urlaub in tollem Appartement

Wir bedanken uns bei Duncon und Marie-Paul für diesen schönen Urlaub. Es begann mit einem liebevollem Empfang, Abholung an der vereinbarten Tankstelle. Wir wurde mit einem Willkommens-Snack im Kühlschrank überrascht. Die Ferienwohnung hat nichts vermissen lassen. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist umwerfend schön. Im Blickfeld von oben befindet sich der schönste Strand weit und breit - Almyros beach - der schnell zu erreichen ist. Wir empfehlen das Appartment und die Vermieter jedem, der einen tollen Urlaub verleben möchte.

Paradise

We felt like we were living in paradise for the 3 weeks were staying there. The view was amazing, the apartement was super comfortable and nice, only a 10 minute walk to get to a beautiful beach and you walking along the beachside you arrive at Agios Nikolaos. We will visit again.

sehr schön gelegenes Haus mit tollem Blick auf die große Bucht

Wir sind sehr gut aufgenommen worden. Der Vermieter wohnt mit im Haus und hatte immer ein offenes Ohr für unsere Fragen gehabt, hat sich ansonsten aber sehr diskret zurückgehalten. Die Wohnung ist ideal für 4 Personen bedingt durch die zwei Bäder. Es ist qualitativ hochwertig und gut ausgestattet. Morgens gegen 6 Uhr schaut man direkt in den Sonnenaufgang. Die Wohnung verfügt über Mückenfenster und zusätzlich noch Jalousien gegen die Wärme von außen. Jedes Zimmer hat eine separate Klimaanlage. Die Nähe zu Agios Nicolaos ist zu erwähnen (am Strand entlang ca. 10 Minuten bis zum Jachthafen), trotzdem ist es schön ruhig. Der Strand ist direkt unterhalb des Hauses und mit dem Auto in 3 Minuten zu erreichen. Besonders geeignet ist er für Kleinkinder. Man kann bestimmt 100 Meter reinlaufen und kann immer noch stehen. Der Sand ist feinkörnig. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Schönes Haus an toller Lage

Herzlichen Dank an Marie-Paul und Duncan. Hervorragende Gastgeber, bei denen wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Obwohl sie in einem separaten, sehr gut getrennten Teil desselben Hauses wohnen, hat man absolute Privatsphäre! Sehr schöne, grosse Badezimmer. Frotteewäsche wird alle ca 3 - 4 Tage gewechselt. Sehr gute Betten. Der traumhafte Strand ist auch zu Fuss erreichbar, man braucht allerdings gute 10 Minuten. Der Abschied viel uns schwer, man möchte gerne wiederkommen :-)

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr schön, groß, sehr sauber mit einer wunderbaren Aussicht und die Gastgeber haben an alles gedacht, was ihre Gäste eventuell brauchen könnten. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Man kann zum Strand laufen und sogar bis nach Agios zu Fuß gehen. Selbst der Ordner mit den Ausflugs-Tipps in der Umgebung war in einem wunderbaren, leicht ironischen Englisch formuliert, das uns sehr gefallen hat. Um Ostern herum ist der Vorteil der Wohnung, dass das Haus neu und die Wohnung nicht so kühl ist, wie viele andere zu dieser Zeit auf Kreta. Für den Sommer ist die Terrasse und der Parkplatz schattig gebaut, so dass es sicher auch kühl bleibt. Die Sicht ist phänomenal und es gibt wenig Schlafzimmer mit so einem tollen Meerblick!

Angenehmes Appartement mit herrlicher Terrassen-Sicht auf attraktive Küste

Das Appartement ist modern-funktional eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Das gilt besonders für die weitläufige Terrasse mit ihren vielen Stühlen, Liegen, einem neuen Grillgerät etc. Die Aussicht ist spektakulär, ein schöner Strand fußläufig erreichbar. Das das Obergeschoss nutzende Vermieterehepaar ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Fantastic apartment

Tolle Unterkunft

Die Villa Celeste ist eine sehr schöne Unterkunft. Zwei Schlafzimmer, das Wohnzimmer und die Terasse blicken richtung Osten, wo man der Sonne und dem Mond beim Aufgehen zuschauen kann, und es Nachmittags schattig ist. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist gut, zweckmäßig und von allem Nützlichem gibt es reichlich (Handtücher, Bettwäsche...). 2 Schlafzimmer haben ein eigenes Bad. Bei der Ankunft am Sonntag Abend war besonders erfreulich, dass die Vermieter für uns Lebensmittel eingekauft hatten. Die Wohnung ist über die Terasse ebenerdig zu erreichen, und man kann mit dem Auto direkt neben der Terasse parken. Als Rollstuhlfahrer bin ich damit gut klar gekommen. Der Strand unterhalb des Hauses ist toll. Das Wasser ist klar und sauber. Es ist ein Sandstrand, der sanft abfällt und auch kleine Kinder im Wasser lange stehen können. Zu Fuß ist man beim Strand in 10 Minuten. Der Weg ist allerdings für meinen Rollstuhl zu steil gewesen. Mit dem Auto braucht man ca. 3 Minuten. Am Strand gab es einen Strandrollstuhl (kostenfrei). Das Personal vom Strand war auch sehr hilfsbereit und freundlicht.

Trés belle vue sur mer, emplacement au calme , agréable terrasse trés bien exposée

La maison est trés confortable, bien équipée, entièrement climatisée, vraiment très propre. La vue de la terrasse est absolument magnifique! Superbe plage de sable en bas de la maison (Almyros beach). La maison est située légèrement à l'écart de la ville, elle est donc très au calme mais reste cependant tout de même assez proche de Ag. Nikolaos ce qui permet d'etre en 5 minutes près des commerces et des restaurants. Marie-Paule et Duncan sont très attentionnés et ont tout fait pour que nous ne manquions jamais de rien tout en sachant rester discrets.

Hier kann man sich auf den Urlaub freuen, zu 100%

wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, danke Marie-Paule und Dunkan, hier trifft man die perfekte Gastgeber! Die Wohnung ist exsellent ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts (inkl. Waschmaschine und Trockner). Sehr geschmackvoll und mit vielen Extras, wie Badehandt.; Toilettenart.;und alles was man die ersten Tage benötigt.Sehr sauber und alles neu eingerichtet, kann man hier seine Ferientage in vollen Zügen genießen. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer, 2 mit eigenen Bad und z.T. Meerblick, Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, die Terasse sehr groß mit sehr bequemen Möbel und mit sehr viel Privatsphäre, mit grandiosen freien Blick auf das Meer und die Landschaft. Ein toller Barbequegrill. In jedem Raum befindet sich eine Klimaa. so auch perfekt bei wärmeren Temperaturen. TV Programme in deutsch vorhanden; sowie WLan funktionoert sehr gut. Wir können diese Unterkunft zu 100 % weiterempfehlen und haben nichts zum aussetzen, wir kommen gerne wieder. Wir hatten 2 sehr schöne Wochen, dank der komfortablen FEWO und der tollen Lage; zu Fuß in 10 Min. in Ag. Nikolaos. Man wird den Sonnenaufgang nie mehr vergessen ein Traum. Die Tips von Dunan bezgl. Strand inkl. Taverne war auch toll, sowie der " Mittwochsmarkt" in Ag. Nik. man muß die Lasithi Hochebene gesehen haben und die Thymianfelder bei Chandras/ Zakros/ und den Strand von Xerokampos. Danke für diese unvergesslichen Tage bei Euch.

Wonderful Holiday

What an amazing place to stay. Felt like a second home. Duncan and Marie-Paul are just wonderful. They made it the perfect accommodation.

Everything we wanted. Very comfortable villa, great views & really helpful owners.

The villa is in a great location with views out to sea and the surrounding bay, so plenty of time was spent relaxing on the terrace. The owners were very helpful and have equipped the property to a very high standard so there was everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We did not use the hire car to go to the local town of Agios Nikolaos because it was a pleasant walk (once you got to the beach). It was useful to have a hire car for day trips to various places around the coast and inland to the plateaus, however, there are plenty of places in Agios Nikolaos for excursions if you do not want to drive.

Marie-Paule is from Luxembourg and has lived in Crete for the past 27 years. She was a translator before retirement and now spends her time enjoying all that Crete has to offer. Languages available are French, Luxembourgish, German, Greek and English. Marie-Paule and her British husband Duncan are at hand to provide assistance and advice only if required since we respect the space you occupy.

Marie-Paule fell in love with the position of this hillside. Private, and yet so close to town. Additionally, eastern Crete was a medical reccomendation due to the dry atmosphere. Fourteen years ago she built her dream house, and can now offer the entire ground floor (wheelchair compatible) for a unique holiday experience.
We are on the outskirts of the sophisticated resort of Agios Nikolaos with its bars, shops and numerous restaurants. The town boasts six beaches and long walkways by the sea as well a beautiful marina, lake and harbour. All this is accessible only five minutes by car from the villa or less than 20 minutes stroll. Being strategically placed in the east of Crete, the Villa also makes a perfect base for travelling around the island, visiting archaeological sites, mountains, plateaux, gorges, monasteries, villages and secluded beaches. The Villa is only 50 minutes drive from the airport.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

It boasts a unique elevated position directly above the beach commanding spectacular views across the bay, yet all with easy access and great privacy. From the top of the hill on which the Villa stands there is a 360 degree view of mountains, sea town and villages and looking up the stars seem to go on forever.
