Picture Perfect

We stayed here in November for a week and couldn't have been happier. The owners are such nice people, very attentive and responsive. The house was perfect, it was exactly as advertised and we had no complaints. Keirland Commons is very close as well as many top tier golf courses in the area. The grocery store is a stones throw from the house and we were able to stock up daily, it was very convenient. We will certainly return to this property. The owners maintain it like a home, not a rental, with high quality linens, kitchen utensils and dishware, excellent appliances, etc. Can't wait to return!

The Perfect Home Away From Home!

We are so happy to have chosen to rent this property for our holiday in early December, 2015. We were traveling with our 2-year-old son and having a well-stocked house was the right way to go (much more room for him to run around than a stuffy hotel room). The house was clean, there were plenty of luxurious towels, and the kitchen had everything we needed (although, we ran out to buy a new frying pan as the one that was there was a little worn). There was even a bed railing for us to use! I was a little skeptical of the layout of the house when we first arrived, as the master bedroom was on the other side of the house than the other two rooms. I quickly learned that the area and house itself was safe and we felt the same. The only downfall - the pool temperature. We were hoping to use the pool while we were there and only attempted one dip as it was just too frigid to enjoy a swim (using the pool in the summer time would be ideal, and the backyard is gorgeous!). The hot tub was also under repair and in need of a clean. I would not hesitate to book this property again - perfect location, perfect backyard, perfect vacation. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I would agree that the pool temperature was probably a little too cold for swimming but we had an unusual cold spell in December and January this year and unfortunately the pool heater couldn't keep up. As far as the hot tub goes, we just had it delivered there and it was not hooked up during your stay. We had not advertised though that there was a hot tub until after your stay as it is now connected and working like a charm.

Amenity rich, just needs a little attention

While the home is slightly dated, the owners did a fabulous job in making the home comfortable and well-stocked for your stay. They definitely deserve 5 stars for the comfy bed, linens and plenty of clean towels. The carpets were just cleaned and the home smelled fresh. The kitchen was a delight and stocked with everything you’ll need! Access to trash bags. plenty of dish soap, detergent, Ziplocks, etc. just makes things easier as a guest. Location was great with a park across the street and close proximity to a large outdoor mall and great restaurants. The backyard is beautiful and I can see being a joy during warmer weather. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. He was also responsive. Unfortunately, a couple of key items did fall short for us. We primarily booked this property because it was advertised with a hot tub and a pool heated to 85 unless there is a cold snap. Sadly, the hot tub was broken when we arrived. I called the owner to address it and he was out the next day with a new heat pump. By day three, the hot tub was finally “hot”, but filled with scum. After owning a hot tub ourselves for 10 years, we knew the hot tub needed some love. The owner did have chemicals near the pool to maintain the water, but no testing strips to determine what was off. In the end, we were never able to use the hot tub. Then, there was the pool...While we visited the house in the winter, it wasn’t during a “cold snap.” Once again, we never saw the pool temperature go above 71 degrees. It was always between 65-71 and the pool vacuum wasn’t connected to anything to keep the pool clean. Ironically, hot water was also an issue in the house. The master shower and kitchen sink only got warm, never hot. Wifi also had to be reset multiple times in order to keep the entertainment system working as it was stream based and kept losing connection or getting bogged down. For these reasons, we need to knock off a star.

Kelly, I appreciate you taking the time to write us a review. We are not used to receiving anything less than a 5-star review but we do understand why you opted to give us a 4-star instead. I wanted to provide our comments though. As far as being slightly dated, we would agree. Of our 9 properties, this is the only one that has not been updated within the past 3 years and we have the calendar blocked off to do a full renovation next summer (2020). As far as the hot tub goes, it is only 2 years old and we did the best we could in getting the heater replaced the day after you arrived. I negotiated with our hot tub company to take a heater off of their showroom floor so it could be installed immediately instead of having to wait 5-7 days for a new one to arrive. After the heater was installed, I went to the property to refill it, and it was already filled. So whoever filled it must not have cleaned the debris out of it before refilling it. As far as the pool heating goes, the heat pump runs 24x7 so, unfortunately, it was just too cold to keep the pool temp at 85 during your stay. And no one let us know about the lack of hot water in the house during your stay so we will have that checked out right away. We apologize for these issues and will continue to do everything in our control to help minimize any future issues. We hope that you will come to stay with us again.

Location, location, location

Three of us travelled to Scottsdale for a 4 week vacation from end of February to mid-March- me, my sister and her husband, all of us over 60 and retired. We lucked in with this house rental in a terrific location in Scottsdale near Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. Terrific shopping of all kinds is nearby. The house is across the street from a park in a quiet and upscale residential neighbourhood. The home has a 3-car garage, 3 spacious bedrooms with comfy beds (two with king, one with twins), 2 full baths, a large living and seating area with gas fireplace, large eat-in kitchen, laundry room with washer/dryer, large lot with terrific pool, hot-tub, BBQ, many outdoor sofas and lounging chairs, a small putting green, outdoor pool table with TV, a fire-pit and two tall propane heating devices. We've used the fireplace, fire-pit, and outdoor heating devices, pool and hot-tub. All worked fine. The kitchen was a little short on having enough equipment for dinner parties, and after suggestions from us, the owner promptly provided the extra things we asked for like mixing bowls, serving dishes etc. The kitchen is well equipped now with everything one would need to prepare dinner or entertain. The kitchen has all modern appliances - a two-door fridge/freezer with ice-maker, microwave, wall-oven, gas range with oven, dishwasher, toaster-oven, a Keurig, plus Mr. Coffee (basket filter) coffee machines. Each bedroom, plus the outdoor pool-table area has a large flat-screen TV. The living room area has a 65 inch flat-screen TV with many channels including several HBO. The only thing we missed was access to the GOLF channel and a sport package (we're golf and hockey fans). The home is well lit with many accent and pot-lights in the home. The home has very high ceilings, perhaps 14 feet, and ceiling fans in every room. The pool is kept around 75 degrees, but arrangements can be made with the owner for warmer water during the cooler months at an extra fee. Being hardy northerners, we were happy with the temperature. There are also two adult and one child's bike (single speed) for biking in the neighbourhood or to the nearby Safeway. We would certainly stay here again, and recommend it highly. The owner welcomed us and was very attentive to our needs. Great restaurant, the Tutti Santi, is nearby and excellent Italian food."

Beautiful home

This home is outstanding, home owner made it super easy to rent it for us for the weekend, we really enjoyed the back yard. Pool, fire, and even the grill. Inside of the home is super nice, large open area with beautiful sliding doors to the outside. Loved it. Very clean as well would definitely recommend anybody to book this for any vacation or stay in Scottsdale Arizona :)

Our stay in May 2021

A friend and I stayed at this property, the first part of May 2021. Our flight was late getting in and when we arrived, there were a few questions we had. The manager was very responsive and actually was onsite within minutes of my questions being texted. There were just a couple of items that came up that impacted the overall score given. 1-we read the check in book and it mentions to text a certain number if you are going to be leaving prior to 11am. We weren’t, so we didn’t text. The morning of check out we got a call - I didn’t hear my phone ring but the management co left a message wanting to know if we were leaving before 11. It just seemed rude. 2. And probably the main reason for the rating. After I booked the location, I was sent documentation about our upcoming stay. Within the docs was a mention of not hanging out in the front yard, when coming back from a grocery store run to pull the car into the garage and remove your bags at that time and finally, if you run into neighbors, you are to give no indication that you’re staying less than 30 days - to tell them that you’re staying 30 days. It seemed very unethical. If I would have known about the need to lie to people about our length of stay, I never would have selected this location. I lived within a HOA for several years and know how infuriating it is when people don’t follow the rules.

The Most Gorgeous House in Kierland!

The people that own and manage this property are very nice and attentive. Our house was recently remodeled and they hurried to get everything in place for our stay. The remodel was well done and it’s an extremely fabulous property with a very modern feel and look. We loved it so much, we’ve already booked again for next year!

Felt like a personal resort

This was the perfect getaway for us, the home is absolutely beautiful. Equipped with everything you need. Nice stereo throughout the home. Outside was like our very own little oasis, beautiful vegetation, pool with a waterfall, hot tub, gas fireplace and BBQ - Not to mention a park right out of the front door!! I mean what else could you ask for. The owners were wonderful very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to coming back next year! Thanks RD and Dee Dee

This property was in a fabulous location, especially if you have kids or a dog, as it was opposite a large park. It was in a location very close to restaurants, a supermarket and a short drive to hiking trails. The pool, hottub and outside area were perfect to relax. The kitchen was extremely well appointed, with everything needed for cooking at home. We would return again in a heartbeat if we are ever back in the area. This house was the PERFECT place for a 'stay away from home' vacation.

Superb Home in Great Location

We have just returned from 10 nights at this fantastic home - The house is beautiful with a gorgeous back yard and pool which we spent a lot of time in! Everywhere very clean. The cherry on the cake was the location....5 minutes from great shopping and restaurants. The whole area of Kierland is so manicured and beautiful - Loved it there! Would highly recommend this home!

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at this property I can't complain one little bit. The property is amazing with an awesome pool & hot tub. The bed was extremely comfortable. We even ran into the property owner, RD, shortly after we arrived and he cleaned all the leaves out of the pool for us. The property owner & concierge service were in contact with us the whole time. We will definitely book this property again when we visit Scottsdale!

Great stay in Scottsdale!

Our vacation was fantastic thanks to the wonderful vacation home. Great location (park across the street was great for our kids), home was very clean, pool was beautiful and Randy was very helpful when needed. We highly recommend this home for your next vacation, we will definitely stay there again.

Perfect location

The house was great and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, there are TVs in every room and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The backyard was very nice and the pool was very warm. It was a perfect place to hang out in the morning. The location is great as well; a 2 min drive to Kierland Commons. 20 min drive to some great hikes. Thanks for everything. We would like to stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay - fit our needs perfectly

Was exactly as presented. Location was great. Close to everything. We (6 adults) had everything we wanted in our short stay. Besides the pool (we were there in Dec) we cooked in the kitchen, on the very clean grill, had pizza delivered, jumped in the hot tub, had cocktails around the fire pit, chipped a few golfballs, enjoyed music everywhere, along with the TVs. We were fortunate my husband was handy as the TVs were set up with DirectTV Now, but of course with a little googling he found all the sports channels. We loved having the music piped inside and out. This house is bookmarked, as we would rent again.

Realaxing family get away

This house was in a great location in Scottsdale. Close to shopping and great restaurants. Lots of space and the kitchen was well quipped. We appreciated the child friendliness of the home including dishware and a closet of toys. This was a huge surprise and kept our little one busy for days. The TV's throughout the house were great and the outside living area was wonderful to spend our time in. The back yard is extremely private and we even took advantage of the playground located in the park directly across the street. This home was easy for us to arrive and settle in. We did have some weather and the pool temp needed to be adjusted but our issue was solved quickly which was great; however, a quick text heads up about popping into the yard to fix the issue would have been great. All in all we loved it and will be back. Thanks RD!

Beautiful, calm villa!

From the moment we stepped through the door we felt at home in the villa. The bedrooms were perfect for us and our children. The pool was the perfect temperature. A beautiful, quiet place to stay.
