El Nido del Búho es una cabaña apartada de troncos escondida en 14 acres fuera de un camino privado rodeado por el Servicio Forestal. Convenientemente ubicado a solo 3. 5 millas del centro de Murphy, donde podrá disfrutar de tiendas, antigüedades, restaurantes / bares. Hay mucho que hacer y ver si está buscando una experiencia relajante para "salir de todo" mientras está sentado en la cubierta de la cabaña con vista al bosque, disfrutar de una noche tranquila en la fogata o si desea aventurarse y explorar el área.

Senderismo, pesca, piragüismo, ciclismo de montaña, todo a pocos minutos de la cabina. Tome un viaje de 30 minutos para disfrutar del rafting en aguas rápidas en el río Ocoee o Nantahala, tirolesa, kayak o paseos a caballo. Cerca del John C. This was the perfect little cabin setting for us - tucked away on its own crest, surrounded by woods. Amenities covered everything we could need. Loved the fire pit. Conveniently located to restaurants and groceries, while feeling secluded. Check in and check out simple. Janice was very responsive with any questions and they were wonderful hosts all the way around.

Everything and I mean everything. Perfect place to stay. Our hostess was perfect. She was very accommodating.. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed staying there. First day there we got to see and deers. It was great!

"We thoroughly enjoy staying in this cabin and are pleased to be returning for our second consecutive Thanksgiving. We appreciate the attention to detail demonstrated by the owner. The only drawback is the fire alarm's proximity to the oven, as it can be triggered by cooking activities. Nonetheless, it's a lovely little cabin."

Cozy, peaceful cabin with everything you need! This was my second stay here and I will be back. Out in the woods with wildlife all around but also conveniently close to town and other towns. Easily accessible road and entry system. Great hosts!!

The cabin was perfect. And that fold out couch is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Easy to understand and follow instructions on how to get in, temperature control and check out. Hot water on demand - no waiting for the shower or the sink to warm up. Cabin is very clean, kitchen is well equipped. We didn’t cook this trip but if I decide to be a vendor at the John C Campbell Fall Festival again next year, I’ll be back. Randy and Janice are very accommodating and easily accessible, although we had no problems during our stay. And these two old ladies felt safe there way back in the woods (we both used to camp when we were a lot younger). Thank you for sharing this wonderful little cabin with us. PS - there are quite a few really tasty restaurants near by. We had a different cuisine each night!

I was so impressed that the host called to tell us that we could come early as the cabin had been cleaned and was ready for us.Very well equipped house, peaceful and charming. Great recommendation for dinner. Wonderful new mattress!!! Watched the deer every night come through the property. Just what we needed, escape from everyday life.

1 week at Owl's Nest

First off the place is awesome! We were at the Owl's Nest for 1 week with a trailer and a bike. There is not a lot of maneuvering space but we were able to make it work. The hosts are great! Really facilitated our stay. The cabin is cozy but we had everything we needed and more. Randy spreads feed almost every day so you are sure to see deer and turkey feeding where the fire pit is located. Cabin is secluded but the owners live down the street (out of view) in case you need anything. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be going back....

The cabin was Serene, a Perfect size, and more than cozy. It was a perfect place to come to at the end of the day to relax and reload. Mrs. Costello was a wonderful host, thoughtful, considerate, and responsive to our needs.

Perfect quiet getaway

What a perfect cabin this is. So cozy and comfortable with everything you need to relax and unwind. We spent a weekend here enjoying the scenery, the small hiking trail and the visiting turkeys that would stroll through the property. The cabin is clean, quiet and nicely tucked away by itself. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare meals and there's an abundance of towels in the bathroom to choose from. Janice is a wonderful host...very friendly, communicative and helpful. Although the cabin is secluded, it's nice to know that she's not too far down the road in case something is needed. I can't think of anything I'd change about this wonderful cabin.

Quiet setting, but close to everything

Cabin was cozy and well stocked. There was plenty of information about area restaurants and attractions, as well as instructions on using the AC, TV and washer/dryer. The hosts thought of everything. Would recommend this place to friends and family.

What a Marvelous New Year

My partner and I were very very happy and fortunate to have found the Owl's Nest. Janice and Randy were both lovely and communicative, especially during the storms. They took very good care of us with regards to set up, even going as far as putting out corn and seeds to attractive the wildlife in the morning (SO MANY turkeys, it was great.) Murphy had plenty for us to do and see, and Big Nick's was some of the best barbecue I've ever had. We both had a lovely time, and a delightfully quiet and private New Year. I suspect we'll be back!

Mountain Serenity

Quiet, quaint, cozy cabin atop a mountain knoll. Private yet close to shopping and restaurants. Easy access to highway. Enjoyed watching the wildlife from porch. The bird feeders had lots of activity. Lighted stone fire pit area. Gas grill on porch. Cabin was comfortable and just the right size for my husband and I. Can’t wait for next visit.

Charming Cabin

My wife and I were in town taking classes at the Folk School, and this cabin was a lovely retreat. It was cozy without us feeling on top of each other, well stocked with toiletries, dishes, laundry, etc., and gave us that secluded mountain feeling while still being conveniently located near main roads. We would gladly stay here again, and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for their next getaway!

Perfect cabin & location

I absolutely loved this cabin and its location, it is super clean & cozy and has everything you could need for your stay. Very conveniently located. Gorgeous wooded area with perfect porch, I had a magnificent experience witnessing about 15-20 deer about the property this morning around sunrise! Downtown Murphy has so many great shops and restaurants! Downtown

We came to Murphy in 1996 from Lake Mary, Florida, on vacation and fell in love with this mountain town and surrounding areas. We purchased a home while on vacation and 1 year later we decided to move here permanently. Our dream was to build a cabin on our property where others could come and enjoy the mountains.

The cabin is only 3.5 miles from town which is convenient for guests, however, the privacy and seclusion makes you feel like you are a million miles away.
