Gran cubierta se envuelve alrededor de la casa. 16x8 proyectó porche con plegable

Beautiful beachfront home!!

Our family really enjoyed the location and "Up North" feel of the home. The beach was the star of the show.

perfect beach and swimming

The beach was absolutely clean, wide and sandy. The water of Lake Huron was excellent for swimming. Also, the dark night sky - away from the city lights - showed all the star formations.

Right on the beach

The house was cool, the location was outstanding. My only complaint was the WIFI was dial up slow. All in all a wonderful week away.

Location is wonderful, right on the beach. Exterior has a lot of charm, porch swing was used often. The train runs through the back of the property twice a day--the kids loved it. Unfortunately, cleanliness fell short. There were several safety and maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Such as loose or broken deck boards, several broken outdoor chairs and a missing grease trap for the grill. Also, the master bedroom shower door didn't stay closed. With several rainy days we were unable to use the screen porch because of a leaky roof. With further up keep, property has potential.

Wonderful spot for a family vacation

The best thing about our stay was that we were right on the beautiful beach. We played baseball & horseshoes, swam numerous times every day, built a sandcastle with a deep pool, picked up fossils & stones on the beach near the lighthouse & ate smores made on campfires. In Harrisville we ate ice cream & sandwiches & shopped in a quirky store that sold vintage & local artisan-made goods. The kitchen was well-stocked, all of the appliances worked well & there was lots of room for 4 adults & three children. A relaxing, happy, fun family holiday.

Great summer stay.

We spent a week at the property and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pictures do not do the property justice of how beautiful it truly is. We had one issue with a neighbor from down the way at the end of our stay where my wife and I were confronted by a woman with garden shears who seemed unstable. But otherwise, we had everything we needed to make our trip fantastic. Would definitely stay again.

A wonderful stay

We could not have been more pleased with the cabin. The lodge like decor was enjoyed by all. The master bedroom was exceptional. The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well equipped. A sandy beach on Lake Huron is rare, and this beach was excellent. We enjoyed many long walks along the beach. AND it was unsalted and shark free ;-}

Relaxing!

My friends and I stayed Saturday - Tuesday. The house is located right on the sandy beach! The sound of the waves was so relaxing. Dinner on the deck, long beach walks, very comfortable place to hang out for a few days. We brought all of our food so we no need to look for any stores. The flies were still around, so bring bug spray. The neighbors were all very nice. Will absolutely recommend to others and stay again some time.

Great cabin with character and views

Cabin was nice and clean. Kids loved seeing all the different animals on the walls. Beach was nice and the meighbors werent around our entire stay so it was peaceful. Things are a little tight driving back but i managed fine with my truck and 21' boat. Overall a great stay and Robert seems like a nice guy. Thanks for sharing your treasure with us!

A Dream Vacation

This was the most perfect vacation ever! The house was better than the description! The house was beautiful, clean, cozy and very comfortable. The deck was wonderful and the sandy beach was great! No rocks! Shallow and clear with a great sand bar! Having coffee on the porch swing and listening to the birds was so relaxing! Amazing host! You won’t want to leave!

Great place, great host!

We had a fantastic time here. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and we loved the taxidermy. Best of all was the perfect beach. Seriously. Perfect white sand and the clearest water. The host was also great. Great communication, reasonable and clear instructions. The neighbors were kind of rude when we told them where we were staying but we weren't there to meet new friends so we didn't care too much. I would totally recommend this place.

Location, location, location❤️

You can’t beat the beach (large boulders to watch for if you have young ones); beauty and solitude of this place. The decor is one of a hunting lodge, at least 25 stuffed and or mounted animals all over the house. Our nine year old grandson enjoyed the.”museum”. I’m glad we brought most of our food as Harrisville unfortunately does not have any grocery stores. You can drive to Lincoln and there’s a small IGA. All of the basic needs one put want for a great week up north.

Summer on Lake Huron

From the glorious sunrise over the lake to the evening scarlet red buck moon rising above the horizon into a dome of starlight that I haven’t witnessed since I was a child…the views were breathtaking. The sound of waves crashing on the beach, or gently rolling on the shore, the ever-changing white caps to near stillness, sun glinting off the water, ships in the distance…it was all simply magic. The cabin provides room to gather for games and puzzles; the yard and deck, beach and campfire ring gave every family member a place to “do their thing”! And the lake…clear, clean, sandy and hard to resist (we’re all water babies”!). We named all the trophy mounts, by the way! Highly recommend!

Great week getaway

This property is awesome. Yes the taxidermy is a bit much but we really enjoyed looking at all the animals. The decor in the cabin was great, all pots pans , plates utensils cups were in the cabin. The cabin has a dishwasher, there appeared to be no AC but we didnt need it. Also appeared to be no washer/dryer. We brought bottled water for drinking/coffee. The house was clean and had some minor issues with a loose sink faucet but contacted Rob and he sent a maintenance guy who came over and fixed it right away. The house is literally feet from lake huron, the week we were there we were able to swim almost every day, sometimes the waves were too large the younger kids. The beach was sandy with few rocks on the beach and very shallow, there are some very large rocks. There is a train that goes by twice a day rught behind the house, it usually came by at 3-4am which woke us up so bring some ear plugs. We will for sure come back next year. Rob was very accommodating so if theres a issue just let him know right away so it can be addressed.

Great birthday gift

This was my sister's birthday present to me for one of those milestone birthdays that ends in a big O. For a long time, I had been wanting to experience living in a log home, and this fulfilled that dream. So my sister and I and our little dog spent a week in this lovely log home. It was peaceful, and it felt as if we were miles away from the rest of the world, except occasionally when a train went through near the back of the house. The view of Lake Huron was spectacular. Other than one rainy day the October weather was gorgeous. I could not have asked for a better birthday present! Many thanks to my sister, and to Rob Funk for making this unique home available to people who want to enjoy a peaceful getaway.

Slice of paradise on the lake

We had a fantastic week long vacation with family. Every morning we woke up to gorgeous sunsets and lullabied to sleep with the sound of lapping waves. Clear nights afforded the opportunity for stargazing and we were able to observe several shooting stars. The log cabin gave a nice up north feel with the luxury of the lake right off the porch. Beautiful white sand beach extended out into the lake with very few rocks. Perfect for the whole family to swim. Dogs enjoyed water play as well. My 1.5 year old son loved the train that would pass through each evening. Overall a beautiful location and fun place to make memories.
