Raintree Gardens es una casa recientemente renovada de dos dormitorios ubicada en Matei, justo enfrente de Audry's Beach. La casa cuenta con una nueva cubierta cubierta completamente nueva en el frente para sentarse y relajarse mientras disfruta de la hermosa vista al mar. También hay una enorme cocina recién remodelada, perfecta para aquellos que aman cocinar por su cuenta. Y para aquellos a quienes les gusta cocinar, también encontrarán muchas verduras, hierbas y frutas en toda la propiedad, como albahaca, limoncillo, tomates, col rizada, quingombó, frijoles, brócoli, berenjenas, papaya, limón, mangos y mucho más. . Hay kayaks y bicicletas de uso gratuito en cualquier momento que desee y al otro lado de la calle tenemos 4 islas para remar y explorar, la tercera incluso tiene una gran playa de arena blanca que hace una excursión de un día perfecto y un picnic. También siempre nos complace ayudar a organizar viajes a las cataratas de Bouma, la caminata costera de Lavena, los toboganes naturales de Waitavala y el buceo en el arrecife de arcoíris. You won’t regret staying here. Instantaneous gas hot water with plenty of water pressure. Air con. Ceiling fan in main bedroom. Fully functional kitchen with groceries nearby. Jason and Ajay can organise whatever else you need. The location and vista from the large front covered verandah is an excellent place to soak in the Taveuni tropical vibe.

We loved our 10 day stay at Raintree Gardens and definitely hope to return some day. It is on a beautiful piece of land with incredible views and we took advantage of the fruit trees for papayas and limes! The house was comfortable and we didn't need to use the A/C but it is there in the bedrooms if needed. We were met by Ajay at the airport for pickup and he was helpful in driving us to the Bouma Waterfalls for our hike one day. He also arranged a car for us so we could drive to the other side of Taveuni. There are kayaks for use and one of our favorite activities was kayaking to the 3 islands for snorkeling which was the best on the island. The house is located easy walking distance to two separate markets which was very convenient and the fruit stand next door had delicious pineapple and different fruit ice creams which we loved. We even walked to the great snorkeling spot off Tramonto's. Highlights included having Ajay and his wife cook lovo one night for us! The Fijian people are so friendly and at the end of the 10 days, we felt part of the community.

Fantastic house

Our party of five had the most wonderful holiday staying in Raintree Garden. From the moment we were met at the airport until we left we were so well looked after by Jay. The house had everything we needed including fruit from the garden. Nothing was too much trouble for Jay and his wonderful tour guide Ajay. Ajay showed us many wonderful sights on the island including the Laveena Coastal Walk, Bouma Waterfalls and birdwatching. Ajay's wife cooked us a wonderful dinner. Jay's neighbour Vinna also cooked us a wonderful meal and provided us with some fantastic massages. There is a market on one side of the house and organic ice cream shop on the other, both we visited often. Everyone agreed it was one of the most peaceful and enjoyable holidays we have been on and we can't wait to go back.

Amazing beach house!

The home was incredible, the host was extraordinary! Above and beyond any expectations! The kayaking to the third Island from the house was awesome! If you go to the third Island make sure to take your snorkel gear.

Beautiful property

Meticulous grounds and house! Everything you need in a beautiful house. Ceiling fans and window screens much appreciated! The airstrip is right behind the house, but there are no early morning or evening flights so not a big deal at all; the kids liked watching the take offs and landings! Jason was very accommodating and helped us arrange some fun activities. Recommend taking the kayaks out to the islands to snorkel! Very friendly neighbours and community, easy walk to markets and organic ice cream stall. :). Highly recommend

Lovely home and setting!

We had a wonderful stay at the Raintree Garden! The house was clean and comfortable, and the garden around it very pretty, with tropical fruit trees and flowers all around it. Ajay, the driver who Jason introduced us to, was an amazing tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. His wife, Vadana, brought us a delicious Indian meal and also helped taxi us around the island. Thank you to both of them for making our visit to Taveuni a great experience.

Great time

We enjoyed our time at Raintree Gardens. The host was very helpful and quick in replying to questions we had. We had access to the garden produce and loved the view of the big raintree and the ocean beyond.

Beautiful seaside views with all the comforts of home on a tropical island

Jay was so helpful and the house was clean and well appointed. We had a lovely stay. We met some locals who made our stay just perfect and saw some local sights and made lifelong friends. An ideal way to explore the garden island of Fiji. We visited the Bouma waterfalls, the natural rock slide (this will scrape your bottom just a wee bit) and the dateline and had a bbq on the beach with new found friends Foi, Lolita and daughter Rhia. Just beautiful.

Simple snorkelling vacation in relaxed Fijian culture.

Our group of 2 adults and one teen enjoyed the simplicity of staying here - self catering, low tech island life. The house had a well equipped kitchen with refrigerator that had a small ice box. Great patio to sit out on, many tropical fruit in the garden to enjoy, including coconuts. Joe the gardener showed us how to open the coconuts. Vinna the manager living next door was a wealth of information. On our last night, we ordered a meal from her, which she cooked and brought over. We appreciated the ceiling fans that kept us cool in the evenings and the screens on all the windows and doors. Our teen liked having the airport runaway in our back yard - there are not many planes. There is the local bus coming by three times a day and it is easy to catch a taxi from the minimart closeby. We found it easy to walk or taxi to the local snorkelling spot. Only one negative is : being in a local neighbourhood meant that we were woken by the roosters each morning at 0430h. But, you could see that as living authentically amongst the locals! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this accomodation option.

Taveuni Stay at Raintree

We loved staying at Raintree Garden. It’s very peaceful and tranquil. It’s very close to two grocery stores, and about a mile away from a very nice beach. (Near Tramonto Restaurant.) Robert and Vinna were wonderful hosts. We would stay again.

This is a really nice two-bedroom home, very comfortable except the lack of A/C, which we could deal with. The view from the front patio was magnificent! We could eat our meals there while looking out at a beautiful vista of coconut palms and ocean. We totally enjoyed our stay there and appreciated being able to hire Vinna, the caretaker, to cook marvelous dinners for us. Jason, the owner, was a very attentive communicator with all the questions we had beforehand. He was very easy to work with and likeable!

Emplacement et confortable

Très bon emplacement ne étions 2 mais parfait pour 4 grande mais on confortable propre agréable calme Jason est un hôte ttes gentil avec de très bon conseils et pret a tous moments a vous accompagner soit pour visiter soit pour faire des courses au village voisin qui se trouve a 15 km mais bénéficie de toutes les commodités (super marché médecin et..)Nous garderons un merveilleux souvenir de cet endroit un très grand Merciii à Jason sa femme et son fiston adorable. JE CONSEILLE FORTEMENT CETTE LOCATION.

We bought this beautiful property in 2016 with the dream of turning it into a vacation rental. After buying the place in 2016 we moved from Hawaii to Taveuni to do some renovations to the house and get our hotel license for the property. With lots of hard work from friends and family, we opened up as a licensed hotel in 2018.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Location, location, location! The house is located right in the heart of Matei, two markets within a 5 minute walk from the house with all the essentials you need for your stay. Great restaurants all within walking or a short bike ride. Plenty of white sand beaches scattered around town, and the best place to kayak and snorkel is just across the street from the house. We have 4 small islands just offshore which make for a beautiful view from the deck and provide some great coral as well as a white sand beach on the 3rd island which you will almost always have to yourself!

We provide free transportation to and from the airport, and full access to all the veggies, herbs and fruits on the property. We also have home cooked meal options, cooking classes, massages, island tours, and other activities we are happy to help arrange for you.
