Our friends have a cottage down the road and we have a big annual neighbor weekend. This is the third year our group has stayed at this property. Hilda was great and prompt with communication. The house is roomy and comfortable. The kitchen is sparsely supplied, but we knew that coming in. There is a musty smell to parts the property and the floor near the entrance is buckling. It’s an older cottage and the price is right for what we need it for. The deck is spacious and the view to the channel is pretty. We will stay there again in future.

Very Pleasant Location

Everything was amazing. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Wildlife was everywhere. Great fishing right in the backyard. Just the escape we needed. Thank you for a perfect stay.

The house was very nicely decorated. Open concept made it very spacious. Ample bedrooms. The deck was nice to sit on and watch the geese and swans in the channel. Nicely stocked with kitchen utensils, paper towel and toilet paper. The owners were very quick to respond and gave great instructions for how to pick up your keys. We would stay here again if we were in the area. That being said there were some downsides. You have to bring your own linens and towels, no dishwasher. The hot water does not last for a full shower. The one thing that really needs attention is the floor in the kitchen and bathroom. It is very soft in spots where it must be rotting under the flooring. It had quite a bit of give and while we never felt unsafe walking on it was unnerving.

The cottage was perfect for our group of 6 and we enjoyed the amenities of the yard when not out on the lake. Hoping to be back next year!

Perfect long weekend

The property is well equipped and on a quiet street. Check in was easy as well as checkout. Plenty of seating and comfy beds. Perfect for families with big kids or small.

Great family stay!

The manager was so easy to communicate with, and came out several times when we had questions. Went above and beyond. Loved fishing out on the back deck and the lake was clean and great for swimming.

Nice weekend getaway

Always enjoy spending time on Magician Lake. It's beautiful and never over crowded. We always rent the pontoon boat to go on sandbar or fishing. Love to sit by the bonfire at night.

Peaceful long weekend

Our family had such a nice time here! Close enough to Dowagiac to be convenient, but out ebough to be perfectly peaceful. The lake and channel were great, the hosts accommodating, and the house we clean and spacious. I would definitely book here again! We had a good time just lpumging outside, fishing off the dock, and taking our little boat out.

We love Turtle Cove!

We had a wonderful stay at Turtle Cove and on Magician lake! The house was perfect for our two families. Hilda was lovely and accommodating as always! The property is beautiful and we have so much fun hanging out in the yard and on the lake. We always enjoy our stay here! We will be back next year!

Beautiful area, communicative and accommodating hosts, lovely spacious clean house and comfortable beds. Everything we needed in the kitchen was available so we were able to relax and have nice meals together. There is boat access about a mile up the road and a dock in the backyard on the channel to park the boat. There were pontoon boats available for rent so we were able to take a group of family members out onto the lake for fishing, swimming, and a relaxing ride. This was our second Labor Day weekend staying here and it was just as lovely as the first year!

Turtle Cove

The cabin was very clean. 1 queen bed 6 twin beds. I felt it was a good value. Nice back deck. Nice appliances and kitchen. It is on a small creek leading to the lake. Which is very close.

Repeat customer of Hilda given how well these properties are run. She is the best -- very responsive and always on top of any issues we may have had. I highly recommend the two properties we stayed in.

Labor Day Get-A-Way

Good location on the channel with boat dock. I liked having the pontoon delivered there for us. Hostess knew we were getting in late and turned the lights on for us which was very welcoming. I woukd stay here again!
