This property is absolutely gorgeous! Decorated beautifully and generously stocked. Plenty of seating inside and out. The beds are very comfortable. Very quiet and yet close to everything. The driveway is definitely very STEEP but manageable. I thank Foscoe Rentals for being so responsive and helpful from the reservation process right through checkout! Wish we could have stayed longer!! Highly recommend!!!!!

Our stay at Sticks n Stones was fantastic. The staff at Foscoe rentals was very attentive and answered all our questions in a timely manner. The house itself was clean and well supplied and the listing was very accurate. We had 7 adults and 2 children (ages 5 and 6) and had plenty of room (sleeps 10) plenty of bathrooms (3.5) and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook and clean. As others have mentioned, the driveway was pretty steep but nothing that wasn't manageable. The porches were well supplied with seating including lots of rocking chairs and a outdoor dining area. Overall would give it 5/5 stars and would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful home. Great location. Plenty of parking for our two families. House had everything we needed. While the management company was responsive, we wish we didn’t have had to call to report that we had to clean the exterior spaces, the gas grill was broken (propane tank was full as we requested but grill was not working), and televisions in top bedrooms did not work. Given all that, we would rent this home again!

Thank you so much for choosing our home and for taking the time to share your feedback! We're thrilled you enjoyed the location, parking, and amenities for your group. We sincerely apologize that you encountered those maintenance issues during your stay. That's not the experience we strive for, and we appreciate you reporting them promptly. We're happy we were able to bring a grill for your use for the remainder of your stay. The homeowner has replaced the old one since your departure. Your willingness to rent with us again means everything. We'd love to make your next visit even better!

Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice! It’s a beautiful home. Things to note: the driveway is STEEP! At the time we were staying, the downstairs did have a light odor to it. But the kitchen was wonderful and loved all the seating options. Great for three families as we each had our own floor.

God response about extinguished pilot light for main living room fireplace. Was remedied within hour.s Exterior of the property had clearly not been maintained in a diligent manner. Step on a steep exterior stair case was broken and unsafe. I emailed video with this info and received no reply.

Overall, the property itself was nice and has potential. However, the inside bottom level of this house was uninhabitable. No one could stay downstairs on that level as the smell of dampness and mold was absolutely unbearable. We had to share the rooms upstairs as we couldn’t use the bottom floor at all. While I realize we are deep in the woods, the outside needed a serious tidy and clean. The bedroom on the main level needs a window covering on the door out to the porch for privacy and the porch itself needs some kind of security latch. The two TVs upstairs did not work and the lighting wasn’t quite enough to brighten up the rooms. On a positive note, the kitchen was fantastic and well equipped, as well as a very serene setting with wraparound porch and plenty of seating. Overall this was a very nice property in a beautiful location, however if you have any medical or breathing issues I would not recommend this house due to the dampness and mold situation.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely sorry the lower level wasn't suitable for your stay. We will have this checked and see what can be done to alleviate the dampness. We also hear you on the other concerns: the TV functionality, lighting, window covering, and porch security. These are all valid points we're addressing. We're so glad you enjoyed the kitchen and the peaceful setting and would love to have you visit with us again if you are back in the High Country.

Gorgeous home

This is a beautiful, comfortable home. We enjoyed it so much. The location was perfect for visiting the area. You do need the four wheel drive for the driveway which is steep. We would love to come back when we can enjoy the beautiful porches! It was a little cold for that this trip. But the skiing was great!

Sticks and Stones is a beautiful home! My family enjoyed our stay so much! We loved the large kitchen/dining/family area where we could gather to eat and play games. We loved the views and feeling surround by God's creation. The home is conveniently located to attractions but nestled far enough away to be private. As others have stated, the driveway is very steep and was a little slick with leaves that had fallen. We cleared those away and had no trouble once we figured out how to strategically park our four vehicles. Just keep in mind you will likely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle if there's snow on the driveway. Thanks for a great visit!

Family Vacation

The property was a perfect fit for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the well appointed kitchen, large family room with fireplace, and comfortable beds with ample bathrooms. The driveway was steep and took a little practice. Ample room for two cars up by the house and one car partway up the drive.
