Loved it!

We loved this house!! The place was clean and comfortable and had good access to the lake/local stores and restaurants ect. I would stay again.

Lovely stay in Hartwood 5

Our family had a great weekend at WISP thanks to this charming place. The only concern was the loft pull out bed which no longer is in functional for sleeping. But otherwise we all appreciated the accommodations!

Four night family trip

Overall very nice place with a very good view of the lake. A little dated but comfortable. Some of the things that need to be addressed though... Dishwasher was filled with wet dirty dishes when we arrived. (frying pan with bacon grease and a glass still with lipstick on it. ) Overhead kitchen light fixture didn’t work, and trust me I tried every wall switch... If you are planning on working on-line while you are there, the best WiFi speed we could get was only 15 mb/sec. barely enough to check email so we ended up tethering to our phones. On one previous review, they mentioned dusty blinds...that is still the case. I looked closely at all of the pictures before booking and I noticed the Keurig coffee maker, so... we came well stocked with cups but there was no Keurig to be found. Otherwise conveniently located to boat rentals and food shopping etc..

Good Location

The property management company is very responsive and helpful. The property itself is in a great location. We were there in the winter, so there were no problems with noise from other people nearby. The property itself is a bit dated and could use some new carpet upstairs, but other than that, it worked well for us.

Lake Side getaway

Thank you the apportioning to stay at you property. It was a gorgeous weekend with beautiful sunsets over the lake. The view is amazing and close to so many things to do and places to eat. Thank you again

Deep Creek Lake Rental - Hartwood Village

My family of four rented out unit #5 in Hartwood Village. The rental was clean with the proper essentials (toiletries, cooking utensils, pot and pans and extra towels which were wrapped in plastic for safety) The décor could be updated as well as cleaning of the rug downstairs. The lake view is amazing. Great distance from all activities.

Wonderful location and area

The property was pretty much as pictured....great location and beautiful view....The decor and carpet are dated and stained which was a little disappointing....but overall the trip was wonderful. Cannot beat the view or the location for sure!!

Nice place in a great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience at Hartwood Village #5. We took advantage of the reserved boat slip and enjoyed the new carpet and recently updated appliances including the washer and dryer. The AC was in good working order, and when the Kurig failed on our first day, it was replaced later that day. One concern that we have is with the other renters in adjacent units that do not control their barking dogs. Since the units are independently owned, and not necessarily managed by Taylor Properties, you are dependent on the cooperation of the tenant to control their pet. The only issue with the unit itself was with the toilets which are unusually small. My wife and are both over six feet tall and it was difficult to situate ourselves comfortably on them.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a nice stay at the townhome. The only concern was that maintenance showed up on Friday. Apparently there was a water leak downstairs and maintenace said they did not know anyone was there. My husband and I were both sleeping in the living room when I heard someone yelling "hello, anyone here". I do understand the concern but possibly there could have been a call to my cell phone. To be honest, It would have been embarrassing for both parties, or dangerous. We did avoid using the downstairs shower on saturday morning to allow extra time for the repair to dry. Then there was also some other type of problem when we left sunday (the ground was dug up outside); however it did not affect out stay. I did receive a call from Kristin on Saturday offering a late check out but our plans for Sunday were already in place, we actually were out around 11. So it would have been nice to receive a discount. We would have only used the downstairs the entire stay had the leak not occurred. Going up those steps were a bit tricky. Also, it said in an email I got to stop by the office before we left for my driver license copy; however I did not get this email until now. I did stop before going to the townhouse on Thursday but no one asked me for my driver license so I hope it is ok. The townhouse was very nice though. Nice area; however I would have preferred a bottom unit. It probably should be clearly stated when sending information. I do not do steps well and this could be a problem for someone disabled if not asked about this. Also, more information should be provided on the heating and air units. I assume the one controls were heat and one air, and I assume for summer we were NOT to keep the heat on at least 50? Overall the stay was nice and the unit was very spacious. Overall the stay was pleasant.

The townhome was very clean and cozy, it even had some cute Christmas decor! There was a shovel and rock salt for our front steps which was helpful as we had a coating of snow during our stay. Taylor Rental was easy to work with and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Nice place, it's not easy water access

I felt that the description was misleading in that there is no indication that to get to the waterfront and yard, you must go out the FRONT door, down TWO flights of steps and around the building. This is unacceptable for supervising children, which was the main reason I chose a waterfront property. When I spoke to staff I was told they would revise the description, but no offer to help me.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great weather in Deep Creek Lake. The rental unit was well located and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. It was nice that some of the original trees on the shoreline remained which made for a nice view from the balcony. There were a few maintenance issues. The spiral staircase and balcony railing could both stand to be tightened. The bathrooms could use some new caulk in the showers. Other than that we really enjoyed the vacation and it was a nice play to stay.

Always fun with family

Family from 6 states were able to gather and hang out on the common area deck. Parking is limited. The dock needs work. Our unit could use some updating. Our only issue with the property management was a call about a family gathering where they did not have all of the information -- it was awkward.
