Large home great location

Really spacious clean home. Great location. Bathrooms for all bedrooms and the deck was nice to sit on.

We thought the house was terrific and the location was terrific. Very well stocked with appliances, dishes, pots, and pans. The Hot Tub was good and the house was clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Property

The townhouse is very large and in a great location. You could walk to Wisp (we drove given all of the stuff we had). The house was also nicely appointed and clean. My one suggestion for people to staying is to bring an extra towel or two. Each bathroom gets two bath towels so there aren’t additional ones for the hire tub or if someone wants more than one towel. Great property overall and highly recommend it!

The layout was excellent and the house was surprisingly roomy. We loved the lower level area for the kids and the hot tub was a hit. With the close distance to the ski resort, this house was perfect and we'll be staying here in the future.

Reviewer Comments: The home was beautifully decorated and well maintained, which made for a very cozy and relaxing few days for Mom while the boys were on the slopes. The three friends loved having their own space downstairs, and took full advantage of the hot tub and pool table. The house is very well situated, with many restaurants close by, and of course, the slopes at Wisp only a short drive away. The boys even walked home on a couple of occasions. It couldn't have been more perfect for our group.

Spacious and well appointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This duplex was extremely roomy and in a great location in the heart of McHenry. Upon arrival, I was unable to get into the home as the key code I was given did not work. I called the rental office and was given two additional codes, neither of which worked. John from maintenance came out within 15 minutes and got the key pad working and I was given yet a third code which we used for the week. The home was very clean and the kitchen, well appointed. My only complaint is that the home owners have 2 "Owner's closets" - one in the basement and the second, in the first floor bedroom. Thus, there is no access to a closet to hang up clothes in that room. If the house is going to be available for rent, a guest in that room should have access to a closet. Without being asked, John immediately went out to purchase a a framed rack to hang up some clothes. I commend John for his fast and creative responses to the two issues that were problematic.

Inside, the space is large, despite it being a townhouse which looks small from the outside. Very clean. Sparkling new wood floors on main level. Nice bathrooms too. Plenty of space, plenty of bedrooms, plenty of ways to spread out or come together. The upkeep of the outside of the house could use a little attention. And being on a main road isn't great. No Lakeview. But if you're coming in the winter, it's right across the street from Wisp...which would be very convenient. Overall, a great place to stay with a puppy!

It was a wonderful Memorial Day!

It was rainy and cloudy outside, but we had spend many fun hours playing billiard and glass chess with kids. Lots of TV channels and huge comfy corner couch. The house is pretty big and light, high quality furniture and TV in each room, good maintained, thin cotton linens and lots of towels in each bathroom. Highly recommended for families with kids! We were ready to grill steaks and found out that gas tank was empty, so we made a call to the office and 10 minutes later a handsome guy brought a new tank and installed it!

Reviewer Comments: Our family had a great time, but we were disappointed with a few things. First there was no fire pit even though it was advertised as part of the rental and we had called and checked to make sure we would have one. Then when we arrived and asked about it we were told the owners had changed the minds. Also, there was no gas for the grill, but that was taken care of by the rental company.

The road was too busy to walk along and the other option was to cut across private property. So, we did have to drive everyday and shovel the parking lot to get out.
