Just finished our stay at Jack's Cabin. An absolute perfect place for a relaxing getaway for friends and family. Our trip was five dad's on a guys trip and we couldn't have been happier. Incredible deck and views, easy access to the lake, arguably the largest deck on the lake, clean, comfortable and well stocked. We will definitely be back. Most important, Jack was extremely easy to work with and helped make it a relaxing trip going into it.

Jacks Cabin was everything we were looking for. The cabin was perfect for us and the lake view was awesome! If you're looking for a quiet get away and drop in some fishing poles, this is the place to go. Thanks Jacks Cabin for letting use your place...we will be back! Beautiful lake front cabin

we really enjoyed our stay. Owner is very helpful. We went out fishing every day on the lake. Boats and dock were a blast. We will definitely be back again.

Caught 50+ Bullhead Catfish, 5 huge bass, and 1 sunfish. Fished right from the yard above the rocks. My family wants to return to Jack’s again soon for trout in Spring.

Jack's is great!

A really fun place to stay. The kids had a great time fishing. We even night fished right off of the deck. All together we caught and released almost 100 fish in 4 days. Jack's was money well spent and an adventure the kids won't soon forget. We will definitely be back.

Very nice. On the lake. Deck is wonderful. Bedrooms very adequate. Kitchen has all utensils. Very quiet. Go to Charlie Clark’s for prime rib.

If you are looking for rest and relaxation, look no further. This cabin is nestled on beautiful Rainbow Lake and offers amazing views. We have been here numerous times and have had great experiences each time. Jack keeps this place in tip-top shape and frequently upgrades making this home more enjoyable each time. Jack responds to questions very quickly and is attentive to our needs.

Great stay at Jack’s Cabin!

Split floor plan was perfect for two couples and two furry friends. We pretty much lived outside on the large deck overlooking the lake—amazing view (as advertised). Part of the deck is covered, which provides great shade and protection from inclement weather. We enjoyed all of our meals at the large patio table. The “half door” at the steps exiting the deck was perfect for keeping our furry friends in. Jack was very responsive and a great host. We already booked our stay for next year!

Best views ever...

We loved Jack's cabin, the setting on the lake is serene, with never ending captivating water fowl action. The house has an amazing deck for dining, or just hanging out. House is clean, 3 big bedrooms and very roomy. Location within Pinetop/Lakeside is great, less than 10 minutes to restaurants and shopping. Jack was top notch in his communications and responsiveness to our needs. Even his cleaning crew was welcoming. Good Stay ! Look forwarded to another visit as soon as we can

Worth a one time stay

The cabin, deck and dock we’re definitely worth the stay. The owner from my perspective is definitely a little overbearing. I get that he cares for and upkeeps his property for all visitors to enjoy but the overly warning prior to the stay and all of the descriptions and papers taped on the wall within the house is just way too much. As the person who paid for the stay for my family I found it kind of hard to relax because he had such a list of rules that he sent in an email, that he followed up in a phone call and that he sent in a 10-15 page intro prior to us arriving to the cabin and that he also pasted on just about every wall in the house. Would recommend to friends if they are looking for a quiet weekend away to a beautiful escape.

Thank you Sierra for the review. Unfortunately after 27 years renting jackscabin to complete strangers I've learned that all rules have to be in writing and given to every Vacationer, especially with a group of 7 adults and 5 children like you had. The Rental Agreement I send to every Vacationer is required by my insurance company and recommended by my attorneys, it is not 10-15 pages long, it is only 5 pages. Much of the literature I send simply tells about Rainbow Lake and my 4 boats and private pier that the vacationers get to use while staying at jackscabin . All of my past Vacationers who stay at jackscabin expressed to me how much they appreciate me giving them this information. The Rental Agreement asks for standard information and explains all of the rules and guidelines regarding the Lake, Boats and Pier so no one damages anything or gets hurt. Other Vacation Homes that aren't sitting of 200 feet of Lakefront property with a 36 foot pier and 4 boats won't have these rules or paperwork because it's not necessary. When you are Renting a Lakefront home that also gives you the use of 4 boats and a private pier there are going to be rules to protect everyone. What you call "prior overly warning" I call confirming that the number of people and the vehicle information is still the same as it was when you first made your reservation. This is another insurance rule that I have to follow. I'm sorry you don't like House rules, Lake rules, Boat rules or Pet rules.. If you owned a property like this and you were giving the key to a group of 12 strangers I guarantee that you would have the same rules. You are Welcome Back anytime but if Rules make it hard for you to relax you probably won't come back. Sincerely, Jack Wolf

Amazing surprise for my family!

My wife has always wanted to stay at a cabin on the water, and I finally found what she was looking for! The property was amazing! Clean, easy to access, and super roomy. My two teenage boys loved the WiFi, and the great fishing. Working directly with Jack Wolf, the owner, made this once in a lifetime experience even better. He is so accessible, and thorough, leaving no detail out. My family and I would move into his cabin if he would let us, if I could put 10 stars in every category I would. I have been looking really hard for a place like this, and now my search is over. We are already making plans to return next year. We stayed 4 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. I would recommend Jack’s Cabin to anyone looking for the best overall family trip to the mountains, you won’t regret it! 😎

Totally blown away!! This lakefront cabin is the BEST!! This cabin has everything!!

Look no more!! This is where you want to stay!! If your looking for lakefront property and that cabin feel, this is it!! Huge gorgeous cabin with fireplace, boats, giant tub, beautiful living room, amazing kitchen, comfortable bed, TV in each bedroom, skylight, patio, full deck, firepit, big kitchen table, open concept, recliners, two huge couches, floating dock for fishing, and an breathtaking view of the lake from every room!! Words and pictures can not describe how special this place is!! We will come back every year, here on out!! The owner is super helpful and quick response time!! This place is immaculate!! Perfect for couples, families, and friends!! You will not regret staying here!! Worth every penny!! A surprising part was the wild life on the lake!! Saw tons of geese, ducks, and birds!! Lots of privacy and walking paths as well!! Just sooooo fantastic!! Thanks!!

Such a GREAT and RELAXING cabin

We had such a great and relaxing time at Jack's Cabin! The entire process was a 5 star experience. Jack was very informative and I enjoyed our phone conversations. Yes, phone conversations. I appreciated the calls over texting and email! The cabin was extremely clean and had tons of room! The serenity on the back patio was amazing. the Lake was peacful! It was well worth the price of admission! Thanks again Jack!

In the wild, but not

We had a great time. The location of the cabin is such that you can feel like you are in the wilderness but still get to the store if you need toilet paper or check out a yard sale. Thank you, Jack!

Beautiful place to stay

Enjoyed our stay at the cabin for spring break. We enjoyed snow and then spring. The kids enjoyed playing in the snow and then around the property. The back porch was very nice when it was warmer. We enjoyed rowing the boats on the lake and enjoyed the ducks and Canadian geese. A few tried fishing but the fish were not biting so there was no catching. Plenty of room for 10 of us though we did take 2 twin blow up mattresses instead of using the futon in the master bathroom. The mud/utility room was great for leaving boots and coats when returning from being in the snow. Plenty of hot water for showers which is a real plus for me. There was plenty of room for all of us to sit and eat together. We look forward to returning in the future, hopefully when the fish are biting.

What a special Cabin!

My family enjoyed three nights at the cabin and were comfortable during the cold nights and entertained during the days without ever leaving the property. The kitchen is well stocked, the views are unbeatable and the fishing was right out the back door! I am sure those property is even better in the summer months. I could see my family going back to find out

Amazing Family Experience

This was our first time at Jack’s cabin. It was everything he says it will be. Our kids were totally entertained on the property every day. The lake was so peaceful and the air so refreshing. We had the best family experience!! We will definitely be back!

Serenity in September on Rainbow Lake

This property mirrors the photos on the website. There is plenty of room inside; however, we spent most of our time outside on the deck and boat dock fishing and enjoying the lake and the wildlife. The new AC units were a valuable addition to bedrooms two and three. The kitchen is large and well-stocked. Use of the boats were a pleasant bonus. Jack is quick to respond to any and all inquiries and very accommodating. We are in the process of booking our next stay.

I was fortunate in 1998 to have stumbled on an acre on 200 feet of Lakefront Property on Rainbow Lake. jackscabin was on the property in less than 8 months and it hasn't been empty since 1998. If you choose to make a reservation thru VRBO you will still have to fill out my "Rental Agreement" that is required by my insurance company. I will send this to your personal e-mail after you have paid for your reservation. I will also call you for some additional information. If you don't fill out my Rental Agreement or accept a phone call from me within 48 hours you will have to cancel your reservation and you will be issued a full refund.

jackscabin is on a very rare piece of Lakefront Property in Arizona. Privately owned lakefront vacation homes are extremely rare in Arizona. They only exist on Rainbow Lake in Pinetop/Lakeside, Arizona. I own and manage jackscabin so there aren't any extra management fees. I charge you my nightly rate, a $150-$200 cleaning fee, a $100-$300 REFUNDABLE Security Deposit and Pet Fees (If Applicable). VRBO will charge you their 12% VRBO Service fee, their 3% VRBO VISA payment fee and their 6.5% VRBO Lodging Tax. Property owners cannot waive, change or discount these VRBO fees and taxes because the VRBO fees and taxes go to VRBO, not the Property Owners. The cabin is professionally cleaned after every renter, so it is always ready for the next family. The 4 seasons in Pinetop/Lakeside, Arizona are great for everything you want to do like fishing, snow skiing, horseback riding, go-carting, going to the Casino, hiking, site seeing or if you prefer to do nothing more than sit on the front deck to enjoy the cool mountain climate. You won't find another place with scenery like this.

I supply 5 Boats, 3 Kayaks, a Canoe, the ores, anchors, life jackets and a battery charger for those families who want to bring their own trolling motors and batteries. There is Steaming TV and DVD players in the living room and in every bedroom. The living room also has a blue ray player and stereo. Hi speed internet is available at no extra charge. The cabin is always clean. The beautiful wood floors, knotty pine ceilings, stoned fireplace, solid pine doors and log siding give the cabin a warm, comfortable mountain feel. The Lake right out the front door is the most unique feature for any cabin in Arizona. jackscabin is on an acre with no streets, sidewalks or highways within miles. The private road that takes you to jackscabin dead ends at jackscabin. Vacationers will not be bothered with highway noise, traffic or people wandering around the property. My rates are unbeatable for a Lakefront Cabin with 5 Boats, 3 Kayaks, a Canoe and a 36 Foot Private Pier. There are no management fees. Dogs are ok with approval. (DOGS ONLY, NO OTHER ANIMALS ALLOWED) 3 Dogs maximum.
