It is a tranquil location that is perfect for relaxation. The owners are very friendly and provide a nice and fresh breakfast every morning. Minutes' walk to the beach and good for swimming or walking.

Farm Stay

We visited the Maru Koala park and this is a stones throw from there. We got more of our animal fix when Shakeera helped us feed some of the farm animals in the morning. For dinner, the Kernot Food and Wine Store is a winner with delicious wood fired pizzas. It’s a cosy little stay and we had a lovely time.

Lovely room, firm bed. So nice to wake up to tweeting & bleating in the morning. Peaceful atmosphere. Close to beach & not far from Phillip Island.

Lovely stay

The room was set up well and had added bonus of some books and games which came in handy with a relaxing slow start to the morning. Although we had a one night stay our hosts made us feel welcome and we had fun helping Shakira feed the animals. Highly recommended!

Conveniently Cute & Cosy Retreat

The room had a cute country cottage feel. It was clean with everything you required for a short stay. It was quiet and comfy and clean. Location was close to walking tracks to water and drive to nearest town. Nice hidden location. Hosts were friendly.

Farm stay

My husband and I booked this place to be close to our son on a camping adventure. The communication was fabulous and I loved the personal touch that was provided. The breakfast was substantial and it was a lovely place to stay if you wanted to walk along the water's edge or view the farm. I would like to take my extended family back to the property and stay in the bigger holiday house sometime. The hosts were very friendly.

Absolutely awesome

This property was so wonderful. Absolutely the nicest place I have ever stayed in. It felt so homely, so relaxing. So clean and comfortable. The owners there were so friendly. It was a really fun place to stay with all the animals, all the extras like games and colouring books in the room and toys for outside play. It gave my children heaps of activities to do. I cannot praise this place enough! We could walk to the beach, we could feed animals, breakfast food was supplied in very generous quantities. Thankyou Stephen and Shakira xx

Great place to retreat from the city

Wanted to get out of Melbourne and explore Philip Island. I found room was really cozy, had a lot of nice touches and details were carefully considered; enjoyed having my own entrance and having my breakfast on the veranda watching the goats (and the goats watching me) everything is there, even farm fresh eggs, cereals, toast, tea, etc for breakfast. So quiet and serine, had a wonderful night’s sleep. Shakira was wonderful, welcoming and helpful but also letting me do my own thing. It is a great base to explore the Bass Coast area and everything it has to offer. Already looking forward to returning soon.

Great experience, the owners were very accommodating and lovely to deal with

10/10, going back again soon. The freedom to walk around and play with the goats and other animals. With a short walk to a secluded beach, it was beautiful. Super friendly owners who were always up for a chat, but never too imposing on the relaxing stay

Cute and comfortable.

Although a short drive to beaches or places in the area it was such a comfortable and appealing cottage to stay in. We loved it and hope to return. The hosts were prompt to answer queries and we felt the perfect balance of knowing they were there if needed but being on our own also.

Amazing hidden treasure!

My husband and 2 small kids found this little gem and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room has everything you need from a comfy bed, fold out for the kids, smart tv, ensuite and a lovely private deck to enjoy a glass of wine. The room has so much character and the lovely hosts even supplied us with various breaky supplies and took our kids for a morning walk to hand feed their animals. Loved every second, great value for money we will be back!

Very pleasant indeed.

Shakira and Stephen were very nice and friendly, provided fresh eggs and other goodies for breakfast every morning, and were very accommodating with allowing us to park boat and vehicle next to our room. Room was nice, and included most facilities. We would perhaps suggest Shakira and Stephen to consider including an electric frying pan.

Comfortable and good value

For a couple of nights with two people this property was great value. Self catering options for breakfast were very good, but local takeaway limited. We were arriving late back from Phillip Island in the dark both nights and this was a bit of a challenge. My 11-y-o daughter loved being able to meet and feed the animals. Very friendly and accommodating hosts, good communication.

Stayed with my children.

We only stayed one night but we loved it. Small room with everything you need. Owners were very responsive to text messages and made a late check in easy. They supplied extra single beds and bedding for my kids at only a small extra charge. In the morning we met Shakira who let us go in and pat the goats and she took my children for a walk around the farm. Very relaxed...we would happily stay again.

Wonderful haven to enjoy nature

Shakira and Steve were welcoming and flexible. The accomodation was as described - access to the bbq and fridge made it easy to self cater. And we enjoyed eating brekkie on the verandah or in the gardens. We appreciated being away from the crowds, while within 20-25 mins drive of surf beaches and of the coastal bike routes. The alpacas and goats were pleasant company as we enjoyed our sundowners. The yummy Euro Eats (takeaway) was the main eating option in Grantville, which was fine because we preferred to self cater.
