Esta hermosa 1250 sq. Ft. Casa tiene 100 pies de privado, de arena frente de la orilla del lago en un terreno de un acre. Disfrutar de su café de la mañana o el té en el muelle con impresionantes amaneceres inspiradoras sobre el lago de la antorcha. Pino nudoso y una espectacular chimenea de piedra natural se suman al carácter acogedor de esta casa. Verano en el lago ofrece la serenidad en esta parte del lago, así como un ambiente muy festivo en la porción de barra de arena del sur del lago. Se trata de un familiar o una escapada romántica con muchas actividades que se adapte a estilo de nadie.

3 dormitorios con un rey, reina, y cama de tamaño completo. En la sala de estar con vista al lago hay un sofá-cama.

La cocina está totalmente equipada con todas las comodidades del hogar, incluyendo estufa, nevera, microondas y cafetera. Extremely clean, well equipped and perfectly situated on the lake.

We can’t say enough about this lovely home. Everything one would need was provided as well as comfort inside and out. The hosts were so helpful and provided great recommendations for activities in the area. Can’t not wait to visit Torch Lake again soon!

Upper Michigan is beautiful!

We were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves right on the water of a wonderful lake . Fishing was awesome. Peace and quiet plus. The house was great but no dishwasher, had to put my husband to work. I’d do it all again!

It was an absolute pleasure having Michele and family to our cabin. They were very respectful of our cabin. She went above and beyond and washed all linens and comforters for all three bedrooms as well as wash all towels for the bathroom and for outside. The house was neat and in the excellent condition. We appreciate the care her and her family took with our cabin.. We would definitely love to have them back. Henry and Dawn

Family vacation

The experience was a fun one for our family! The lake, the weather, the time together was made possible by the owners allowing us into their home! We so appreciate this and feel so thankful to have had the opportunity. There were some issues with the home itself that took away from the overall enjoyment and would not return to this specific home.

The issues are with her, not with the home. I will not engage in mudslinging here, but what she complained about was absolutely ridiculous. There is just no pleasing some people.

Rustic cottage getaway on gorgeous Torch Lake!

Positives: a. 4.5 Stars- Highly recommend- would stay here again in a heartbeat! b. location, location, location- lake-front w dock in a quiet cove. Calm BEAUTIFUL water c. fully stocked kitchen/pantry w plates, cups, glasses, cookware, pots, pans, linens d. washer/dryer e. firepit and fireplace w vintage iron tools f. 1 full BR and toilet/sink in utility room g. lots of TVs- although did not watch much- scenery on lake much better h. rustic theme/decor- loved the furniture and big kitchen table- great for family dinners and playing cards- sits 6 comfortably i. brand new deck in back w picnic table- very very nice j. owners friendly, helpful, and responded timely to all of our inquiries Areas of opportunity: a. no space to hang clothes in master BR and most closets/dressers/chests in all bedrooms contain clothes and food b. food left in pantry/fridge/freezer- we brought a lot of our own food and had to move previous guest's or owner's food to utility room to make room for our food. c. no gas left for gas grill- we used oven so not a deal breaker for us d. found hair on pillow cases on master bed. We brought our own bedding (always do) so again not a deal breaker for us We are thankful for the opportunity we had to stay here and hope to make it back up again to take a break by this breathtaking lake. Thank you for everything!

Thanks for the response? a. The master bedroom is a converted sunroom, so there is no closet, only an armoire where we lock up most of our belongings. There are 2 additional chests in the master bedroom that are empty. 1 of the 2 closets in the 2nd bedroom is now locked for our own use. There is another closet in the 3rd bedroom that is empty. The fridge was empty besides condiments & beverages that all guests are free to use. Most of the items in the pantry had been moved into the bottom of the armoire to make room. There may have been additional items left behind by the previous tenant that the housekeeper would not know about. We now have space to lock up the canned & dry goods. c. They had asked if there was gas in the grill & I told him that it was working the last time I was there. The previous tenant did not let me know it was used up. I apologize. I refilled the tank. d. The house was cleaned professionally before they checked in. Sorry about the hair that was missed. I will mention it to the housekeeper.

Summer Vacation

My wife, four children (ages 16-22) and I spent a splendid week at the Burke's cottage. We found the Cozy Cottage on Torch Lake exactly as advertised. The cottage sits right down on the lake providing great access for water activities and great views of the lake. The lake has a nice sandy bottom in front of the cottage and it is relatively shallow several yards out. There is a mooring line out front which made it easy to secure the pontoon boat which we rented from a site on the lake. There is a nice deck on the back of the cottage with a gas grill where we enjoyed several meals around the picnic table. We also enjoyed nightly fires around the fire pit in the front yard. This was a great place to enjoy each others company. I strongly recommend the Burke's cottage to those looking for a similar experience.

Cottage get away with modern anenities

This is the second year we have rented this place because we absolutely love it! Very clean and provides a comfy cottage atmosphere while providing modern amenities. Plenty of room outside for lawn games, grilling and bonfires. We will continue to rent it each year if available.

A wonderful week on Torch

We have rented properties on different lakes in Northern Michigan for 9 summers and the Burkes home on Torch was one we would revisit. It was definitely a cottage but had all the amenities you would need. Having an extra 1/2 bath was important. We didn't use the beautiful back deck as much as we could have as we enjoyed the lake view on the other side of the house. We had a bon fire every night and we were on the lake ( and the lake is breathtaking and beautiful) every day. It's really nice that you can go right over to Elk Rapids in your boat! We had an issue parking our 22 foot boat trailer but Henry worked it out for us.

Quaint and very clean modern cabin

The property is situated in a beautiful wooded area right on the water. The lay out of the home is well done, providing much more space than what you may initially think. There are nice updates balanced with the quaint cabin decor. Incredibly clean, organized with plenty of electronic equipment and plug ins for convenience. The owners are very responsive and communicative. The boat ride to the sand bar is approximately 20-30 minutes depending on size of boat, weight, etc. The dock is not equipped to secure the boat so you have to use the moor, which is feasible, it can just be inconvenient and chilly to continuously walk through the water to get to the boat. We have been coming to Torch Lake for 10 years and have rented several different places, this was truly our favorite!

Great lake access!

Excellent lakefront property with lots of sandy shallow area for all ages with easy entry into the lake. House has all of the necessary amenities and the master bedroom lake-facing wall is windows so the view is remarkable along with the sounds of the water at night. Great for our family!

The sunrise view over Torch Lake is awesome in the morning. The cottage is conveniently located a short drive away from Elk Rapids for access to dining and shopping. With this rental, there is easy access to the water for swimming and launching kayaks. A wonderful place to spend a relaxing vacation on beautiful Torch Lake.

Great value!

Very clean & cozy spot on the lake! Super electronics & amazing view- kitchen was well stocked with cookware & spices, but outdoor furniture could be updated. Owner responded to our many inquiries quickly. Great location- short drive to Elk Rapids & Charlevoix which were fun! This place is relaxing & an excellent value for a family get away!

Completely delightful cottage on Torch!

We had a wonderful week in the Burke's cottage! It lacks nothing - from all the physical amenities (cool air, comfortable beds, washer, dryer, right on the lake) to the nice touches (coffee, spices, beach towels, lots of TV's), it was a wonderful experience! We would definitely return for a vacation with family or friends. A lovely, clean, comfortable cottage!

Henry and dawn, owners, are excellent. No hassle booking and their place is amazing, clean and in a great location. Torch lake is beautiful. We rented a pontoon for the week from dockside and it was an excellent experience. We will hopefully be back next year!!!

henry and dawn, the owners, are excellent. no hassle booking and their place is amazing, clean and in a great location. torch lake is beautiful. we rented a pontton for the week at dockside and was able to keep it moored at the home. we will hopefully be back next year. this is an excellent rental!!!!

Beautiful place

Mr Burke was very gracious, and accommodated my family with short notice and irregular scheduling dates. His house is nicer than what appears in the pictures. It is very comfortable with AC, laundry, plenty of hot water, and large screen TV with satellite! Most importantly the lakefront access is very private and beautiful with a small beach area for kids to play on and very shallow water going out even past the dock making it safe for kids to swim and play. We rented Kayaks and had a great time. Warning for those with smaller kids, his house if full of cute little knick knacks that attract small hands! you may want to watch the kids around the house. Overall a wonderful location with the beauty of torch lake with the privacy we wanted.

We look forward to sharing this property. Torch Lake is so clean and beautiful, it is as if you are in the Caribbean with the clarity of the water.
We enjoy every season with different activities and relaxing.
We love to walk the streets of Elk Rapids for food , shopping, and antiquing. We also love the wine tours and breweries in Traverse City, Old Mission, & Leelenau. Scenic rides to Charlevoix and Petoskey are also wonderful day trip highlights.
All water sports and golfing are also a lot of fun.
