Sturgeon Landing es un pequeño complejo privado en la popular cadena de lagos del río Sturgeon que atiende específicamente a reuniones familiares, vacaciones multifamiliares y todos los demás grupos grandes (es decir, álbum de recortes, club de lectura, retiro corporativo, etc.). Fantastic location and accommodations for my family of 25, all ages. So many things to do on property. It was very relaxing and we rented the boat for the entire time, it was great to have the option to hop on anytime. Matt was very responsive to my questions. Highly recommend!

Bucket list family vacation

We treated our 2 boys and their families to a vacation. There were 12 of us and we utilized all 4 cabins, enjoying privacy and quiet when needed. We really enjoyed the lodge and large porch for our family dinner gatherings and evening games. During the day you did what you pleased. . . . Fish, kayak , paddle board, swim, read, nap, play horse shoes, etc. the choices are endless. It’s a beautiful setting and Matt and CJ are wonderful hosts!!

It is the one place that we all agreed to come back to!

Everything was absolutely fine and we would definitely come again. Only wish there was better lighting in the main cabin because we have a lot of crafters and could have used better lighting. Lighting in the other cabins was just perfect.

Family Vaca 2024

Property is beautiful. Very nice lodging. Grounds are well groomed. The lodge and huge screen porch are so nice for family gathering and fun. We are a group of 20 and several small dogs and we all loved it. We had a great time even on the rainy days. Rent the pontoon from Matt. Going on the lake was a highlight for sure.

Family Reunion

Matt's place is the perfect place to host a reunion. We enjoyed it all! The kitchen and gathering rooms were amazing to hang out together. The vast grounds allowed the little kids room to play. The lake was awesome for kayaks and fishing. We will definitely be back.

Sturgeon Landing is a great place to stay

We had a group of 16 people with ages ranging from 21 months to 89 years young! They supply almost anything you can think of. A great location and property. We had a fabulous time and will be coming back. Everyone had enough space to roam around freely, sit at the lakeshore, play games, swim and fish. Highly recommend.

Side Lake Rental

Side Lake property checked many of the boxes that our family looks for in a vacation rental. We enjoyed all of the spaces. The cabins were roomy enough for all our families and came with many of the things that you would need. The kitchen and game area was a great asset to hang out in as a whole group. Being so close to McCarthy Beach was a lot of fun. We enjoyed some of the many UTV trails in the area. we were able to catch fish in the area lakes. Look forward to next year!!!

Fabulous

My brother rented this place for my mom, siblings and their families! We traveled all the way from Alaska for this and it did not disappoint! Wow! Where do I begin! So much fun and such a relaxing place to be! Matt and Cj are excellent hosts! The cabins and lodge are amazing:-) very clean. There is laundry on site for those who like to wash clothes while on vacation! We had so much fun on the pontoon and then going over to the beach to swim! The kids had a great time fishing from the dock also. Our nightly gatherings around the fire pit did not disappoint. The younger kids also had a playground, older kids played volleyball ect. I could go on and on. The lodge is great to get together to eat, play pool, ping pong, goose ball, or board games. Such an amazing place for large gatherings. Thank you so much Matt and Cj!

Adult Summer Camp

When we decided to vacation with our blended family of 17, this place became available and we quickly booked it. 4 cabins with 7 different bedrooms gave everyone a little privacy, while the lodge made it possible for us to gather together for meals and games. Matt and CJ were awsome hosts. Take the sunset cruise with them - we had a blast and they were generous with their time. The food CJ made for our sunset cruise was wonderful! The little ones enjoyed the small beach area. The adults enjoyed fishing off the dock and the kayaks and paddleboards. We were able to have a campfire every night with as much firewood as we wanted. The lodge kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed. Each cabin has a fairly well-stocked kitchen as well. Furinshings are comfortable enough. We could have found fun things to do onsite without every leaving the property. The beach at McCarthy Beach State Park, just 1/2 mile from the resort, is a great place to spend a warm day. Thanks for an awesome time, Matt and CJ!

Good fishing, Nice Cabins

We had a great time. Fishing was excellent. The lakes were beautiful. The Bear Den was wonderful. Lots to do even if you don't fish. I highly recommend staying here.

We have been doing family reunions for many years and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Hosts were gracious and property was pristine. If you stay here you will not want for anything to do., lake , games both indoor and out, unbelievable beach within walking distance, campfires, and just relaxation. We loved it and you will too.

Fun for all!

Matt was there to meet us and show us around. Matt and CJ were great and did everything they could to make our time there enjoyable. This is a great location right on the lake. There were 4 cabins for our group of 15 to share. Then we had the lodge for our common area where we enjoyed our meals together, played pool, ping pong, foosball and the younger kids watched some movies. We rented the pontoon which was great for getting out on the lake and also getting over to McCarthy Beach. All in all we highly recommend renting from Matt and CJ. Our family is currently looking at schedules for next summer to see if we can agree on a week to go back. Sturgeon Lodge was great and Fun for all!

Great Family Getaway

Matthew has a passion for what he does and that comes through in the Side Lake property. The cabins are clean and the grounds are in great shape. He went out of his way to coordinate the check-in, and made sure our needs were getting met throughout the week. There was never a shortage of things to do to keep the little kids or the big kids busy. Thank you, Matthew.

Perfect Family Retreat

Absolutely wonderful place to get together with a big group. We had 12 adults, 3 children, 2 Little kids under 1, and a few dogs. There was PLENTY of space for us all. The description posted was very accurate. We had everything we needed here except food/drink (no blender however, we did bring one). Small beach area is perfect for kids, and easy for adults to just dip in. McCarthy Beach is about a 1/2 mile down the road or 20 min pontoon ride and is beautiful. Lots of outdoor space to play games/hang out. Wonderful lodge for rainy days. Matt and CJ are great hosts and are on site most of the time for anything you need (but gave us plenty of privacy). We will be coming back.

AWesome lake vacation!

Our group was 17 people (ages 8-80+) and 3 dogs. Everyone had the best time! The property has all that you need and everything is beautifully maintained. There is a great state park nearby where you can swim, fish, bike and walk. We are already planning our trip for next year! Thanks Matt, CJ and boys for being amazing hosts!

Liked the property and upkeep of it. Owner Takes pride of property and was great. The reunion we had , the relatives liked the detail and the main lodge and seemed to have everything so you did not need to bring things except food.

Northern Paradise

Beautiful location right on the water. This resort is perfect for a large family vacation. The four cabins allow each family to have separate accommodations, yet they are close enough that everyone can hang out together. The lodge was a perfect place to have meals for the whole group. It was also a fun place to hang out on a rainy day. Movies, ping pong and the pool table made for some group fun. The cabins and the lodge are very well appointed. Matt and CJ (and the very well managed and friendly dogs Annie & Tuck) were the perfect hosts. Quick responses by email, and available during our stay for anything we might need. Our entire family of 18 would highly recommend Sturgeon Landing.

Great family reunion accommodations

The property is well maintained and has an abundance of amenities that made our vacation wonderful for a family of 25. The property is located on a channel that is connected to a chain of lakes and has ample dock space for your boats. We also rented one of Matt's pontoon boats that made our trip more enjoyable. They have kayaks and a plethora of outdoor games on site to play with. If it is raining, your private lodge has a pool table, foosball, ping pong, tv, couch, kitchen, dvd collection, etc to keep you entertained. There are 4 cabin units with full kitchens and baths with a/c. Matt was a great host, he responded quickly to all inquires, both prior to our arrival and during our stay. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for providing our family with a wonderful vacation and lifelong memories.
