** ACTUALIZADO ABRIL 2019 **

El proyecto de renovación de la casa de baños de la piscina Turtle Dunes / Sea Dunes se ha completado y la piscina está abierta a partir del 6 de abril de 2019. 

Además, algunas unidades en el complejo Turtle Dunes se someterán a reparaciones en el balcón a partir de finales de marzo y hasta principios de mayo. Durante el trabajo, habrá momentos de trabajo ruidoso y la carretilla elevadora puede verse alrededor del edificio. Haremos todo lo posible para alertar a los invitados sobre dónde se está realizando el trabajo y sobre cualquier posible impacto en esta unidad. 

Debido al trabajo de construcción en curso, ofreceremos tarifas con descuento durante este tiempo.  Por favor, háganos saber si tiene alguna pregunta y estaremos encantados de ayudarle. apreciamos su comprensión.

Turtle Dunes

We loved this property so much that we are going to book again next year. The views are amazing and it’s the furthest units south, so we felt like we had a private beach. Very clean, organized and just an awesome place.

Home away from home

We loved our stay at Turtle Dunes! 1848 is on the 4th floor and has an expansive view of the beach. You can go to the condo, pool, and beach without using stairs. (The first part of the beach is rocky, so keep your shoes on for a while.) The owners have thought of details to make your stay enjoyable and things you might need. There are two king suites, perfect for us and our grown daughter.

Beautiful view! Peaceful location!

This is a very nice condo within a scenic resort. We arrived to stocked toilet paper, tissues, paper towels, napkins, and trash bags. It was also well stocked with any utensil we needed (with the exception of a can opener). Plenty of bath towels are provided as well. The beds are super comfortable. Overall, we were very pleased with the unit. The beach view is gorgeous! The beach itself is rough with crushed seashells. You have to go up the street for the public swimming beach, which was beautiful. The resort has a lot to offer. We rented bikes and explored a little, but didn’t cover nearly all we wanted to. Spend some time checking it out! If you need anything, Destination Amelia is very responsive and helpful.

A Wonderful Week!

Positive Notes: This is a beautiful property, landscaped perfectly and the inside of the condo and location are fabulous! The balcony is large and perfectly located on the beach and the beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on!!! The condo was located right in front of the elevator which made loading and unloading our luggage very easy! The condo was clean and lovely. Negatives: Minor, but still somewhat aggravating: Neither of the television sets in the bedrooms worked and we had to call maintenance for this problem. Two of the lights had no light bulbs and this was also taken care of. One side of the dining table was not bolted down so if one placed his/her elbows or weight on one side it slid down making eating precarious to say the least. Also, the dining chair cushions need to be cleaned or replaced. There are dirty spots and food stains on them which is not in keeping with the rest of this lovely condo. Additionally, the kitchen appliances quit working and we again called the main office. The repair service asked us to open the fuse box and to trip the breaker which we reluctantly did, and it resolved the problem. Not a big deal, but just aggravating and a little out of line for us to be asked to resolve the problem. All in all, a great experience and great week!!!!!

Very nice unit.

We stay in this area quite often because it is so beautiful and peaceful. With Covid raging, it is easy to stay spread out from others on the wide open beach or during walks/bike rides through the area. The condo itself is lovely and nicely stocked with everything! Beds and furniture super comfortable. Although we brought our own, there were beach towels and chairs provided. Kitchen has been upgraded and very nicely laid out with every possible gadget you could need. Much thanks to Ryan at Destination Amelia for information as well as a sweet treat waiting when we checked in.

Beautiful Beach Setting

Turtle Dunes is a beautiful place to stay at the beach. Great views from the condo, a very short walk to the beach, and the pool is very nice. Unit 1848 had everything we needed for two couples. However, the beds are softer than we prefer. Overall, this is a great place for a beach vacation!

This was our first trip to Amelia Island. The condo was even better than pictured!! The location to parking, beach, and pool were all perfect!! We took our dog and the entire resort was super dog friendly. We enjoyed our visit! Your condo is perfect!!!

Luxury, Resort Style Getaway on a Private Beach

This is our 3rd stay with Destination Amelia and the Omni Amelia Plantation Resort. I'd like to point out that it was also our best. The layout of this condo is phenomenal - 2 super soft king beds with in-suite bathrooms and 2 private balconies made this an amazing time with our family, friends, and kids. My wife and I were able to enjoy the evening without disturbing the kids who were sharing the other King Suite - a nice treat to have some time but not have to be in the dark or worrying about waking them. The pool at Turtle Dunes is spectacular and spacious and the walk to the beach is the easiest of the Condos at Amelia Island Plantation (no stairs required to get over the dunes!)! We also loved being at the Southern end of the property - no traffic whatsoever and the beach belonged to us - during atlanta spring break, no less! We will definitely be back and are already booking this property for 2022! THANK YOU for an amazing time.

Dissapointed

While the location was good and the views were great, the furnishings and kitchen tools were old and tired. All of the kitchen plates and glasses need replacement as does the mattress in the master bedroom. There was no Wifi in the master bedroom and the toilet room was extremely small and had a broken toilet paper roll. Although we paid a cleaning charge, the departure cleaning requirements were extreme. We would not stay here again, not worth the price.

Perfect getaway

Our condo is perfect. Great location right on the beach. Also within Amelia Island plantation so everything is close by. The condo was clean and had all the amenities. We definitely do again

A wonderful last minute getaway

We had a wonderful stay. The condo is nice and comfortable. The view is amazing from each room. The beach is fantastic. We will hopefully make this our go to place next time we need a getaway.

Couldn’t be better!

Great week at the beach. Although the condo is pet friendly, it showed none of the wear or odors we have encountered in other similar units. Everything necessary was there, and in perfect working order. The owners and management clearly go the extra mile.
