Quiet relaxation

This is the second time that we have stayed at this property with our extended family. It is exactly as advertised and easily accomodates larger families. We love that everyrhing we need to relax and enjoy ourselves is included with the property (bikes, kayaks, SUPs, games...) so all we have to donis show up. The location is quiet and scenic amd makes for a perfect get away. Norm is very easy to work with.

The house and entire property were even better than advertised. Extremely clean and set up to easily host families. Everything that you could need for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway was included. Highly recommend staying here.

What a Great Place

There were 16 of us staying and the place was everything we thought it would be and more. It had everything we needed, from entertainment to space to every little utensil in the kitchen. What a fun weekend!

Girls Weekend

The property was fabulous. We had twelve women and the number of bedrooms, the size of the kitchen, the two refrigerators, two dishwashers, two stoves and ovens were out of this world. It was so clean and well taken care of. Can’t say enough good things about the place. Would definitely go back again.

Family New Year 2022

Lovely Thanksgiving Weekend Family Experience

We enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful, well-equipped and inviting facility with four generations of our family. The cottage is so spacious with something for everyone. The kitchen was a dream to work in with everything you could possibly need to host a beautiful weekend. The media room, the games room, the amazing view of the lake - everything was perfect. There was truly something for everyone. The hosts were very helpful and supportive. You couldn't ask for a better location or cottage to enjoy family time together.

Best Cottage for Large Group

Perfect cottage. Everything is thought of by property owner. 8 bedrooms, each has 2 queen beds. Perfect for a large group. Basement rec room area so great for hanging out. Outdoor areas were perfect as well for corn hole and frisbee and hanging out by the water. Kitchen has more than enough of everything. 2 commerical fridges and freezers. 2 ovens. 2 drip coffee machines. Cottage is perfect. Zero complaints. Book it while you can, you wont regret it.

Perfection!

Our group of 8 adults and 4 children had a peaceful and relaxing week at this amazing vacation retreat. The beauty of the lake combined with the stunning home made this a vacation to treasure. The home is abundantly spacious and exceptionally comfortable. The kitchen is a chef’s dream; the boats for the lake were used multiple times every day. The garage is equipped with life vests as well as a variety of bikes, outdoor games, and high chairs. There is plenty of outdoor seating as well as a fire pit. We spent hours on the porch reading, playing games, and enjoying the beauty of the lake. The downstairs game area, exercise room, and theater added to everyone’s enjoyment. The house is decorated beautifully and filled with absolutely everything needed to make our visit comfortable and easy. Although we spent most of our time at the house, the surrounding area has a lot to offer: beautiful parks and fun towns to visit. And, finally, communicating with the owner was fantastic! He always answered promptly and was a great source of information for the surrounding area. Thank you Norm and Julie!

Winsley house has it all! They have thought of everything and made our stay so amazing.

The owners have done an amazing job outfitting their property to easily host large groups or multiple families. The amenities are amazing and we’re enjoyed immensely this past weekend.

Family Holiday

Beautiful cottage on a small quiet lake. This was the second year we stayed at this property. The cottage easily accommodated my parents, my daughter’s family and my siblings (and their families). It is well equipped, beautifully furnished and is very comfortable. Norm is very responsive to any questions. Our family very much enjoyed our stay.

Perfect family vacation

This cottage is perfect for the extended family that wants to get together for a vacation but is still large enough that everyone can "have their own space". Appropriate for all age groups. Something for everyone to do! Our grandchildren had a ball at the waters edge and running and playing on the property in a very safe environment. Movie room was a big hit with them as well. Everything was clean, in good working order and host was very available for any questions we had. Overall had a terrific family holiday!! Hope to repeat again for sure.

Outstanding Vacation home

Our family of 12 (7 adults and 5 children) enjoyed our summer vacation at the "Winsley House' very much. Everyone's expectations were not only met but exceeded. There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. The beach area was great for our 2 & 4 year old and all of the water crafts were used daily by everyone and the theatre was an added bonus. Thank you for providing a clean, wonderful home in a beautiful setting that everyone enjoyed. 5 stars!!!

Great for Family

A very well appointed “ set up” for large groups . It is purpose built . We had three families with little kids and the property worked very well. Toys , boats , everything thought out .. The property would also work for adult groups as well, as long as everyone understands this is a very quiet lake setting.

Amazing stay. Awesome place

Very good place, with all amenities you wish for. The theatre didn’t work at first, but they sent someone and fixed the issue immediately, which was very appreciated. Great stay, great host!

Experience of a lifetime

The property was spectacular. The house was something you see only on TV. The property owners put so many personal touches to the property. It lacked nothing. There was so much to do on the property. Everything in the home was in excellent condition The best part was the home theatre. There are no words to describe the beauty of the view. The property owners were very easy to communicate with. I'm a prairie boy that has been blessed to live and travel around much of the world. I now call Southern Ontario home where I'm a husband, father to 3 wonderful children, and now a grandpa (Pops) to our grand-daughters.

My wife and I discovered Muskoka when our children were young. We really love the region and invested in our first cottage, along with some friends, back in 2012.

I will always try to meet and even go beyond the expectations of your stay. If you have suggestions for me, please let me know!

Some great features I have at this new property are due to the inspirations of other guests that stayed with me and had interesting ideas. So please don't hesitate to let me know your thoughts. Feel free to communicate with me!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This new cottage, "The Winsley", is named after my first grand-daughter. She is also our family's first great- grandchild. We hope that our guest's stays are joyful - in the same way that Winsley inspires that sentiment within our lives.

I'm a big geek in life and many of my interests and habits are reflected throughout this property. We love the Muskoka outdoors but also enjoy the comforts and convenience of modern homes and spaces. We think that this cottage is a unique blend of each.
