The cottage was perfect better in reality than the excellent photos provided on the web. The facilities are complete and the extras provided were generous. The property was extremely clean and so beautifully presented. It has a WOW factor all the time. I was completely surprised and it is such great value for money.

Beautiful weekend away

A great little gem of a place - we enjoyed our stay! Amazing view of the lake and lovely morning sun. Spacious and light. So close to Emerald Beach and easy to find off the highway. Communication with the host was fabulous and extra little touches were noted and appreciated. Thanks for having us :)

Get away location

Better than expected. Spa by the lake exceptional. Very clean and complimentary food and beverages in abundance. Great value for money. Nice retreat to rest and relax. Would recommend to others and book in again.

Great stay

Property and experience were both amazing. The family and I will definitely be back. My toddler loved all the ducks and other birds. My wife and I really enjoyed the peace and view. Thannk you for the great experience.

Fantastic cottage in nature

Such a lovely and relaxing spot. Beautiful gardens and views of the lake out the back. Really puts you in nature. The view is also maximised whist inside with all the windows. This place is very spacious for a one bedder. Large loungeroom, separate dining, huge bathroom, kitchen and bedroom are a good size. We loved the thoughtfulness of the owners. We were thrilled to find eggs, bread and other essentials upon our arrival. For once I packed pantry items that I didn’t need. Plenty of soap and toilet paper provided as well. We really enjoyed the outdoor spa surrounded by the garden. My partner said the little BBQ was also really good. Only downfall was that we found the bed and pillows to be a bit uncomfortable as we didn’t sleep the best. I suppose everyone is different though. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would have loved to have stayed longer!

Terrible Property...Horrible Experience

I don't usually leave reviews, but this place deserves an honest one after our dodgy experience there. Left this property after one night. Condition was very poor...should not have been let out to guests The place was not clean or hygienic and was greatly affected by moisture after recent rain Toilet seat broken and not secure to bowl. My partner almost slipped off it on first use. Big WH&S issue. Owner later told us she knew about it but instead of getting it fixed just kept taking bookings! No warning or notification of this broken basic facility prior to arrival. Previous guests' used towel still in bathroom hamper. Mould in the shower grout Dank smelling bedroom and bed pillow. Resulted in us sleeping on the sofa bed for the night. Couldn't even use the spare blanket and pillows in the wardrobe as they smelt atrocious. Used a ratty thin blue blanket as a sheet on the sofa bed, the lounge blanket, and cushions as pillows for the night as thankfully these did not smell! The sheets on the bed weren't even pressed/ironed...looked as though they had been thrown on straight off the clothesline All hard surfaces had a greasy and sticky layer on them. Feet became dirty just from walking around inside. Kitchen bench not clean, greasy and sticky which we had to clean ourselves. Crockery and cutlery not clean...we had to re-wash before we used anything Food crumbs under the coffee table when we moved it to pull the sofa bed out Thick grime and dead bugs riddled the window sills and door sills Filthy uncovered BBQ located right next to the water tank We weren't at all game enough to try out the spa due to the condition of the rest of the cottage We sought a refund for the accommodation. Owner has since refused resulting in us wasting a lot of money for very sub standard accommodation Reasons for refusal were dubious, including stating that we didn't cancel the booking ourselves on the day even though the owner did not instruct us to. All that was stated to us when we left was a vague instruction to contact Stayz for a refund and she would liaise with them. No timeframe stated to do this nor an instruction to do it ASAP. We notified the owner of the issues and that we were leaving at 925am. Plenty of time for her to sort out a cancelled booking for her own property The owner also completely denied, disregarded, downplayed, and even accused us of fabricating the issues that made us leave the stay early! Don't waste your money on this place

Relaxing home away from home.

Great get away. Private and isolated with a short drive to beaches, restaurants, shops and iconic attractions. September was beautiful for us as the bird life had babies; watching the black swans being graceful from the jetty was amazing. Relaxing sitting outside having your morning coffee and watching the wildlife mosey on by as you start to thinking of your amazing adventures for the day ahead. 10/10 will definitely stay again!

Very tranquil

Beautiful spot. Only downside was noise from the highway at night... but the beautiful location and serenity made up for it. Will definitely stay again!!

Everything we needed for a perfect relaxing holiday

Thank you for providing such a wonderful holiday cottage in a truly wonderful location. Everything was provided & very comfortable. We are so glad that we happened upon such a relaxing, clean, functional holiday home. The lake is very peaceful, the quietness aided our relaxation & the spa helped of course. We will recommend this place to all our friends & if ever up this way again then this will our first choice. Communication with the hosts was excellent & helpful.
