Spring Homestead; Un oasis tropical.

Estamos lo suficientemente lejos de la ciudad para tener la sensación real de Darwin y sus alrededores, pero cerca de todas las comodidades que necesitará. Supermercados, centros comerciales, pubs, restaurantes y una sala de cine están a solo minutos de distancia, pero puedes tomar tu café en la terraza por la mañana viendo wallabies y escuchando kookaburras.
Si eres un turista que visita el extremo superior, estamos justo al lado de la autopista Stuart, camino al Parque Nacional Litchfield y al mundialmente famoso Kakadu. Los cocodrilos saltadores y el parque de vida salvaje del territorio también están cerca.
Para dormir:
Tenemos dos encantadoras habitaciones con aire acondicionado y camas queen size.
En la sala de estar hay un sofá cama doble extraíble muy cómodo.

Great immunities, everything better than described, extremely comfortable bed facilities were great as was Artemis and her husband both were perfect hosts. Thank you for making my stay so comfortable and making me feel at home on your property. I really enjoyed my stay and the peacefulness of the native wildlife and the chickens and of course magic your very friendly mischievous pooch. Had a visit from this beautiful green tree frog nightly during my stay. I was thoroughly pleased with my choice of b&b this was the perfect place for me to spend time enjoying my grandchildren who were made to feel very welcome and loved the chickens, quail ducks and geese on your property.

Typical N.T rustic home with clean simple furnishings and a great deck area. Pleasant tropical gardens and birdlife. The pool was great, too cool off in after a day's exploring and Artemis was a great host making sure our stay was comfortable.

Darwin city and nature

Great place to stay if you want to explore wildlife around Darwin. Hosts very accommodating. Deck area was a lovely place to start and end the day with coffee or a drink.

It was a great place to stay. Main shopping center only 10 minutes away. The actual place was clean and tidy. There was a cloths rack to hang washing but no clothesline. Some minor maintenance is needed (eg. update the floor in kitchen/dining area) but thtis wasn't a major problem. Over all a great place to stay and will happily stay again.

Excellent stay

Really enjoyed our weeks stay here. Lovely and relaxing and we enjoyed our bbqs on the patio watching the geese ducks and chickens. Accommodation was very spacious and provided a separate room for sleeping and bathroom. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and more. A country feel but close enough for us to make a couple of day trips to enjoy Darwin.

Howard Springs

We were there for a week. I was excited to be out of the city for our stay. When we arrived it was not what we expected. 2 separate dwellings, one was bedrooms and bathroom and the other was kitchen, dining, lounge with a covered in verandah. The owners property is not far away. Was very disappointed with the pool. We presummed we had access to it, but the owners run a swim school from it most days and you dont always have access. We had some cockroaches in the cupboards and drawers and tiny ants on the benches and window sills. The pictures did not give you the proper idea of what the property was. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Birders: THE best place to stay near Darwin

What a wonderful place, and host family. (Artemis is the Mom and host.) We had two separate "cabins" - one that served as our sleeping area (with attached bathroom) and the other with kitchen/living room/TV...both had superb air con (and hot water A+). What a wonderful deal - book this place well ahead because it is worth it ESPECIALLY is planning on going to Fogg Dam for birds/wildlife (about a 30 minute drive otherwise at least an hour from Darwin city area). This accommodation is remote but a great shopping center 10-15min by car, and a wonderful Thai take out place about 5 min by car. We had great privacy - and learned much about the history of the area (Artemis grew up here). If possible visit her parents near Fogg Dam (they have Rainbow Pittas on their farm (a flower/fruit farm). Nearby Howard Springs Nature Park has Rainbow Pittas...but Fogg Dam was the best place to be. Barking Owl near the restaurant in the Botanical Gardens (calling during day); occasionally Rufous Owl and Southern Boobook seen on this property. Overall for value, ease of access, privacy - and kindness of host, this was one of our best stays in our two months traveling Queensland, NT and Sydney. Really great value - ignore negative comments - this place is worth it (we stayed 8 days). Check bird guide books for other local places to find birds...Darwin is worth at least one week...We were here in mid-July 2024 and had a great time. Thank You!

Für Vogelgucker mit etwas Abenteuerlust die perfekte Unterkunft. 30 Arten sind bequem vom Liegestuhl aus zu bestimmen - und wer sich nach Einbruch der Dämmerung einen kleinen Spaziergang zutraut, sieht vielleicht Baumfrösche, die Braune Baumschlange, etliche interessante Spinnen und, sensationell, fliegende Eulenschwalme (Tawny Frog Mouth) auf dem Grundstück. Wir haben sogar eine Langschwanz-Nachtschwalbe (Large-tailed Nightjar) gehört. Ja, die Unterkunft ist sehr einfach, aber es ist alles da, um es auch für ein paar mehr Tage gut auszuhalten. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auf jeden Fall, und wenn man die inkludierten Naturerlebnisse mag, ist es eigentlich ein Schnäppchen. Vielen Dank an Artemis & ihre Familie, die uns auch noch eine kleine Python zeigten, die im Garten lebt. Insgesamt ein tolles Naturerlebnis, Howards Springs Reserve und Fogg Dam "um die Ecke" - aber auch Darwin schnell erreichbar. Würden wir wieder so buchen.

Firstly the hosts are absolutely lovely, secondly the pool is a life saver in the heat.

We loved our stay. The hosts are lovely, the tropical garden divine, the pool a life saver and the price was fair. All was as described. I definitely plan to return. Big thank you from both of us 😊😁

Different. Not quite what we expected but acceptable. The property description was vague but in the end we were comfortable. We are the sought of people that don't need to be in a flash CBD unit/hotel. For what we paid it was ideal.

Tropical oasis

What a great property and wonderful host. Loved that nothing was a bother and the quiet location meant the best sleep we both had in ages. Would not hesitate to revisit and highly recommend. The animals, the quiet and the huge bedrooms were fantastic.

A taste of the real territory

Just perfect for a self contained stay, in Darwin. Rural location, but all amenities close by. Easy drive to city attractions. The most beautiful property and the chickens, ducks etc are a great bonus. Property very well equipped. The host Artemis is so welcoming and super informative of all the property has to offer. Will definitely stay again Jo Hancock

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience staying here location was perfect for us as we didn’t mind not being in the hustle and bustle clean property air cons were amazing and some beautiful scenery to have a morning coffee over.
