Fantastic ski base for the entire family

First time at Winterpark skiing and this home did not disappoint. All the logistical aspects were seamless and management company responded immediately when had issues getting the door lock to work (there's a trick). Very clean and everything one needs for a vacation. Note that the walk up to the ski trail is some effort but even our 9 year old did it. Just leave your skis up at top if you come back for lunch. We didn't figure out the bus schedule but really didn't need it. Hot tub isn't that large (4 person - but really 3 adults max) but is right outside door so you keep warm. Definitely recommend the home and Mgmt firm.

Awesome house

This house was amazing. It had more than enough space, beds, bathrooms, seating, etc. It was beautiful and clean and perfect for hanging out in the living room or kitchen/dining room. Great looking kitchen and appliances and stocked cabinets of all the dishware and cookware you'd need. Probably the only 2 negatives would be that the hot tub was a little small, but that was fine...it was still a great hot tub and even had party lights! And the other was that the ski in/out is more like hike in/out to the trail - the 'walking path' as described is a trail through the woods which is covered in snow and ice. It's not a bad hike or too long but it's not an easy walk down a shoveled, paved path as I had pictured. But we were ok with doing that. It's a quick and easy 15 minute walk to the Winter Park village so you can pretty much leave your car parked most of the time while there unless you're doing grocery shopping or going to the town of Winter Park (but there is also a free shuttle for that). I would definitely stay here again and hope to do that sometime soon and will share the Winter Park Lodging info with any of my friends that ask - I know a lot of people that do ski trips and many have already asked about the info because they saw the pics we posted of the house and want to stay there too.

Great property

Overall fantastic. Great property. Clean and well maintained. The door lock/code system was a little clunky at first but we eventually got the hang of it. Really great experience.

Base Camp 494 Fall Ski Camp

The staff at Winter Park Lodging Company goes above & beyond. We have always been treated like family by them. They are in constant contact to make sure everything is going well at the house & that everyone traveled safely. Their response time to questions is extremely timely. Really nice townhome which was perfectly sized for 2 families of four. (You can sleep more). Special bonus: everything worked (hot tub, BBQ grill, wifi, etc)!

Best WP Ski Vacation EVER!

Our family has been coming to Winter Park for Christmas since 1994 and this year's vacation was the absolute best ever. We have twice previously rented at Base Camp but this year's stay at BC494 was truly memorable. The property was immaculate. The kitchen was fully outfitted and all of the appliances worked (...you know what I mean). Upon arrival there was complementary wine and a charcuterie plate. The hot tub/spa was sparkling and fully sanitized...the grandchildren loved splashing after ski lessons. WPLC provided extra cool mist vaporizers to accommodate our family. On Day #3 they delivered a colorful Christmas tree with lights and ornaments. WPLC follows all CDC guidelines regarding disinfection and social distancing - they thoughtfully asked us to be out of the house when they decorated the tree. There were routine check-in text messages from WPLC staff to inquire about any concerns (none!) We rarely used our car except for grocery runs. The frequent WP free shuttles took us everywhere. In summary, BC494 was an extraordinary venue and an extraordinary value for a family of 10. You will not be disappointed with any of the Base Camp properties and you will be delighted with WPLC's professional and caring support of its renters. Happy New Year to all!

This unit needs some serious updating. The carpet is very old and matted. The bunk beds are very uncomfortable. The tea kettle in the kitchen does not work and two people burned their hands using it. The parking is a hassle . I won't stay there again

Winterpark ski weekend

The condo is amazing. Spacious and beautiful. The management were in constant communication and super helpful. The walk to the trail is a bit tough but so much better than getting in a car. Coming home easy. Can’t say enough good things about the home and location.

Great family getaway

We gathered with our extended family for a week-long getaway. We were extremely comfortable with 5 kids (18 months - 6 yrs old) and 4 adults. The property was exceptionally nice for this age range because of the surrounding creeks & rivers that provided quick access to fun short hikes and exploring. We loved the ability to explore without having to pack up the entire family in the car and go somewhere. Quick drives to Grand Lake & Rocky Mountain National Park added to a great overall experience.

Very Nice Property

The Basecamp 494 property is a nice and updated place with plenty of space for people to be together in the kitchen, dining table and living room. The description on accessing the ski run is a bit misleading: "walk the short path to the Corridor ski trail". The access is really via a slight uphill walk past another townhouse and then a windy footpath in the woods to a set of stairs with about 100 steps up. This is not the end of the world, but also not a walk in the park with ski boots on and carrying skis/poles. My stay did encounter a maintenance problem and Winter Park Lodging Company was very proactive on trying to resolve it and helping my group with alternatives.

Fantastic time for a group of 13

The unit more than met our expectations for a group of nine adults and four children. The open kitchen/dining room was fantastic with a table that truly can seat a large group. We had young children with us and they could sleep soundly while the adults stayed up in the living room. Everything was as billed with more than enough bedding and towels for the hot tub. Additionally, we came during a large snowstorm and the plows are quick and came repeatedly during the day. Of note, there is a shuttle bus to bring you to the resort but the walk to the pick up location is a little far for young children in ski boots. Very doable for adults. Since we had a few non-skiers in the group, we used our own cars to shuttle us to the resort and avoid the walk. The management team was attentive and alerted us the day before that early check-in was available. Additionally, they called to check in before leaving for the day to ensure that we had everything we needed on our first night. Definitely consider this property for large group gatherings, you will not be disappointed!

Base Camp 494 was great..

Base Camp 494 was great... just a few things... Master bedroom mattress was terrible. Main living room tv (had to call twice to get it to work properly). But, someone came out right away... which is a plus :). MANAGER COMMENTS: Got it. We will get working on upgrading the Master mattress. So sorry you were uncomfortable. We are always happy to head over and get things working as they should. Thank you very much for giving a call to let us know.

Great Place to Ski from!

Our family stayed here for the Christmas/New Year holiday and had a wonderful time. Very beautiful and clean. We walked a short distance every day to the Corridor trail to ski down to the new Gondola lift. We came back down the Corridor trail from Mary Jane side to get back. Green bus route stops by the ski shop at the bottom of the hill, and will take you to town if you don't want to drive. Attached garage is nice. MANAGER COMMENTS: We thank you for sharing your stay with us. So pleased that the Base Camp location was a good fit for your group. I love that neighborhood up there in the woods! Great for multiple families & convenient location

The property management company was so easy and convenient to deal with. They were flexible on early arrival/departure and helpful throughout. The home was cozy, great layout for more than 1 family. Great Stay and Experience

We had a great stay at Base Camp 494. We will definitely be back to utilize the condo in the future. It worked perfectly for an extended family vacation with young children. We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining table for cards and games. A great place for a weekend getaway! MANAGER'S COMMENTS...
