Best location

For the amount of time we were in Buda this was a great place. Conveniently located and a few minutes from downtown Buda. I can’t give it 5 stars because it’s not as advertised “like new home”.

Perfect House In Buda

This home was the perfect place for our stay in Buda while our dad was in the hospital in Austin. Very clean, perfectly stocked, and owners were amazing to work with! Highly recommend!

Beautiful house!

The house is amazing, the pictures do no justice to the way the house looks. Plenty of room for everyone and in a super quiet neighborhood. Downtown buda has some great food right around the corner from you.

Buda, pronounced Byooda as we learned from a local at the Farmer's Market, is a cute little town! Lots of food choices, cute little shops and only 15 minutes to downtown Austin. John the host was wonderful! The quiet of the location and the convenience of the city made this a perfect house.

Beautiful Home Close to Activities

Beautiful and tastefully decorated large house. Well manicured front and fenced in backyard. Owners were attentive and swift with communication. House had everything needed. Located in a quiet neighborhood close to Kyle, South Austin and Buda. Would rent again.

Exceeded our expectations

We were a group of three people, visiting Buda for a few days. The house we rented and its owners exceeded our expectations. The house was in an excellent condition, big, clean, beautifully furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen and a nice patio. Each of us had a separate bedroom, which were very comfortable. The hosts were uniquely hospitable, visited us upon our arrival and provided lots of helpful information. They even had a bottle of wine for us and some other treats. The property is in a great location, very quiet, but close to downtown Buda and not far from Austin (about twenty minutes drive). A nice community swimming pool is within 15 minutes walk (or a few minutes by car). We would definitely stay there again.

Winter in Texas

My wife and I from Minnesota, stayed the Winter of 2025 in Buda for 10 weeks from the middle of January to the end of March to be near our daughter and family. John & Janice were the epitome of the perfect hosts, giving us the privacy we desired but addressing any questions or problems we had as communicated through the VRBO App. From the moment we arrived, John met us to make sure we knew where to find everything and if we had any questions. The house was nicely equipped and bigger than the pictures show. It was clean and well stocked too. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us! The kitchen had lots of cookware, utensils, dishes and had almost every small appliance anyone would want. There were plenty of towels and washcloths in both bathrooms and lots of extra linens for the four bedrooms in the house! John & Janice are good people and did their best to make us feel welcome. If you're looking for a nice place to stay with GREAT hosts, please give John & Janice a try...we are SO glad we did!

Comfortable, thoughtfully and well appointed home

Great hosts - the home was well stocked with kitchen goods, paper goods, extra blankets and towels. We enjoyed the quiet, family friendly, walkable neighborhood - it's an easy .6 mile walk to a nice neighborhood play structure and pool (we stayed in Nov., didn't swim). Neighborhood connects via path to another neighborhood so this is a great choice if you like to walk as I do! I was particularly pleased to have room darkening (and in one room, blackout!) curtains. Beds were very comfortable. Nightlights and luggage stands provided. Spacious kitchen with just about everything you need to make a meal - food processor, pans, bakeware, and full sized washer and dryer. A nice stash of kitchen essentials and plenty of coffee! Hosts were even kind enough to leave a bottle of wine and some cold drinks. We would definitely stay again.

Spacious

The owner will meet you at the door when you arrive and explain the property. The positives: There's plenty of space for larger groups. Kids toys, high chair, stroller, playpen and more on property. Coffee maker with coffee, fully stocked with plates, pans, utensils, even some extra drinks in the fridge, plenty of paper towels and trash bags. Nice house overall. Access the really nice community pool, plenty of parking. Quiet neighborhood. The negatives: Felt it could be cleaner, found pet hair on items and couch (we did not bring a pet). Beds other than the master felt small. Curtains very sheer especially in master. The dining table is glass and not attached, our kids leaned on it to eat and almost broke it twice. We've stayed at several VRBO houses and overall was a great place to stay, would stay again if we find ourselves in the area in the future :)

Very nice experience

The house is really great! We thought the property had everything we needed and then some. First of all, John was great about reaching out ahead of our stay with instructions and offering to meet us at the property to walk us through the features and nuances. We were in the Austin area for the US Grand Prix and ended up not arriving to the house until later in the evening. Even still John was super accommodating and took the time to fill us in on lots of options for food and entertainment in the local area. Speaking of the local area Buda is a really nice suburb and the house itself is located close to many food options and within a very nice neighborhood. Overall I can't recommend this place enough, we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book with John and Janice again in the future. Thanks!

Perfect Accommodation

We were warmly greeted by John who met us upon arrival, took us through the home to show us where to find needed items and how to operate equipment. The house was spotless, has tile floors throughout which was a blessing since our dogs came with us. The back yard is fenced and perfect for letting the dogs out for quick relief. We enjoyed walking them in leashes around a very safe neighborhood. Less than 2 miles away there is a lovely dog park where they enjoyed running free. Beds were comfortable and house is beautifully equipped with what you may need for your stay. Couldn’t have asked for better. We will definitely return is we are back in the area.

Perfect for Families

We were in town for my sister’s wedding at Chapel Dulcinea. The house was the perfect location and layout for my family. The house is beautiful, clean and very well furnished. The owners were great communicators. Even insisting on giving us a tour of the house and making sure we had everything we needed. They were incredibly helpful with some complications that came up during our travel. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Home away from home

We spent 2 weeks at this property and it felt like home. The hosts were great at communication and gave us good insight into the area. The home was spacious for our 6 member family, the neighborhood was peaceful, the swimming pool was great, and the location was perfect for our needs. Many thanks to the hosts for a great stay in Buda. Definitely recommend!

Perfect location for Austin

Very comfortable. Perfect for a family stay. They even provide extras for the kids. We didn't need any of that but maybe in the future? Neighborhood is friendly and felt safe. I could be wrong but it feels like the owners clean the house themselves. It could use a deep cleaning by professionals.

Very Quiet, Well-Stocked home

My husband, my 3 year old, and I stayed over a weekend while visiting friends that live in nearby Menchaca. The house was clean and quiet, with plenty of comfortable beds. My daughter loved the bunk beds and the toys that were there for her to play with. The owners even strategically put some non-child-friendly things away before our arrival. Owners are responsive and very friendly.

Comfortable Stay

We found the house to be well equipped for meal preparation; a very comfortable bed; and DVR set up for the TV. These items were important for us since we had a longer stay. The location is also easy access to highways, stores and restaurants. Owners were very responsive
