Great location and views

Stay overall was great. Had a minor issue getting into the unit as the code was not functioning properly but the management company responded pretty quickly and were able to get in after a few minutes. Would definitely return next year.

Great weekend during the Seafood Festival

The condo was as represented, well appointed and very clean. Feels bigger than it looks in the pictures. We liked the separate balcony off the Master. We had no real issues and we enjoyed the surrounding restaurants and walking around the complex seeing the sights.

Nice condo. Very relaxing and great beds . Kitchen is lacking good pans and knives. Bbq pit is dangerous..do not touch control knobs after starting with bare fingers. burn hazard.

Never again

This started off terrible! We get to the Condo and door code that we were given was not correct. We finally get inside, the unit itself was terrible and the toilet in the Master bathroom would not flush. Called the rental agency and they said they would be sending maintenance which did not show until the next day. Later on that day we decided to check out the surroundings ie: pool, lazy river and beach. Well to get to the pool and lazy river you needed a phob. We did not receive a phob... I called and was told they would look into it. I also asked them where the beach access was. The young man put me on hold and came back to tell me that the nearest beach is 4.9 miles down the road. That is NOT beach access. We did not receive a phob that day either. I called again the next morning about the phob. This time the person on the line informed me that the property manager was unable to get the phob from the property owner. I won't say our vacation was ruined, however we picked this Condo because of the amenities which we did not have access too. I would not recommend staying here to anyone.

Location Location Location

This space was perfect for my family of 8. Plenty of beds to accommodate everyone & Kitchen spacious for cooking breakfast. The location was perfect for the cheer competition at The Wharf. Things to improve: bedding is too soft & definitely NOT enough pillows (too flat); master bedroom needs a stepstool to be able to get into the bed; furniture is dated and needs to be professionally cleaned as it’s stained a good bit. Glass table gets dirty easily and I didn’t think of bringing glass cleaner with me. Overall a great spot for functions going on at The Whatf! Will be back!

Enjoyed the stay. The condo was clean and a lot bigger than pics made it appear. The beds were comfy. There are some minor repairs the owners need to address in the showers and ice maker is broken. I turned it off. Love you app with all of the info! Carol Sharpe

Fabulous corner condo with great view of marina!

We truly enjoyed ourselves here, the condo is amazing, very spacious, corner unit with a perfect view of the gorgeous boats at the marina. Very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen , and dual balconies. I've read a couple of reviews complaining of having to pick up the amenity key before checking in, not sure what the big deal is, the office is 10 minutes away. We picked up our packet after hours, no trouble at all. The Oasis was great, a little on the quiet side, but everyone enjoyed themselves. Nightlife for adults, plenty of things to do for teenagers who don't want to hang out with the old people. Great spot. Would definitely visit again and hope to stay in this same unit, very pleased.

Great Location

Overall we are very happy with our stay. The location is great, especially because the reason for our visit was to attend an event at the wharf amphitheater. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Beaches were about a 15 min drive. Upon arrival we were unable to gain access to the unit due to the door code not working. We called customer service and they had to go through a couple different codes, but eventually were able to gain access. The unit was clean and spacious. Unit was clean with the exception of the floor Tile grout . There were very few items in the condo, so you definitely have to go to the store for almost everything such as shampoo, salt/pepper, beach towels. There was one hairdryer in the whole unit. With 6 girls it definitely would’ve been nice to have 1 per bathroom. The pool area is about 1/2 mile down the road which wasn’t horrible. When we went the Oasis grill at the pool was not open, so we were able to bring our own food and drinks in. We did call another day to find out the hours for the pool and grill and were told the wrong times. We arrived and the grill was already closed. Was disappointed that there was no hot tub as advertised. When we asked one of the workers at the pool he stated they do not have a hot tub. They only have a small heated pool which was around 90 degrees. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Concert/reunion

Upon arrival, the door code would not work. After waiting 15 minutes, someone text us back and gave us another code….it did not work either! Finally, someone called us. She gave us two more codes….finally the second one got us in our rental! The next day, the rest of our group came….the “new” door code would not let them in!!!! After another extended time on the phone….we were given several codes to try before getting one to work???!!! Very frustrating!!!! The floors in the bathrooms were awful…. They were terribly dirty. There was no trash bag in the kitchen can. We had to go buy some. And the ice machine was not working. It’s a beautiful condo…we did enjoy our stay but the door code problem really needs to be addressed!

Great location, horrible service.

The unit itself was beautiful with a great view. The trip was made almost unbearable due to the horrible service by Southern Resorts. They never sent us a code to the unit, took hours after we arrived to figure it out. Then there is a second code for an elevator that we also didn’t get and took forever to obtain. Every text we sent through VRBO was an unhelpful automated reply. Never got a reply from a human. When we tried calling, we were on hold forever. The unit itself lacked many basic essentials, toiletries we’re missing, no extra toilet paper. There were also no parking passes or instructions left for the property. Also had a broken outlet cover in bunk bed room. Southern Resorts didn’t fix any of it. Southern Resorts and or the owner was also very inflexible with check in and check out times. While this is certainly their prerogative, it was super inconvenient traveling with a family. 4PM check in 9AM check out, period. Renter beware!

Do not rent from this rental company

We stay at the Wharf frequently. By far Southern Vacation Rentals has been the worst management company we have dealt with and will not rent from them again. Booking our stay and extending it one night was easy and efficient; however, after our arrival, everything went down hill. Upon arrival, the door code did not work (as stated in an earlier review). We had to call and the agent changed the code three times before it actually worked for us the enter the unit. Once in the unit, the rooms seemed clean but the ice makers and grills are "broken." Code for housekeeping does not or want to clean ,at least the icemaker. There is also a separate ice machine that doesn't work. Since we have stayed several times, we know that you must have parking passes for your vehicles or you'll be towed. No parking passes on the counters. Another phone call had to be made. This agent told us to look under bed for a plastic container. Found it; no parking passes. Look in the drawers; nope. Basically, we were sent on a scavenger hunt and it took two days to find them in an envelop above the microwave. We requested that someone just drop them off since we couldn't find them. No one ever showed. The internet also started going out. We reset the modem ourselves but the range did not extend to the front bedrooms which have smart TVs. We couldn't connect them. Also asked for help with that which also never came. We seemed to be in daily contact with Southern Vacation Rentals and still didn't get things resolved. No one should have to communicate that much on vacation. Finally check out is at 9am. Yes, 9am. After checking out about 8:45am on Thursday 7/14, we left the condo according to the instructions we were left. On Friday at 3:32pm, I received an email that I had already been billed for a lamp that I didn't break. A picture was sent to me of the living room lamp cracked in half over 24 hours AFTER we had left the unit and I had walked through it upon leaving. After talking to them on the phone AGAIN, they were not helpful and the charges are sticking. We are not dishonest people and would own any damage that we had done; I regret not taking exit pics. Please read the previous reviews. It isn't a situation where we are difficult renters; all of my reviews are positive and leave praise for hosts/management companies. You can see it's a pattern and I hope the owners see these reviews. Very disappointing and expensive trip.

Great family vacation spot

The condo was beautiful and mostly everything was great but we were disappointed to find out once we got there that the bbq pit wasn’t working correctly. It needs to be replaced or replaced from the property because it’s a safety hazard with the flames shooting out the front of it.

Not pleasant

This is the second time staying in this condo. We when walked in there was no ac. The air conditioning didn’t get fixed until 11pm that night with the room getting up to almost 85 degrees. That would have been fine if that was all. The floor is extremely dirty. If walking bare foot you will have black feet. The grill is a bad health and fire hazard. If turned on the flames come out the front of the grill instead of where food gets cooked. My brother got a sever burn on his hand from this. We reported this problem the year before and it has yet to be fixed. Also two of the 2 toilets didn’t not work properly. Both take hours to fill up and one the flushing knob was broken. There were no curtains to block the setting sun so even when the ac did get fixed it still got very warm in the condo. The ice machine has never worked in the condo. We will never stay in this condo again.

It was so great

We loved staying here the condo was beautiful, well stocked and plenty of room for everybody. The only negative I had was the floors were not clean our feet turned black when we walked on the floor and the showers needed a good deep clean. But other then that we could not have been happier. The property was great and we loved the pool. We are already talking about coming back next year!!!

Warf Condo

The condo was beautiful and very spacious. We do not ave any complaints about it other than the mattresses were lumpy. Shopping and activities at The Warf was fun. The pool is a long way from the Condo. While a trolly runs, the wait time was a problem. I had asked the booking agent how far away the pool is from the condos and she said about a football field. It is much farther than that. The pool area is great. We enjoyed the lazy river and the wave pool. However, the trolly does not run until after it opens and stops running at least an hour before closing. You can drive to the pool but, again, the parking is a long way from the condo. You park in the parking deck across the street. Seems the trolly should keep the same hours as the pool. Also, be aware there are no lifeguards. Same problem with the snack bar. Outside food and drink is not allowed but the snack bar closes a couple of hours before the pool does. So, if you stay until closing you must walk back to the condo and you are unable to get drinks or snacks for the kids. We also had issues the the staff being inconsistent. On the first day we walked to the pool area and the kids carried their boogie boards. They played with them while we were there. The next day we rode the tram and once we got there we were told they could not take them inside. Also, be reminded this area is a good way from the beach. At least a 15 minute drive. While the condo is beautiful and spacious we will sacrifice space next trip to stay closer to the beach and amenities.

BEAUTIFUL CONDO, GREAT LOCATION, POOL WAS THE BEST

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful condo. The Wharf is a great location for families with kids of all ages. The fireworks were the best we've ever seen! The pool was our favorite spot and we loved it just as much if not more than the beach! This place has it all!
