Broken appliances, sewage gas leak but lovely house

The house is gorgeous- there’s no doubt about that. The views are spectacular. It was dusty and windows dirty and we were expected to clean the place before leaving so doesn’t feel like a restful “hotel” experience. Much of the stay was dedicated to chasing up the property manager and organising and showing around trades. Not the relaxing beachside holiday vibe at all. The spa and oven both didn’t work. The spa was fixed after several phone calls and an electrician sent out. The oven was never attended to. There was an offensive smell which a plumber had to attend to - yep more time spent waiting around and coordinating trades. He suggested it was sewage gas. The property manager promised a refund and upon chasing them up, silence. I also saw other reviews saying this so obviously a track record of fake promises.

Great Ocean Road Realestate Property manager lied and did not fix property issues

There's no doubt the property was beautiful inside out and the location and view was superb. The only thing that spoiled the experience for us was the way the property manager Great Ocean Road Realestate handled the issues we had with the property whilst on our stay. We spoke Elizabeth, gave her constructive criticisms about the property, however instead of fixing the issues, she offered a compensation for things that did not work but we've never seen any of it. She gave us an email to write to regarding our issues, we wrote to her email twice and no replies. Here are the issues with the property that was never resolved for us: 1. Spa water temperature was only slightly warm and went cold very quickly after we lift up the cover. The water was no where near 36 degrees as claimed. 2. There was not enough hot water for showers only 2-3 people can shower at the one time, the others have to wait 3. Coffee machine in the kitchen was mouldy, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for ages. 4. Ignition on the right gas kitchen stove did not work. The lighter was out of gas so we had to purchase a new lighter to use 5. induction stoves worked the first 3 days, last 2 days not working 6. The tradie that came to fix the gas stove on the second day left black dust everywhere in the kitchen, we had to clean this up 7. baking dishes in the cupboards were oily and dirty, we had to clean it prior to using We wanted to give contructive comments, but Elizabeth was the one that offered compensation. Perhaps she did this so that we would not give a bad feedback at the time. We don't appreciate being ignored and lied to. We hope you respect others a bit more in the future.

Good but could be amazing

The house is massive, excellent location, staff are easy to deal with, was clean, the spa/pool is amazing, good bbq, I mean overall it was worth the price tag. Apart from one major thing and two minor things. 1) The major issue is the beds. 4 massive bedrooms have 1 queen in the master and 3 doubles. That is just silly. 2 adults in a double bed is very uncomfortable. And the price tag of the property is very high, there really is no excuse to have such a lovely house and amazing furniture otherwise with such tiny beds. They need to put in 2 or 3 king beds in. 2) Minor issue is the lack of wi-fi. Normally wouldn't bother me but we had international guests which made it hard. 3) Minor issue - I did feel like a few safety issues could be improved. Not saying it was unsafe, but: - the doors to the pool were not self closing - the curtain blind cords were not fixed to the wall - the lights in the floor got very hot If you don't have a kid you probably wouldn't even notice these, but we had a toddler so just had to be extra careful lookout. Apart from these things, the house is unique and really great. An upgrade in the beds and I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Azure is just amazing, its comfy, relaxed. All the amenities are top class. The view from the balcony and main bedroom is to die for. Will defiantly recommend and return in the future.

What a brilliant spot! with the best of Lorne on your doorstep. We enjoyed not only the house but the access to the beach and cafes. The team were so easy to deal with and made our stay with them a pleasure

Seriously great weekend at Azure. The photos online make it look a bit cold but it is anything but. Once we all arrived and spread out it was super homely and pretty much breathtaking at every turn. Spa took a while to warm up but apart from that, awesome stay!

Unbelievable place, breathtaking views, accommodation amazing, easy stroll to beach and shops, would recommend to anyone. We were there February this year and will book again for our annual girls weekend away. 5 star rating!!
