Charming, great location, easy holiday

The cottage is very charming which exceeded my expectations. It has some really beautiful heritage features. We had a great time. The location was fantastic. We wanted to be close to town as we had our 5 month old baby and our dog so it was important to be able to come and go easily. No regrets booking here. Our first holiday with our baby and the accomodation was close to perfect for it. The front 2 bedrooms are very close to each other which made things easy. Some constructive feedback: - recommend cleaning behind the bed in the second bedroom as there was a lot of thick dust there - recommend upgrading the floor bathroom mats as they were old and thin and didnt absorb much - the toilet brush needs replacing - confirmed we were bringing our dog and on the fridge it says strictly no pets and it was confusing as to whether or not they wanted us to put bins out on the Saturday when we checked out based on the instructions provided What we loved - beautiful cottage - nice and warm - gorgeous little garden - great outdoor table with shade umbrella - check in process was smooth and easy - one of the cleanest places we have stayed that allows dogs - low bath was great for baby bath time - great location - beds are comfy, clean and nicely presented Its very beautiful. Thank you for hosting us.

Regional charm

Great little property full of natural light and charm, particularly enjoyed the peaceful front porch. Only a short walk to the main beach, even our 4yr old could handle it. Plenty of free parking outside the property although in December this is limited to 2hrs, we managed to fit 2 cars on the drive no issue.

What a peaceful, relaxing stay in this cute cottage. Plenty of room and a cosy open fire. Awesome position and view from the lovely verandah. Will definitely stay again

Old style beach house with modern touches

Staying at Clissold St bought back memories of childhood beach holidays in the 1970s. Wooden floors, mats, bunk beds, wood heater and 2 minutes from the water and 1 minute from the shops. But, warm, with extra heating when needed, the best and biggest hot water system ever, good stove, big frig, clean BBQ, lovely outdoor area and possibly the best sunroom in Lorne. A testament to the owners who have really put some thought in to making Sur La Mer a delightful place to stay

Fantastic location. Great little house with character

Amazing location. Only a 5 minute walk to the main street of Lorne. Nicely appointed house that sleeps 6 in comfortable beds. House could do with a dishwasher and either a set of drawers or hooks for clothes in the main bedroom. Parking only for one car…beware the Saturday morning parking inspector. Great spot to sit out on the front verandah or in the sun room. In the morning.

Loved everything about it

Loved that this property is an original old Lorne home with all the character and homeliness. Yet, has all the convenience of a modern home. Beautifully laid out. Couldn't get better for the dogs as well. We will, for sure, use this house for our family again. Thank you!

The Best Beach House

My husband, two kids And I stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! The house is super cosy, Very well appointed, perfectly located and Super clean! We want to move in permanently! Can we just buy it??

Great little house

We enjoyed our stay in this house. The property is very close to the shops, was very tidy and for this reason we would return. If we had to give any negative feedback, it would be that there is a lack of off street parking but that was not a great deal.

Nice and comfortable little cottage

Nice cottage, well located, 10mn walk from main cafes and shops. Beds are very comfortable and we liked the opening from the bedrooms to the living area. Cute garden at the front. Unfortunately very noisy neighbours at the back who partied both nights during the week end.

Great location and comfortable

Thankyou for a very comfortable and relaxing holiday. The beds are so comfy and everything we needed was provided and to a pleasantly satisfying standard/quality. We loved how the bedrooms can open up to the main rooms - so light and bright. We also loved being close to everything and not having to drive. Hopefully our next stay is longer than a week - we really were settled in :)
