Like being welcomed home

As multi generational Floridians the McRobinstone Lake House was like an avairy ( osprey, sandhill cranes ducks, Ibis, song birds, woodpeckers, water turkeys) and a small aligator. With the water front and Spanish moss, cypress it reminded us of our youth in Florida.We were thankful and blessed to share the time together.

Annual family Christmas vacation

Everyone enjoyed being together at the property. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool despite the cold water, tough kids. Fishing off the dock was enjoyed by all. Hide and seek with parameters in place was fun to watch and help count. Overall it was very nice...19 up!

Awesome stay on Lake Pierce

Jan’s lakehouse was fantastic. Our group was there to fish a tournament on a nearby lake and this place fit our needs perfectly. Jan was very responsive when needed and easy to work with. This will be our go to spot when visiting the area.

Fishing Getaway

We stayed at this property while our sons fished the Bobby Lane Tournament at Camp Mack and it was great! It was only about 15-20 minutes from the ramp, there were plenty of beds and ample parking. The host is extremely responsive, helpful, and easy going. We were easily able to add/remove the guest house based on our changing plans. Upon arrival we found tons of fun activities for the kids which was awesome. The view is beautiful as well. We would definitely stay here again should the need arise.

Relaxing

Beautiful Family Lake Getaway

The home was cozy and the view was stunning. We never left the property all weekend. The pool was a hit with the fam. It had it all. You could tell it has hosted years of loving family lake weekends and it was a blessing to join in and make lifelong memories.

The Best of Old Florida

Florida the way it was meant to be! Perfect place for a family gathering or couples get-away. Right on top of Lake Pierce, with a dock and plenty of porch chairs for enjoying the morning coffee or evening wine. Extremely nice, private swimming pool, including a tiki hut/bar area, plenty of loungers, and nice shaded areas around the pool as well. Large family room and well-stocked kitchen.

Looking forward to the next time

We were a larger group so rented both the main and the guest house. This is our second time at the property. The plan was to go see what the area has to offer but we ended up not leaving the house for the duration of our stay - there is both so much to do and so relaxing at the same time.

Beautiful quiet getaway

This was a wonderful home. Very clean, well stocked with everything you need, comfortable beds, lovely pool, beautiful lawn with a fire pit and long dock. We absolutely loved this place. It was so quiet and private, surrounded by vegetation and canals. We didn't have any kids with us but there were a ton of activities, games and toys to keep the children occupied. We will be coming back soon! Thank you!!!

Spectacular view! Very comfortable and clean house!

We searched for a vacation house that could accommodate our family of 12, ages 14 to 83, and we found it!! We loved our stay in this private, clean, and peaceful property. We loved that it was a short drive from Orlando. We loved that it has a nice pool, and spectacular sunrise lake view. Jan (owner) went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant and memorable experience. This property has EVERYTHING you need for a relaxing vacation. Thank you so much Jan for offering your home for our enjoyment, we can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home in Old Florida!

My partner and I and our wedding party stayed here for our Bok Tower wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! The property is huge and serene. We loved the gorgeous oak trees and the view of the lake. We spent each morning making pancakes and watching the wildlife through the huge windows. There's an osprey nest on the property, so they could always be seen fishing. On the day of the wedding, we used the loft space for hair and makeup while everyone mingled on the first floor. The guesthouse was a great little slice of privacy for us. Tripper the cat frequently joined us inside and was very much welcome. He was the life of the party, very sweet and polite. The owner did make sure we were okay with cats when we booked, and for us he was a bonus. Definitely recommend this beautiful spot!

A hidden gem

Tucked at the end of a residential neighborhood this property is large and private. We had 13 guests and stayed for the weekend. There is a lot to do in the area as mentioned it is close to Bok Tower, Spook hill etc. but to be honest we only left the house to eat out the first night and make a grocery run. We fished the lake, swam in the pool, cooked out, had a ping pong tournament, put together jig- saw puzzles and napped in the hammocks. VERY child friendly. Two outdoor swings, a play set with more swings, and a small climbing wall. House was stocked full of board games, puzzles and toys. Oh yes, and plenty of towels. A perfectly relaxing weekend. Our only regret was that we didn't arrange to stay longer.

Everything we expected, and then some, and then some more

Our Men's group of 8 needed a place to sleep all of us for a retreat. The retreat ended a 12-month mentoring process with our church. We were pleasantly surprised that all the ancillary items were either available from our hosts or left from previous tenants. There were plenty of pots, pans, utensils, a griddle, cutting boards, plates, bowls, glasses, coffee cups, a huge frig with a big ice maker, a dishwasher with soap, sponges, soaps, towels. Speaking of towels, there were probably 20 towels for the bath and another 20 beach towels for the pool. The resident cat was one of the sweetest cats I have ever encountered. I never have had a cat that would allow someone to rub her belly without a scratch or bite or two. This cat did not bite but welcomed a soft belly rub as she stretched out all 4 legs on her back. The yard boasted an ingenious way to put up a swing dangling from a chain between 2 palms. Our resident engineer took note. He also loves swings so he thoroughly enjoyed the swing outside and the rocking chair inside. There was plenty of room in the living room for all of us. The wifi was constant and fast. The dart board got a lot of attention and use as well as the ping-pong table. Our host’s grill easily managed 12 Bubba burgers and 8 franks at one time, with ease. If you have kids, there are literally 2 walls of games and puzzles. The host’s had a spare cooler we used on a Paintball outing that fit eighteen 12 oz waters with ice or 24 cold waters without ice. There was a welcome basket of treats and snacks, a rack of spare hats, extra sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kit, spare phone charging cables, and a streaming TV. The dock made for a beautiful view of the sunrise. Plus there were a few gators that came to visit. There were ceiling fans in nearly every room to help keep the place cool, but the AC did its job and cooled us from 96 degrees outside to 72 degrees inside with ease. The place lived to more than what was promised. I would highly recommend a stay here. Our weekend was impactful and a success. Note: we did find a hidden gem called the Cherry Pocket. It is a restaurant about 4 miles west of the property. It is set inside a trailer park. If you go there get the Grooper Sandwich (not grouper but grooper), blackened. I had one for lunch, then went back and had it again for dinner the first day. It was very delicious and reasonable.

Fun weekend away with old friends

The property is perfect for a family or friends for a gathering. There is lots to do and Jan was really great with the communication. Had a great time. Would stay again.

Weekend Getaway

Took my 16 year old grandson for a fishing and relaxing weekend. He loved it! Many options for entertainment. Frisbee golf, basketball, pool, lake access with dock, many other games and board games. Great place. We will definitely come back.

Refreshing

This Lakehouse refreshed our church ministry from Calvary Chapel of 13 adults. We were able to do Bible studies by the pool while having the lake view. Wake up to beautiful sunsets because of the Ceiling windows and there is enough space on the property for everybody to spread out and get alone time. Everything was provided down to the grill and games and even fishing equipment. The owners of the home also gave us a list of activities that we were able to do in the area from horseback riding to airboat tours and Bok tower gardens. The surrounding area is just as peaceful and every driving experience was beautiful because of the surrounding the views. We would describe our experience as peaceful and refreshing and we would definitely do it again. We are very grateful.

The view is breath taking!

This property is absolutely beautiful! If was perfect of our staff retreat, with plenty of space, and lots of yard for team building activates. It was the perfect atmosphere for relaxation! The owner did let us know in advance that there is a cat on the property that occasionally comes inside, so those of us allergic to cates brought allergy medication. I'm glad we did because although we did not let it inside we could tell it is in there very often. All in all we will be keeping his one on out list of favorite properties!
