Waterfront cottage just 1 hr north of Toronto.
Situated on Orr Lake, shallow water. You get the entire house which consists of 3 bedrooms including a large master, cathedral ceiling, 2 levels of gorgeous lakefront view. Come and unwind: water play, canoe, kayak or skate and ski. Have a BBQ and enjoy the gatherings around the campfire by the lake at night. Close to hiking and cycling trails, Orr Lake Golf course. Short drive to Wasaga and other Beaches, Picturesque Georgian Bay, Horseshoe Valley Resort, Mount St. Louis Ski Resort, Elmvale Zoo. Don't want to pack so much stuff? 10 mins to nearest supermarket and 17 mins to department Store. Free use of Canoe and Kayaks and other floats. Create those lasting memories today with your friends or family.

This reservation has a Firm cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 60 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 60 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 30 to 59 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 30 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: infants welcome, please bring baby equipment, no smoking, no parties or events, well behaved dog may be considered.
-We accept booking throughout the year, min 2 nights. Summer we prefer min 3 nights.
-Available: Refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, propane BBQ, BBQ utensils, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, pots/pans/cutlery, glasses, cups, dishes, dish detergent, garbage bags, salt/pepper, sugar
-No Smoking of any kind inside or near an opened door or window.
-No loud parties
-Hot water tank is small, so please take short showers and spread them apart
-Bring sorted garbage out for Tuesday's pickup.
-Bring your own towels. We provide sheets and blankets/comforters.
-General Store 1 min away. Supermarkets 10 mins away.
-Winter season-access to the Lake and Backyard is through the side gate only
-Guests agrees to provide gov't photo ID of primary renter 18 yo or older
-Renter waives all liability against owner for any injury, or loss and will be responsible for the minor guests
-4 guests, security cameras by the exterior doors and gate.

Check in was super easy. The owner was extremely quick with replying to any questions and the cottage was great! Only reason we gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 is because we would have loved more comfortable seating in the living room area. Other than that the place was great. Would stay again

Great, cozy winter stay

What a lovely way to spend a couple of months in the Winter. Very cozy cottage with everything you need. Super easy access to winter sports, restaurants, grocery stores, and bigger cities if needed.

Perfect getaway for a group

There was 6 of us total and a dog. The location was beautiful, the property was great, water was so nice, host was super friendly and firepit was so relaxing. Honestly one of the best breaks I've had here in Canada. Would 10/10 recommend this place. Will definitely be back. All of my friends and my dog had a great time.

Little gem

Fire pit right by the shoreline.Spent most of our time outside enjoying the fire, the beautiful views of the lake and did some kayaking. Loved how clean and cozy the cottage was and loved even more that we were able to bring our dog along w us. The neighbours are super nice and the host is well. We would love coming back again someday!

Orr lake

This is a very nice three bedroom, waterfront, rustic and modern cottage. The master bedroom and washroom is on the main/upper floor the lower/basement floor has a family room With a gas woodstove and two bedrooms. There is a beautiful deck off the main floor which is 10 feet off the ground in the backyard and the lower floor also has a covered deck. We had a great time and I would definitely recommend this property.

Comfortable house with wonderful lake views

We had great time in the house. The lake was warm (last week of May), no mosquitoes before dusk. A lot of floatables and kayaks/canoes. The lake is shallow and the bottom is muddy, so we used floatables to swim away from the shore and swim where it is deeper. The water is crystal clear, so the swim was perfect. The view from the deck is perfect. The road is close, but it didn’t bother us much, especially on weekdays. The gas grill worked well (the ignition didn’t work, so we had to use a gas lighter). We used just 2 bedrooms of three and the house was very comfortable for 4 adults with a 5 month baby.

Fair experience. Can’t swim!

Advertising is misleading for those wanting waterfront cottage to swim - especially with kids. It’s shallow for miles with muddy /seaweed bottom. Inside is old no upgrades but clean. Living room only has one small old wicker couch no comfy and not enough comfortable seating for a family of 4 or more on main level. The host and family are lovely people. I recommend upgrades to cottage and revising the advertising.

Supplied with everything you could possibly want!

The place was clean, well-supplied with dishes, glasses and mugs, utensils, foods you may have forgotten, small appliances, tables and seats inside and out, cushions, games and more. Great programming on the TV. Helpful labels were placed where needed and a chalk board with my name welcomed me. The owner even gave us an easy-to-recall code for entry! The beds were large and comfortable, and the dressers and closets were more than adequate. The water sports equipment was generous, and with the shallow lake, beginners were safe. The instruction sheets were very clear. My visitor wants to book for the family next year. My only small complaint was the bedroom on the upper floor had no bedside lamp, so once the switch by the door was turned off the room was in darkness as you found the bed's location. Fortunately, I had a flashlight with me. The host was easy to communicate with and helpful. I would book again.

Peaceful and cozy

The place is clean and cozy atmosphere. It has a well equipped kitchen and has a fantastic location too. My husband and I loved our stay at Cedar Haven! Would definitely recommend and will definitely return. Thank you Ann!

Relaxing, Clean & beautiful view!

We wanted to get away for a relaxing trip and that's exactly what we got. We really enjoyed the property and how simple the checkin/checkout was. Everything was clean, local stores were close and easy to get to. we'd be happy to stay again.

Lakefront cottage Orr Lake

This was an adorable cottage with a great lakefront spot. Close to the general store which has everything you need. The cottage was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed! The property owner was very responsive and kind. I would 100% recommend this place!

Great time at the cottage!

We had a great time for our weekend stay. The chalkboard greeting was a nice touch, and the cottage smelled super fresh when we walked in the first time. There was a vast selection of water equipment, and the canoe/kayaks are in good shape (a few spiders in them but that's hard to avoid). The dock itself was pretty solid and the backyard was really nice overall. The hanging lights really help set the mood out back. Beds were comfortable, and ameneties inside the cottage were good. There was some wifi issues when it was raining (Point to point internet), but they sorted out in the morning. Overall a great cottage to come to, especially with the drive not being as long from Toronto as most cottages are.

Good spot for summer and winter family stays!

Well located close to skiing and summer hiking and lake fun. Good open dining and living room space and view of the lake. Extremely comfortable king beds and everything was well kept and ready for us! Thanks Anh!

Lovely lakeside setting.

Especially good for young families, as water is very shallow. Canoe, Kayak and other water toys are a good solution for enjoying the lake, as swimming is pretty impossible. BBQ works very well, and lots of utensils are included.
