Cabaña recientemente remodelada de 2 habitaciones y 1 baño con hermosas vistas a la montaña. Disfrute de la vista y el paisaje tranquilo desde el porche o desde el columpio en el patio delantero. Muy cerca de las Cavernas de Luray, el Museo de los Duques de Peligro de Cooter, el Parque Nacional Shenandoah, los senderos para caminar en el Bosque Nacional George Washington. We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! There was no shortage of entertainment, the hot tub was perfect for relaxing, and the mountain views were absolutely beautiful. The space was well thought out and made it easy to enjoy both downtime and fun. The host was incredibly kind and very communicative, which made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a memorable mountain getaway.

This was an excellent stay. The home was spotless, comfortable, and in a beautiful location, but what stood out most was the host’s kindness and responsiveness. Every question—big or small—was answered quickly and helpfully, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout the visit. We’re grateful for such a positive experience and would absolutely return.

This property was an overall 10/10. From the moment we arrived, the host had a custom “Happy Anniversary” wood sign hung for us on the front of the home. It was so thoughtful. Walking inside the first thing we noticed was that the home was absolutely spotless! Including the hot tub - clean and ready to go. The home was decorated with seasonal decor, adding to the cozy feel - truly a home away from home. It was equipped with everything needed from practical essentials such as paper towels, dish soap, bath towels, etc. to extras like board games, books, and more! The home was spacious, had everything needed to wind down for the perfect anniversary getaway weekend, and of course, spectacular views. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you for the care you put into maintaining your lovely home!

The cabin is really cute and was perfect for my needs. The area is beautiful. My only regret is that I didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub. But the outside fireplace was fabulous.

Property matched photos and listing. Jan was very attentive and communicated to us when needed.Location was ideal to hit Skyline Drive for hikes and dinner in downtown Luray.Also a great sunrise view while sitting in the living room!Would stay here again!

Our stay at Southern Comfort more than exceeded expectations. I had planned a quick SNP getaway for my children for their birthdays and staying here was as much a part of the itinerary as exploring the park and Luray Caverns. The kids had a wonderful time exploring the woods, playing Ms. PacMan (me, too!), playing on the swing set and of course roasting marshmallows. Upon arrival, Jan had set out a "Happy Birthday" sign to help us celebrate. The cabin was warm, inviting, and clean. The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains was a stunning way to begin and end each day. Jan was very responsive for every message I sent her andnever made me feel like a bother! The kids are already asking when we can come back again and since there is still so much more to explore, I think it's highly likely we will! Honestly, the generosity and hospitality of Jan cannot be matched - thank you so much for a wonderful birthday weekend!

The house is spacious, quiet, and clean. Jan was very helpful. We loved the mountain view when sitting on the couch in the living room and looking out through the windows. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back if we visit Shenandoah again!

Everything about this place was spectacular! From the cleanliness, the number of amenities, and a host that went above and beyond to accommodate our stay.. We will certainly be back to stay in this cozy cabin, nestled on the Massanutten mountainside, with a gorgeous view of the Shenandoah mountains. There are so many great things to do; With the Shenandoah River nearby, many trails with stunning overlooks, and of course the beautiful town of Luray, the entire area is packed full of sweet, country charm. In town we found some nice restaurants, breweries/wineries (and a meadery), antique stores, local music, a rescue zoo, and more! The Luray Caverns were quite a sight, and the hedge maze nearby was a fun experience. In summary, this place is centrally located to everything you could ask for, is very secluded, and has all the comforts of home you would need while visiting Shenandoah National Park and the surrounding area. 10/10 an absolute gem.

RAINY BUT GREAT

had a great time with my dog Lady, went to Laura Lake and the Luray Greenway many times and hiked up Hawksbill, dodged rain all week, but it was still great to be there

Winter trip

The cabin is fantastic. It had WiFi and all the pots and pans we needed. It’s close to many trails. My son loved the Ms. Pac-Man machine, pool table, and board games. I also appreciated the quick and clear communication with the property manager.

A place to unwind.

My husband and I along with our 2 corgis came out for a few days to mainly see Luray Caverns and recharge. That is exactly what we did. This cabin had everything you need for an amazing stay. The view from the deck is breath taking for watching sun and the moon come up. Just 2 miles up the road is an overlook that you can see the whole valley below for miles all around. We loved it so much we hated to leave. We will be back. The area is so lovely as well and everyone we met was wonderful.

Great Getaway

This is a wonderful property. Communication with the host was great. The home is thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and more. The pool table and Ms. Pacman were a lot of fun.

Wonderful solitude

This cabin was perfect for us--close enough to Luray & the park but with wonderful solitude. The hot tub was fantastic! Jan was quick to respond when the BBQ didn't work & got it up & running in no time.

Anniversary Mountain Getaway

Beautiful area, great host, and perfect house! We were very comfortable at Southern Comfort Cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and appliances, towels in the bathroom and a fantastic game room downstairs - it was exactly what we hoped for. Looking forward to renting again one day!

House in Mountains

This is a great property. Quiet and secluded where you can sit back and relax and forget about your troubles. Close to stores and anything else you need, but off the main road which is great. House was clean and well done, we enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and sitting outside during the evening hours on the swing. It was a great time and no one wanted to leave. Hosts were easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions we have prior to and during the trip. Highly recommend this location for a family getaway

Mountain Getaway

We planned a quick 3 night get away to the mountains. My husband, two boys and I. This home was perfect, it was secluded just enough but still only 10 mins from town. House was very clean, comfortable, had everything you need in the kitchen. Kids loved the basement filled with the tv, games, arcade game and pool table. House was filled with lots of things to do. The outside fire pit was nice, there was also a picnic table and large swing. There was a children’s swing set as well. Plenty of yard space for the kids to run around. Plenty of seating on both upper/lower deck/patio. The view from the top deck is breathtaking and absolutely loved it, it was exactly what I was looking for. The hosts were very great to communicate with and made sure we got settled in and didn’t need anything. Definitely have to come back again.

Fall Weekend

My husband stayed for two nights. We came to hike in Shenandoah, and the house was a great location to visit trails in the northern and central sections of the park. The house had everything we needed, and the view from the front was incredible. We enjoyed the sunrise.

Family hiking and biking destination

This was an ideal location for mountain hiking and biking with plenty of options for family fun and relaxation afterwards, including a game room as well as a front deck and living room offering spectacular views of the Shenandoah Mountains.

Southern Comfort offers a private river lot in close proximity to the cabin, and you can enjoy or float to this lot from public river access. In addition to that, an old log cabin built in 1947 is located on the property and ready to explore.
