Never stayed. When booked was for two persons, myself and disabled friend, I booked there because a sister has a condo nearby on second floor where other sisters were to stay, and the hope was be able to visit during the day at the first floor condo. 3 days prior to check-in I got a text message from Meredith Lodging (although booked on VBRO site) stating that only 2 people allowed inside condo at anytime, which would prevent sisters in upstairs condo from visiting with VBRO condo which was reason the condo was booked in the first place When I called to complain that I was not informed earlier about the rule that only 2 people allowed inside the condo at any point and I request a refund I was told it was my responsibility to check with owner about any questions I might have, including a condition I would never have suspected (maxiuman of 2 people in room at any moment in time) due to may past experiences staying in hotels and having friends over during the day. I was told it was too late for refund, even though I had booked on August 3 and notice received on September 6, so at time received this information it was already past 30 day refund period making it impossible for me to have cancelled within 30 day period. The personnel at Meredith Lodging were extremely rude and unresponsive. I’m upset that I have had pay for a place I was unable to use, especially since I am a senior on a limited income . In addition my sisters and I were disappointed to cancel reunion.

Needs some TLC

The location is amazing. Loved sitting on the patio and people watching. The room is good. Kitchenette is small but efficient. The Murphy bed needs some attention. We would roll to the middle of the bed. We were there for 3 nights and could NOT have endured one more on that mattress. It seriously needs to be replaced with a decent, higher end, mattress. The bathroom smells a bit “gramma house musty “. We would crack the window for showers. Very good food close by. Amazing beach walks. The end table was broken and barely stood. I fixed the roll up shade on the window so it was functional. I would stay here again only if they replace the mattress with something decent. Otherwise I would search for a different unit. Side note: we have stayed here before, a couple units down, and it was much better. For the price it was ok, but something has got to be done about that bed.

We enjoyed the property quite a bit. Reading other reviews a number of them stated that the bed was quite uncomfortable. We did not find that to be true. As a senior citizen I was a few strong suggestions. 1.) Put grab bars in the shower/tub. 2.) Provide a slip free bath matt for the tub. 3.) IMPORTANT Add a step out the back door. The way it is now, it’s a long step down and someone is going to break an ankle. Also install a grab bar next to the door leading into the condo. 3.) Replace those horribly uncomfortable rock hard chairs at the table. This was a very good place to take dogs. Easy beach access and not real fancy. When we take our dogs to the beach again, we’ll come back here. If it’s just my wife and I we’ll go to a fancier place.

Great location

We enjoyed staying in this small studio for a couple days. It’s steps away from the beach as well as restaurants which makes it a very convenient stop. The only thing that could be better is the mattress. It’s a Murphy bed and the mattress is pretty uncomfortable. We stayed 2nights which was tolerable however I wouldn’t want to sleep on this mattress for any longer. It’s loud, it moves, and you can feel the support bars. Not ideal. Aside from that the place is great for a quick trip to the beach.

Beach Stay

Pros: We were at the coast for a family birthday celebration. The size of this unit was more than adequate for a studio condo accommodation. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The keyed lock worked well and was a nice addition. Cons: The bed mattress was older and had a definite center groove. We rolled toward the center all night. The pillows were very worn and only about 2 1/2 inches thick. 😣. The bedding was worn with only a very light weight coverlet. The bathroom had black mold growing on the wall where the shower had a tendency to leak past the shower curtain. There had been an attempt to block the water from the shower but it was unsuccessful. The sink in the bathroom needs the drain cleaned out as it backed up every time we used it. The window in the main room was not washed either on the inside or outside before our stay. It looked like we were looking through a fog the entire time we were there. And finally, the cleaning lacked detail. The lamps were covered with dust and corners of the room and sofa cover were dirty. We have owned and operated an upscale lodging property and are always disappointed for the owners when their properties aren’t kept up to their expectations. We are hopeful these remarks will be shared with both the owner and the cleaning service so this property can shine as it deserves.

Definitely minimal

Overpriced because of all the extra fees. Adequate but not a comfortable bed. Noisy refrigerator. No hair dryer. Minimal amenities.

Great little spot in the world.

We had a lovely time at this location. Everything was just as promised, but we dropped a star because of the bed still being very squeaky and the mattress being not very comfortable. It’s about what I would expect for a Murphy bed, but if there were more pillows or something to make it a bit more comfortable that would have been nice.

Enjoyed my stay

Wonderful location, easy check-in process and the management company was very helpful and communicative. The only downside was the Murphy bed which was incredibly squeaky, to the point that I ended up trying to sleep on the couch. Overall, would stay here again but probably bring an air mattress to sleep on.

Getaway...for concert

We stay often in this area, our first time at this place. Our room was very clean, a few minor issues...lightbulb out, and we moved a lamp to have a bedtime reading light, otherwise it was a great place for us and our happy dog. Thanks for the dog towels....... The management was very responsive.

There is no hot tub or private beach access. The only reason I booked was for the hot tub and there is none to find. Had to search for access to the beach and had to walk all the east around to the public access area. Left the following morning after being there less than 24 hours of arriving.

Great place for a short getaway

Needed a few days away from the city and this was a nice quiet place to stay. While the accommodations were as expected for a sleepy Oregon coast studio. The view and sunsets were spectacular!

Dissatisfaction

We arrived and didn’t know it was a condo the pictures were a little deceiving. There was no toilet seat. I called and told the property management and they said it would be the next day until they could replace it. I told them I had tools to fix it and they said they that would be a great help to them. I went and bought the same exact seat and replaced it. Went to Ace Hardware which was 25 minutes away. Turn in the receipt the next day!! I still have not received my money back 😡. I told them just to refund it back to my credit card. Not very hard. When I didn’t see it on my credit card statement I called and someone dropped the ball and said they would get right on it. It’s been 25 days now and still no refund. I’m very disappointed.

Lovely location

The property needs a step installed to access the small patio. It is a long drop. The Murphy bed was very comfortable, and basic needs were met. And, no, I was not about to strip the bed and start your laundry.

Never again.

Very disappointing, never again. Also, I was not able to fully print out their rules and limitations, which you only receive after paying in full. But since their rules are so one-sided and not one of their rules is in your favor, they are not legal, anyway. You will love their threat, still charging your credit card in arrears after you left that place, for whatever amount they come up to charge you with - they think you owe them. Also illegal. Be careful, they think they have the legal right to charge your credit card after your departure. Especially since there is no walk-through, representative, or witness available, when you check-out. I had someone else walking the place with me and witnessing the deposal of the keys in the box. Make pictures, and check your card, you might have to cancel it. Chrissie
