Great location and well furnished.Could use some grab bars in the showers and a motion sensor light on the deck for after dark arrivals.Would definitely recommend.

Quite Nice!

The Starboard Cottage fit our needs perfectly. Clean, well equipped, easy walk to the beach. A couple of suggestions: the deck table needs to be replaced. Bath tubs should have vertical grab bars for us seniors. A TV user's sheet is needed (couldn't figure out how to get "local" channels -- but did enjoy Netflix).

Fantastic small place in the country

This place is so nice, it didn’t disappoint! My partner and dogs and I were very comfortable in this small house. It had everything that we could have asked for in a two night stay. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice stay. Good location

We have stayed here 3 times now and have always enjoyed it. The beach is only a 5 minute walk and a great location. The house was clean and even though dogs are allowed, it didn't smell like dogs. We will mostly likely be back next year too.

Beach Bliss

This is a charming property. We especially enjoyed the ocean view from the deck. We love to cook so the kitchen allowed for good cooking. Having two doors to the second bath was ideal. Only one thing lacking,,,,a hot tub and ditch the carpet. We’d stay again

we had a great weekend we liked the house it was cozy and comfy the only issue we had was the carpet needs cleaned just a lot of stains. not sure if there is cable but the roku worked fine .

Quiet beach community

A very relaxing seaside location. Huge deck with great stargazing to the sounds of the surf. Not a great view of the water but beach access only several blocks away. Would be a perfect place to safely bike the adjacent streets as it is off Hwy 101 enough to be secluded. We used the deck grill, everything worked and there were all the utensils too. Kitchen was compact but well stocked for the meals we cooked in house. We had two couples and the two bedrooms with one private bath and one semi private bath worked great with no need to share. Nice place, would stay here again !

great location

It's a difficult house to find as the address is on a different street than the address provided with an entirely different house number. The keyless entry system did not work; however we gained access from a key in a lock box. There is absolutely no yard. The house is not stocked with any cooking items other than salt and pepper. Otherwise it is a nice little house with both bedrooms having TVs and access to their own bathrooms. ROKU is the only access for TV watching so it's important to know how to set up streaming and have accounts with various streaming companies.

Not what you ask for

So the oceanfront view you advertise is the tiny corner of the deck far away from the house. Place was decent however the old carpet was filled with pinchy things that are feet are still recoving from. I tried to use the vacumn cleaner to no avail. The vacumn cleaner would not pick up the pinchy things. Had to pay a cleaning charge and had to run dishwasher strip the beds take out garbage for the money I would not recommend that place to anyone. This is the second time i wrote review first was never posted.

Cozy but

Very clean and nice new furniture but only 3 wash rags( facial) in the entire home! The cheap blinds are very dirty and block NO LIGHT so sleeping past sunrise at 5am is impossible and what most of us want a vacation to be able to relax! Beds are ok , but the pillows are feather ,very soft no support and the very thin memory foam ones no better ,so our necks are killing us and we got very little sleep ! Not as short of a walk to the beach as it states and to get on the beach you must walk through between homes...A huge dog would bark at us every time and scare our dogs! So nice ,pretty clean, and decorated nice with new furniture but spending $20 for at least 1 set if curtains I would recommend to the owners! And some stiffer not all feather soft pillows ! Otherwise it costs to much to come home sleepless and in pain!

Excellent property/management unfortunate accident.

Checking in at our Waldport rental was seamless, and Meredith Lodging's text service was top-notch, deserving 4 stars—I'd give 4.5 if I could! The house boasted spacious bathrooms, ample storage, Wi-Fi, Roku TVs, and a well-equipped kitchen. Located just a short walk to the beach, the building had the characteristic signs of wear you'd expect from a beach house, adding to its charm. While we encountered some cleanliness issues, I believe this was more a result of inconsiderate previous tenants. However, the cleaning crew should have alerted Meredith Lodging about the state of the rental. We found dog hair on beds, fresh pee and vomit, and carpets that required additional vacuuming, filled with thorns and more hair. The kitchen trash bin was also overflowing with used doggy bags. In response to this, Meredith Lodging exemplified outstanding customer service. They were swift to act, displaying genuine concern for our experience. They promptly sent a cleaning crew, made sure all issues were addressed, and compensated us for our troubles. Their proactive approach and dedication to customer satisfaction were commendable. Despite the initial hiccups, I'd undoubtedly stay again.

They expect you to clean the house

My family and I have been renting vacation houses on the Oregon coast for almost 30 years. I can say that we will not rent this house again or house managed by Ocean Odyssey. Despite significant host and management fees this the house with filthy: one of the toilets hadn’t been flushed and carpets were covered with white hair or fur.Just before your arrival states they send a rules sheet that states:“Cleaning fees vary from home to home and are for sanitation and general cleaning only. Please leave the home neat and orderly in order to avoid additional cleaning charges. Additional cleaning charges are at ** per hour with a one hour minimum charge to be billed to the card on file”. Essentially, they expect you to clean the house. This includes doing part of the laundry:“Please wash and dry towels(at least have towels running in dryer before departure)…” So: if you have a long drive home: too bad. They expect you to hang around long enough to wash the towels and get them in the dyer which takes a little over an hour. The rules also state that:“Upon arrival, please make a thorough inspection of the home and report any damages or problems to our office immediately. Must Call and report or leave a message.”Which tells you that 1) Neither Ocean Odyssey or their cleaning crew spend enough time in the house to “make a thorough inspection and 2) yes they will try to hold you liable if the previous tenant trash the place.

Underwhelmed by the unit.

Pictures made it more attractive than it was. Yard area consisted of 4 ft reeds, no where to let a dog walk around. It was clean but very ordinary

Great stay, close to the beach

We spent 4 nights at the home and had a great experience. The house was clean and comfortable. It was only a couple of blocks from the beach with easy access. We also stayed here last March right before everything shut down for Covid. We have been coming to Waldport for many years and love the location of the little town. We will be back, I'm sure.

It was great!

We love staying there. The dishwasher wouldn't start and within an hour or two they had some one fix it. It was clean and close to the beach. We loved it.
