Overpriced /broke down / LOUD Construction going on

When we arrived we were very surprised to see that the complex housing unit was way smaller then expected , refrigerator leaked the whole leaving huge puddles of water on floor daily the doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms did not work , there was construction going on and it was very loud the whole time we were there . Waking up early to the sound of equipment backup beepers going on ALL day long . Water park overpriced at 20.00 per person per entry on different days as well as paddle boat rental @ 20.00 per 1/2 hour . Also the Peking was terrible not having any spots most of the time having to park at the front parking garage and walking back to your housing unit . Would not recommend stayed 8 days with 5 kids and cost me 5800 .00 . Way to much for such a small broken down overpriced "hotel" room .

Bad experience

My stay was good but my booking with you was horrible I get down to my resort and they tell me my room is canceled at the last minute but no one let me know until I drove eight hours down there I still stayed at the same property they had room for me gave me a decent rate but it did not like the experience I’m going down there not knowing about my reservation

Moments to memories

Th VRBO experience was easy....check in was a little confusing at the resort due to Newby at the desk. I didn't have to go through the "timeshare" spill and the staff pretty much left us alone. We had a great 4 days and we are already looking ahead to our next stay. Owner of the property was very attentive to check in issue and expedited the process for us.

The property was great.

The location of the villa was perfect (1100 building) for us and our animals. 1st floor for our girls (animals) was great for bathroom breaks for them, and close to the front where everything is at. As for the actual villa, not impressed this time. Yes it was updated but there were a lot of broken things in the villa and even for being renovated it was a bit run down. The internet is a complete dead zone and nothing that Tech support could do and for some reason when the system was upgraded last year they overlooked this area/dead zone and I own a business and need the internet which made it a bit difficult and ended up having to hotspot off my data plan the two weeks we were there to conduct business. They ended up giving the wifi/internet to us for free because of all of the problems with the initial check in and the villa, but I barely used it just because of the dead zone (and its expensive if you have to pay for it for which would not have been worth it). Other than that it was again a great vacation at the property. Because of all the problems they also gave us an Amenities card which allowed us to use the gym, and many of the other pay items which was very nice of them. Cant complain to much, but just a little bit which I hate doing and you cant make everyone happy all the time but they did the best they could to make up for it so thank you. Best, Chad/Mandy

The condo seemed old and need of repairs. The bathroom toilet had to be plunged twice and the same

The same bathrooms shower leaked water from the ceiling. No one came for a long time. Our toilet in there also overflowed and we waited hours before someone came. We would call for towels or something like that and it would not come. We liked the pools. There was a huge miscommunication with me and the owner about the resort fee. The blender does not work and I would not say it was a full kitchen. Disappointed

Great property and experience; would recommend it!

Property very clean, parking is limited depending on when you returned from your day's / evening's activities, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only knock on our condo was the older pans in the kitchen that were not Teflon quality so cleaning them after our breakfast meal took longer than we were used to. Great stay and would do it again.

Great location!

If you are going to the theme parks, you can't beat the location. 15 minutes from Disney and 10 minutes from Universal. The condo was nice. We stocked breakfast food and snacks. Several places deliver there as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Not what I was expecting

I didn't realize this was a time share condo. As soon as you check in you are offered to sit through other time share Lectures and sales plans. However, you can decline to do so. The facility is nice. Security is EVERYWHERE....I wondered why? You have to pay for everything in addition to the room rate. This includes wifi, cable television , etc. There are plenty of things to do there on site but I ended up checking out two days early and lost what I paid. The air conditioner was not working right in the condo. It was a HOT and uncomfortable night. I did not report it because I knew I was checking out after only a few hours in it. You can see Disney fireworks over the lake at night if you ask for the condo facing the lake. Now that was awesome!

This property was a disappointment

I was sent a correct copy of my reservation confirmation, but the information on the hotel computer was entered wrong. Both my name and my arrival and checkout dates were entered incorrectly, necessitating several phone calls from me to remote locations to correct the issues. This "could not be handled by the resort check-in desk". Immediately following check-in, my daughter and I were whisked over to a sales pitch offering a "free breakfast" and tour of the grounds and a cash refund of a certain amount, so that they could pitch condo time-shares to us the next morning. We were tired and just wanted to get to bed. We already had plans for the next day, and declined the offer, whereupon we were turned away without the slightest idea where our condo was located. This is a HUGE property. Upon arrival to our condo, we knew that we had made a terrible mistake in staying at Westgate Lakes. The unit had not been renovated since the 1980s. The showers were dirty. The guest room could not be darkened for sleep and the people in the hallways were very loud all night long, preventing my daughter from sleeping. The vending machines took our money and did not deliver the drink that we had paid for. We did not use any of the pools because we did not feel safe. This is the first time that I have been completely disappointed in a VRBO property. I have never written a negative review. Two nights was too long to stay at this property.

Don't pay full price for this property.

This "property" is a timeshare in a resort. Since the company behind it wants to get you in there so they can pitch you their products, they offer 4-night stays for next to nothing in their resort. I made the mistake of not exploring all my options before I took it up so ended up feeling ripped off. The property itself is fine overall - its age is starting to show. All the amenities were working and mostly available. One of the pools was crowded at times. The services and people were very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The shuttles to and from nearby parks can save you quite a bit of time and money. We used the spa quite a bit and the quality of service was great for the price. The available kayaks seemed dated but in good working condition. Overall, a great vacation experience except for the couple of hours of sales pitch that we had to sit through. I'd recommend this place for a short vacation if you can get a good deal and are sure you can withstand the sales pressure.

The property is okay

The property was okay. Housekeeping however didn't clean one of the toilet well it was dirty the whole time. And the people that are trying to sell you their time share are a pain. You tell them stray up you are not going to buy anything but they still insist and if you don't buy they get upset. That was annoying. Next time I will pay full price for my ticket (just like I did) and buy my own breakfast.
