great views but needs some updating

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed four days in this cabin. Although we liked the location, the cabin needs updating (kitchen utensils, cookware, glasses especially) The exterior of the cabin (decks) was very dirty - probably not yet cleaned for the season, but we could not use the open deck at all. The area with the hot tub was especially dirty, with broken furniture all around. So we didn't use the tub, although we would have loved to.

They stay was easy check in the property manager was very easy to talk to. There was no ac. We were worried coming from Florida. This was so nice fresh air. And even better doordash comes up that hill. We we will be back. Again and agai

The TVs did were not in working; however, we did not need them at all to have a relaxing weekend. The hot tub had so much chlorine in it that was overwhelming, so we only used it once which was a disappointment. The cabin was very clean with a beautiful view. We were very happy with our relaxing weekend at this cabin.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very satisfied with the amenities of the cabin, the location, and the view! It was cozy after a day of hiking and the hot tub was a bonus!The outdoor furniture could use some love and maybe keep in mind when renting cabin in the fall to have leaves removed prior to arrival as we swept many leaves off the walkway and decks.

Cabin in the woods

This was our second time staying at this cabin. Beautiful views and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The decks need to be pressure washed and some updating of the furniture. The master King bed is not very comfortable. and there were tons of leaves on the decks. It had rained so it was slippery. My husband slipped on them and almost fell backwards. Very nice area and location.

Long weekend away with friends

My husband and I stayed in this cabin with another married couple and had the best weekend get away. The cabin was very clean, easy to access, and the views were amazing. Hot tub was hot and running and was the perfect size for 4 of us. The road up to the cabin is steep, but paved, so easy to find and get to. We were in Maggie Valley for an event at the festival grounds, and this cabin was less than 5 minutes away from it. Loved being so close to town, but also feeling a million miles away when in the cabin. We will book again!

First and last VRBO

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very disappointed. I have friends who stay in VRBO's they say they are much cleaner than motels. I cannot agree. When we drove up, there was a poor bear statue in front of the cabin, laying in pieces. The steps to the cabin and walkway looked like they hadn't been swept in months. The inside was okay, I loved the bear decor, but much of the decor was covered with dust,which made me wonder how often it gets clean. The decks behind the house were dirty as the walkway out front. The trim boards around the floor were dusty, being white, they do show dust easily so should be dusted often. For the price we had to pay, I feel it was not worth it. I do not plan on staying in a VRBO again. The cabin was a cute cabin, it just needed a good cleaning and some TLC.

Mountain View stay

Very nice property. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch that over looked the mountains. The house was very well equipped. All and all a lovely holiday weekend.

great views but a scary location for walking a dog

Dangerous drive on a one lane mountain road to and from cabin. Showers did not have safety/grab bars which led to my fall on 8-6-23. I requested this safety precaution to Manager before our arrival, as I told him we were 74 and 87 years of age. Manager installed grab handle and non-slip shower mat after my accident. Living room furniture was in very poor condition. Other accommodations were satisfactory.

Amazing!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a nice place to stay, enjoyed the views and comfortable bed and couch. Could use some updating in decor, a bit too many chatchkes, felt like we were visiting Grandma's. Drive up and down a bit steep, but started getting used to the drive after a couple times up/down. We hiked GSMNP thru Bryson City, drove thru Cherokee, enjoyed Soco Falls, drove the Blue Ridge Mountain parkway to Cumberland Gap, hiked on the Appalacian Trail and also did drive up to Cataloochee Valley elk viewing and hiking. Shopped and ate in Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Bryson City, and Clyde. Overall a nice stay and would recommend. Walmart and Ingles for food shopping.

Great little cabin

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy and very comfortable. The cabin was well stocked with towels and extra pillows if needed and kitchen had everything you would need. It rained all weekend but the fireplace made for a nice evening. The rd is curvy and steep in certain parts but we managed just fine. The cabin was very quiet but still only less than a 5 minute drive to town. The views were gorgeous. The pics do it no justice. We would definitely stay here again and hope to come back soon.

Perfect location

We loved the ambiance and magnificent view! It was an ideal getaway for the two of us, and we were blessed with perfect weather along with stunning fall foliage surrounding the cabin. We will definitely try to make a return trip!
