Antigua alquería Muy encantador y espacioso 250 años rústico, situado en zona tranquila con espléndidas vistas al mar. Fue totalmente restaurada hace 6 años y tiene muy buen acceso. 1 milla por el camino de la preciosa antiguo pueblo árabe blanco de Frigiliana y 3 millas de la animada localidad de Nerja, con su hermosa playa de Burriana. La casa tiene 4 dormitorios de los cuales uno puede usarse para 4 personas. Cuenta con una piscina, 3 terrazas y un gran encantador (4.000 m²) jardín con árboles tropicales. La casa cuenta con buen acceso y ofrece mucha privacidad detrás de las paredes que garantizan la privacidad. En el entorno cercano se puede ir andando, en bicicleta, montar a caballo y hay varios restaurantes a poca distancia a pie. Desde el antiguo propietario se ha desactivado, la casa es de 90% para silla de ruedas. La casa dispone de calefacción central totales y por lo tanto también es muy cómodo durante el invierno! Mooie omgeving

Heerlijk genoten. Super leuke cortijo en kwamen niks te kort. Veel ruimte, maar konden ook wel genieten van de omgeving..alleen was bij aankomst het zwembad niet schoon of in elk geval het onderhoud. Dit was verholpen na dit aangegeven te hebben. Je moet wel een auto hebben anders is het lastig

Zwischen Zeitreise und Paradies

Wir verbrachten 2 Wochen hier im April/Mai 2021. Anfänglich war es sehr kühl und teils regnerisch, daher wirkte alles etwas düster. Mit dem Feuer und der elektrischen Heizung konnten wir dann die nötige Wärme im Haus erzeugen. Ich fühlte mich, als hätte ich eine Zeitreise gemacht. Die Villa, welche 250-jährig ist und damals als Bauernhaus fungierte, hat noch heute den ursprünglichen Charme. Wer sich gerne in eine frühere Zeit versetzt und den Charme und Antiquitäten liebt, wird sein Herz hier verlieren. Nach ein paar Tagen kam auch die Sonne und das schöne Wetter, und die Villa, die Lage, die Aussicht, der Pool und die Ruhe hat uns den Atem geraubt. Genau hier konnten wir unsere Batterien aufladen und uns als Familie geniessen. Wir hatten eine traumhafte Zeit. Wir haben einfache Menüs Zuhause gekocht, Equipment war vorhanden aber manchmal gingen wir auch ins Restaurant. Seit der Corona Krise hat sich vieles hier verändert, daher haben wir die Villa noch ein bisschen mehr genossen. Wir haben trotzdem viele Ausflüge in Andalusien gemacht und sehr viel gesehen und erlebt. Alles in allem traumhaft, empfehlenswert und ein Geheimtipp wer was ganz besonderes sucht. Auch die Übernahme und Abgabe hat super geklappt. Kommunikation mit Eigentümer war Top. Sehr hilfsbereit, schnell mit antworten und zuverlässig. Vor Ort wurden wir ebenfalls gut betreut. Haben ein Herz voller Liebe und tollen Erinnerungen mit nach Hause genommen.

Very relaxing.

We enjoyed a week of vacation here. 3 generations, 2 children (1,5 and 5 years old) and 4 adults. The access to and from Malaga was easy in a rented car. The home fully lived up to our expectations and further beyond. The house was charming, the decor, the history and the surroundings, including the garden and the most tranqulinzing views over the valley and the sea. The house was perfect for just hanging out, spending time together and was also a nice base for trips to the caves in Nerja and Frigiliana. The communication with the owner worked out perfectly, and the written information he send prior to our arrival about the house and practical things was very handy. The house was well equipped, including kitchen facilities. We had some small requests, which were handled by contact to Anna and Antonio, who watches out for the house, doing cleaning and maintanance. Minor things on the down side were: imprecision in the location details on Homeaway.com. It did not look like there would be any neighbours close by, but there were. However, the place is very private. Antonio and a colleague met us at the house on the day of arrival. He introduced us to the house, which was nice. However, because he had been busy working at other vacation houses that day, he still had work to do in the garden later that evening, even though we had settled down for eating our dinner at appr. 6 o'clock that " evening". However, we acknowlegde that maintanance and cleaning takes time and hard work. All in all a wonderful and relaxing holiday. We would love to come back and have already recommended the place to others. Thank you

A beautiful property!

We are a family of 4 (kids aged 10 and 4 years old) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It is spacious and very clean. Although rustic this house is very well equipped with everything you could need. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is excellent and welcome on hot evenings. The pool and the surrounding area are fabulous. Very clean and well maintained. The views are spectacular and well worth the short journey up the hill. We had no problems at all and would love to return here sometime. We would highly recommend a stay here!

Ein wunderbarer Ort zur Entspannung!

Der gesamte Ablauf von Reservierung, über Ankunft und Abreise sehr unkompliziert. Es ist alles da, was man benötigt. Zur Anreise gab es die wichtigsten Dinge für den ersten Abend und das erste Frühstück. Eine wunderbare Idee! Das Haus hat eine tolle Lage mit phantastischem Ausblick. Wir konnten den Pool, die Terrasse und die Umgebung in vollem Umfang genießen.

Lovely well equipped traditional house with beautiful views but a long way from town

The house is as per the pictures shows. It is up in the hills behind Frigliana & on the edge of the National park. The house is v well equipped, has a well maintained pool & a lovely garden with a magnificent view. The host, Adrian, is v responsive and keen to help & the manager was great, taking us up to the property on our arrival at night. That was needed as the road up is v steep and twisty with a few hairpins. My main issue was that the house is nearly 5km (up a steep road) from Frigiliana (one of the pretty white towns in costa del sol) & not the 1 mile described in the website & about 11km from Nerja rather than the 3 miles in the describtion. So it is quite isolated though there are a couple of restaurants nearby & in the summer they are open later & of course it would be bright rather than dark & cold (one had no heating the day we went & was feezing). We would not have taken the place had the correct milage been given. We were unlucky with the weather initially & the house is v much a summer house as its large & a bit drafty, though it does have central heating. It is v lovely & prob is v cool in summer. Also the chimmney wasn't working v well & we had a house full of smoke the second time we lit the fire & so were unable to use it again which was a shame.

Entspannter Familienurlaub in fantastischer Lage

In diesem stilvollen Haus haben wir uns mit zwei Familien sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles ist liebevoll eingerichtet und bestens gepflegt. Wichtig ist, dass sich das untere separate Schlafzimmer außerhalb des Hauses befindet, also ideal für größere Kinder und Jugendliche ist, die die räumliche Trennung nicht fürchten oder gerne etwas Ruhe für sich haben. Der Blick ist einzigartig! Die Lage ist ideal, weil man spanische Kultur und Wanderungen in beeindruckender Natur mit einem Aufenthalt am Meer verbinden kann. Unsere Ausflugsziele Granada, Malaga, Höhlen und Strand von Nerja und natürlich Frigiliana waren sehr gut zu erreichen und die Semana santa ein großartiges Erlebnis! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Toller Urlaub in sehr schöner Finca

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in fantastischer Lage! Wunderbarer Blick auf das Meer und die Umgebung, angenehme Nähe zu dem netten Dorf Frigiliana und zum Meer. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus zu Spaziergängen und Wanderungen aufbrechen. Im großzügigen Haus ist alles vorhanden, die Küchenutensilien könnten ein wenig aufgefrischet werden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Absolutely delightful

A fabulous property. Spacious, traditional with everything you could possibly need. Clean and comfortable with excellent outdoor and indoor space. We were 2 families of 4 and there was plenty of space for all of us. The view is exceptional, the pool an absolute bonus and of course not forgetting the lovely Antonio who is on hand to help whenever you need it. Will absolutely return again. Don't hesitate, just book it.

Wonderful house with excellent position and views

We were a large familly with with our elderly mother who really appreciated the handicap facilities. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the old house, which was very charming, the large kitchen and the fantastic views. The house has a perfect position on the top of the hill, and away from the village. The pool was wonderful, and we stayed most of the time around the water. Antonio was very helpful and Adrian had given us great help with the guide to the house as well as the surroundings. Truly a little paradise. We hope to return.

We stay in the house for 2 weeks. We loved the house, garden en swimmingpool. Frigiliana is a nice village in the mountains en near the sea. You can make nice walkings in the neighbour!

Delightful stay

After enjoying the adorable Andalusian highlights for two weeks, we spent one delightful, relaxing week in Cortijo Los Almendros in Frigiliana. The house is a very original, nice, clean and attractive place, very complete, with plenty of room and personal touches everywhere. We were just the two of us and only used the left side of the house with the charming bedroom and the bathroom where also physical disabled people could stay very well. On the very nice terraces we spent many, many relaxing moments during days and nights, enjoying the gorgeous view. Also the garden and swimmingpool were very attractive. We made some tours in the neighbourhood to Frigiliana, Nerja, the beach and also a small walkingtour. The attractive sounding walkingtours we save for, perhaps, a next time, because our feet needed some rest after all those highlights. A great place to complete this memorable journey.

awesome place to stay

Great large house, with all equipments needed. We were with a group of 8 persons, all different ages, and really loved it. Rural setting, few nice restaurants nearby, great place to start a walk deep into mountains. Swimming pool perfect for the kids and large garden to play (watch small children). Clean property and well maintained, loved the housekeeper/ manager! Would really recommend this propery to anyone! Restaurant we loved was at acebuchal.

One of the loveliest places ever been!!

We had the greatest holiday last autumn, not in the least because of the great atmosphere of Cortijo Los Almendros. Spacious house, good beds, clean, good service of the owner and their maintainer (who speaks English perfectly). The views are amazing from every point of the garden, house. And although it's a quiet area, there are a few good bars and restaurants within walking distance. We recommend this place to anyone and will be back for sure!!

A beautiful secluded property

The farmhouse has every convenience, plenty of space, clean and very inviting. Ten minutes from Frigilana a beautiful village, with many shops, and places to eat, the bigger shops are easy to get to, nearer Nerja (20mins), the road is very winding but not unsafe, its traffic very minimal. The views down the valley are outstanding leading to the Med and its horizon, secluded enough to lose the sense of time, yet close enough to refill the fridge. The pool, is clean and cooling, there is a choice of where to sunbathe, secure garden, locked gate, you will need a car. A nostalgic building permeates its history, with the wine press stands tall in one of its bedrooms, grape vines shade you while you absorb the scenery. A real treat, a little piece of Eden.

Peaceful location in fantastic area!

A friend of us suggested to visit this property, during our longer stay in the more 'buzzling' Torremolinos. It was like 'heaven on earth'! In this property you feel the atmosphere of ancient spanish history on one hand, on the other hand you can enjoy the mediterranean culture and the comfort of the house as well. The property is clean, well maintained and you will have everything you need. The local caretaker is a nice and helpful man and we would sure recommend this property to our friends and family. Even stronger; we will come back ourselves again! The attractions and restaurants in the environment are nice as well; the owner can give you a lot of information. You do need a car to visit the area; there is no bus station in the near environment....

Superb location for a great holiday!

We have been visiting Andalucia for many years now, and never had such a wonderful stay as in this property! It has an ideal mix of relaxation, luxury and comfort. Good equipped kitchen/ materials, wonderful beds and the sights and environments are stunning! We enjoyed the pool and the BBQ very much and thanks to the perfect weather at the time, had many swims in the sea as well! We visited Frigiliana several times and the owner has given us wonderful tips for nearby restaurants, horse ridings and walks. The property Manager, Antonio, is a great guy, who brought us some eggs and vegetables from his own properties. He likes to tell a lot about the environment and the history, which made our stay even more complete. There is only 1 disadvantage on Cortijo Los Almendros, which is: you don't want to leave!!

Disappointing and very expensive

Very disappointed with this accommodation. We were led to believe that this property was suitable for young children. This was necessary as we were holidaying with our daughter, son in law and their twins aged 18months. The property was dangerous for the twins. There was a small wall round the pool which led to an area with a drop of 3 to 4 meters on to concrete. Furthermore there was raw sewage coming up into the bath which in itself would have rendered the property unsuitable for our stay. In order to holiday with our grandchildren we had to find alternative accommodation. We have not received the recompense we asked for from the owner (the rental for the time we didn't use the property). .

Charming family house

We spent our holiday here during Christmas time last year with our children and little grand children and had the most wonderful time! The weather was beautiful (every day breakfast on terrace, sun shining, seaviews), and it was the most complete and delightful house we ever rented! Very spacious, comfortable, kitchen has all one needs and the beds slept great. The environment of the house offers a lot of activities. We did some horseriding, we walked and made use of the nice tips the owners gave us before our stay. There are few restaurants near the house, of which one of them serves good meals with good price-quality relation. The beaches aren't far away and with some help from the owners we found the most beautiful, isolated ones. With the romantic fire place we had a very good and cosy Christmas period and thanks to the central heating system (at nights it could be chilly) we never felt cold. In other words; we have great memories of a lovely holiday at a beautiful spot and would recommend this place to everyone!

A real hit!

With our children and grandchildren we have had a fantastic holiday at Cortijo Almendros. The information leaflet of the owners (Janine & Adriaan) is perfect; in addition to information about the house they also give you information about the environment (such as walking and eating). For us as grandparents the separate cortijito was optimal: calm, cool and privacy. The house is comfortable, cozy and fully equipped; books for the elderly and games for the kids there were plenty. Practical was the Internet and Dutch TV on the tube. The administrator Antonio is very attentive and extremely helpful. In short, a real hit at Los Almendros!

One of our favourites!

We have been several times in Andalusia to explore and we have done this already three times from Los Almendros. It's a very special place. The house is a monument and has many character because of the thick walls and the old details like the fireplace, small windows, olive press and more. Everything is well maintained, the services of the owners and the local manager Antonio always perfect. The view is absolutely stunning, magic and you always can discover new things. There are lots of things to do in the environment and it's a perfect base to get to learn Andalusia and it's greatness better!

Lovely holiday home

We are three generations, aged 3 to 63 who stayed here before in 2011 and 2012. At our maximum we comprised 10 persons with 3 rental cars parked in the courtyard for about a week, and the house was comfortable even then. We enjoyed cooking big meals in the kitchen and eating at the table outdoors. My wife was entranced with the atmosphere of the house. We really appreciated the fine view from the house and of course the pool was used a lot, especially by my young granddaughters. A special surprise is the huge herd of goats that passing quietly by on the dark road every evening around 10. After returning home to Oslo we booked a period for the following summer and so we have been here for the third time now. The caretaker Antonio is a very fluent English speaker and diligantly attended to the maintenance.

About 20 years ago we, my wife and I, travelled through Spain for the first time. Before I was more interested in France since I was brought up by a Francophile father. My wife had been studying in Malaga and wanted me to see the beauty of southern Spain. I was immediately impressed by the unspoilt beauty and the wild nature you can find almost everywhere. After a few holidays driving around all parts of this magnificent country, we were struck by the perfect balanced True Spanish Nerja area. What started off as the well known window watching of estate agents soon became more and more serious. We have seen hundreds of houses. My wife loved to buy some kind of front line penthouse where I preferred an old and remote cottage. In the end we found in this little paradise the best of both ways.

We bought this one of a kind house because my wife fell instantaneously in love with it. We had seen so many "not inspiring" houses that we realised that this was a once in a life time opportunity to become the owner of a piece of Spanish history. We have the intention to go and live here permanently in the future. It breezes the old Spanish atmosphere and is very luxurious without being too perfect or decadent. It's positioned in the second line from the beach. You can lay on the beach in 15 minutes and at the a same time you can immerse yourself in the peacefulness of the countryside. There is too much to be done. You can go for a walk in the mountains, go to the Sierra Nevada, visit the Alhambra, ride horse, go to the prehistoric caves of Nerja, enjoy a walk in prize winning Frigiliana.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The most surprising advantage is the combination the tranquility of a country house on one hand and the comfort of a see side house on the other hand. This is because of the short drive the Nerja beach and having at the same time the shepherds who are passing by our house every day. The beautiful sea views in front of you and overwhelming mountain views behind you are also hard to describe. Every single room is very spacious with high ceilings and has a private see sights for you every morning to wake up. You can be in an unspoilt historic Spanish Hacienda with at the same time the all the modern facilities for summer and winter. Around the house there is so much to discover. We know the area so we can arrange almost anything. We do recommend make a guided walk with our local guide.
