Probably the nearest property to the beach with it's own pool, hence its popularity. Being an older house, we've modernised pretty well all aspects of it, to make it an ideal stay for a Nerja vacation.

The location makes the house a popular choice, being so close to the beach. It's a bit longer through the narrow streets of the old town to the centre, but worth the walk of about fifteen minutes.

Being set back from the road, it's generally unaffected by the lively activities which might be generated by a nearby beach front location.. We hope to hear from our guests again, if at any time they visit Nerja in the future.

Thanks for your review and we're pleased to note that you enjoyed your stay.. The staircase down to our third bedroom is a bit narrow, with a bend, so toddlers do require supervision. The Town Hall works at the end of the 'Community' garden are temporary, due to be finished in the next few weeks.

'Alamar' is always very popular, one of the nearest properties to Burriana Beach with its own pool, plus the additional advantage of being an easy walk into the centre of town. You don't really need a car, if you're just going to relax locally. Our agent in Nerja is more than happy to arrange the transfer from Malaga Airport.

We're always pleased to hear positively from guests, especially at the start of their holiday, as we know first impressions are important. The pool can be a little chilly early season, as Nerja gets its water from the mountains, but children love our private pool at all times of the year.

Being so near the beach and town centre, reduces the need for car hire, so many of our guests ask us to arrange a taxi from the airport. The house is very popular, being so near the beach. It is part of one of the earliest 'Communities' built in the Burriana area and as such, not built specifically as a rental property. It has been much modernised by ourselves to make it as user friendly as possible and comply with all the latest Spanish regulations.

It is also more spacious than many in the area., with a large living room ideal for all the family. The terrace with its built-in bar-b-q and gated pool area is again, ideal for all the family. Many of our guests are repeats, dating back to 2002, but we're always pleased to welcome new guests.

We will pass on your comment about the grill and the glasses. Nobody has ever reported a shortage of crockery and cutlery. We are sutprised you say there is an absolute minimun, when there is only two of you, it is equipped for six.. We do not advertise TV, other than through guests own system. The wi-fi has not been hacked, it is usually between 30-40 Mb and is connected to the national 4G Spanish telephone system over which we have no control.. The air con units are reversible to supply heat and they are more than adequate for the winter. In case of very cold weather, our agent can supply convector heaters, if guests make contact. In the unlilely event our agent is unavailable, we can be easily contacted in the UK., which we were not. In the event of a complaint, we request guests contact us at the time, as opposed to complaints four weeks after. Our current winter guests have no wi-fi problems, or an issue with any other of the comments in this review

We have been renting property through Home Away and its predecessor Holiday-Rentals, both in Nerja and the French Alps for 29 years. Never have we experienced a more difficult client, whose claims are not only false, but we believe are libellous. We have considered taking the matter to court, but we really haven't got the time or interest. We would refer potential renters to recent reviews, just prior to this guest. Subsequent guests, whom we visited in person, have been more than happy and a recent viewing, a fortnight after this guest, has resulted in a reservation in 2018. We have every confidence in our property and our team in Nerja. To all potential renters, feel free to contact us for any concerns you may have.

Firstly, for an accurate assessment of the property, we suggest potential renters look at the excellent reviews we have received this summer, particularly the ones either side of this one. The guest claims she sent a text on the morning after arrival, but was never received. She made no further attempt at contact until 4 days later listing the issues she raises here. We have no way of verifying if many of these issues actually existed at the time of their arrival or whether they occurred during the subsequent four days. Within hours of making her complaint she time and time again, by email and verbally to our agent, categorically refused to allow us access to rectify any of the issues. This we believe to be unreasonable. We have since inspected the property in person and as mentioned there are issues we cannot verify but were nevertheless prepared to put right, however, we robustly refute much of what is said. The "mould" was actually condensation caused by the aircon being set at a very low temperature. The towel she refers to is not known to us, the ones supplied were in excellent condition. The mugs are white, unchipped and unstained, we’re sorry she didn’t like them. There was no build of grime as previous guest reviews testify, similarly the condition of the pool and surrounding area. The narrow trench is at the bottom of the community area and is not within the boundary of our villa and as far away as possible. It is there at the behest to the Nerja Town Hall and beyond our control. The view from the villa on our picture page is clearly annotated that the view is “historic, sometimes obscured”, once again we are at the mercy of the Town Hall and their management of the foliage. We explained that we would contact her on our return home with the result of our findings, but before we could do that she posted this review, presumably to put more pressure to get the resolution she apparently wants. Sadly, I can confirm that this is not going to happen.

Parking is a bit of a problem, especially for Spanish guests who naturally drive to Nerja. For British guests, not so much a problem as many get a taxi from the airport. The Town Hall did build an underground car park, with mixed success as to its usage. But if you can find a spot to park, it is free at all times.
