Perfection

Cas Penelope is a beautiful property sat within a short walking distance of Fornalutx. We visited as a family of 6 and were blown away by the facilities, pool and garden. Jenny was very communicative and made the process feel very personalised. She left a generous welcome basket and gave a detailed walkthrough of the property including some lovely recommendations to eat out. She was keen to assist on parking, the only minor difficulty in such a small town, and made the check in very smoothe. If you’re looking for a quiet holiday home with access to lovely breakfast options (Correl-la cafe/ forn de barri) and lots of dining options for the evening… this is your next holiday! If you read this and decide to visit, make sure to give the next door neighbours dog (Hash) a pat for me!

Great place for a family reunion

We stayed for a week at the end of October and were pleasantly surprised that the weather was still warm enough for swimming in the pool and in the sea. Fornalutx is one of the prettiest towns on the island, and we loved being within easy walking distance of the square and the excellent bakery.

Fabulous Villa in Fornalutz

A group of friends had an amazing stay at this treat of a villa on the outskirts of Fornalutz. The house is amazing. I think it exceeded the photos. Very private, easy to get to by transfer from Palma. ( We chose not to hire a car) An incredibly generous welcome pack so we could settle in and quickly start enjoying our surroundings. It was so appreciated. The villa is just a short walk from the village - we had some lovely meals in a range of local restaurants and were able to meander back. We also walked to Soller which was hot but infinitely doable.. Bus back ! We enjoyed the shops and then took a tram trip to Port de Soller. We did not go any further as we were there for just 4 days and wanted to enjoy the villa. It’s really very comfortable. Communication with Jenny were excellent all the way from point of booking to moment of departure. Very helpful advice and very accommodating. Likewise Rachel thr villa manager was excellent. I think we all concluded it would be a villa we would return to either together or with families ! Thank you

A brilliant & very special place to holiday

Beautiful property with stunning views located within walking distance of the pretty village of Fornalutx. We were a party of 10 adults (mum, dad and our 4 adult kids & partners) and found the house very spacious & well equipped for all our needs. The large pool was particularly appreciated and well used. Jenny was very communicative & helpful even recommending restaurants in Palma for us. A brilliant & very special place to holiday.

We had a wonderful week in this villa. From the start communication was so easy and helpful. On arrival the most generous and kind welcome pack to save on panic shopping. Beautiful villa, clean and clearly a happy home too. Wish we were still there!

Wonderful

Our family of 8 people had a wonderful stay. The house is very beautiful with a lot of space, and was extremely well equipped and we didn’t lack anything. The pool area and the garden was great. We spent several evenings at the seating area under the majestic olive tree. The village Fornalutx was reached in less than 20 minutes walk, although a little bit uphill. We enjoyed the restaurants and the square in the center of the village. To conclude, we had a fantastic vacation!

We loved the scenic view from the pool. The house is lovely! Proximity to Fornalutx and Soller is great! We hope to return one day. Car rental tip - get a small rental car for easier driving on narrow streets and parking!

Wonderful House

Wonderful and clean house! Plenty of accessories and much to do at the house with the kids. Pool is very nice and it‘s no problem that it‘s not heated. We all enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Villa in beautiful surroundings.....

We booked to stay here as a base for my daughters wedding in Mallorca. I needed a home with space for the wedding party to congregate and get ready on the actual day. We arrived in Mallorca with one major suitcase of wedding clothes missing (arrived following day) and ended our stay with our hire car keyed down the entire length of the car (not done at the villa location) but the days inbetween were wonderful. The villa is gorgeous and full of everything you could possibly need - every gadget is there....even a milk frother and if you love books - well there are books and magazines in every room. There was games for the kids, records, cd's, amazing smelly hand wash and shower gel, plenty of towels both bath and pool and dressing gowns. You could not wish or ask for more. Due to the lost bag the first 24 hours were not enjoyable and Jenny (the owner) and I corresponded back and forth to the UK regarding this. She was incredibly helpful and offered to make calls in Spanish if we struggled to locate the bag. The Villa is just outside the beautiful village of Fornalutx where we walked or drove most mornings for fresh croissants or had a coffee in the square or cocktail in the afternoon. It is a short walk but an uphill walk and my husband did find this a struggle due to age and health hence the car drive. The roads around Mallorca especially inland can be quite narrow and as we had a big hire car there were many occasions when we had to reverse for oncoming traffic - just something to be aware of if you are not a confident driver. There is no official parking with this villa but spaces were available either up the hill or down the hill with a narrow path leading to the villa. We were fine with this although had not really taken this on board at time of booking and had an 80 year old with us on walking sticks and unsteady feet. Again, just something to be aware of if your party has elderly people. The garden space was perfect with different areas to relax although not a lot of relaxing was done with lost luggage and a wedding to sort. The views are amazing. I would definitely stay here again, there was simply nothing to fault and the cleanliness was exceptional. Once we got to grips with the narrow roads then travelling to nearby Soller or the port was very easy. Had fabulous pizzas in the local pizzeria, ate in the port and in Soller town and excellent Italian over in Deia. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Fabolous stay in Ca's Penelope

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful villa. We were a group of 10 friends gathered to celebrate my 50th birthday. We have stayed in Fornalutx for many years but this was our first in Ca's Penelope. The location is perfect only 5 mins from the village, the villa is beautiful and great for a group of 10. The pool was a super size and the gardens lovely - it was a real oasis. The communication with the owner was excellent and Rachel the manager was brilliant at welcoming us to the villa. Parking is a challenge however we quickly found a spot so all worked out. We will be back for another celebration that is for sure. Many thanks for looking after us so well.

Wonderful family holiday

After four years in the planning - thanks Covid, where communication with Jenny was always a pleasure, we had the best week at Ca’s Penelope, truly a home from home! Such a unique property with stunning views. While parking isn’t at the property we never had any difficulty parking a very short walk away and Fornalutx is such a beautiful village. We had the best time creating some wonderful family memories in a very special home. Thank you Jenny.

Idyllic escape

After a 2 year delay due to covid we finally had our family celebration in the most beautiful Villa, which was every bit as beautiful as it photographs. It is nestled in a beautiful village surrounded by mountains- the village is only a short walk away. The Villa has everything you would need, the kitchen has every gadget you could possibly need and their are toys, dvds, games etc. The pool area ( where we spent most of our days) is lovely for children and adults. We had a couple of issues but these were promptly dealt with promptly by Rachel. A really wonderful place.

A wonderful week on the doorstep of Mallorca’s most beautiful village

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. We were greeted by Jenny on arrival who helped us with our bags and showed us around her gorgeous house. The house was immaculate and really was a home from home. Jenny kindly gave us a welcome pack for our first night (where she requested what we needed in terms of food, drink etc). The house is incredibly spacious and so is the garden with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The house is only a 5 minute walk to Fornalutx which has plenty of restaurants and an amazing village shop stocked with everything you need. Our 2 year old loved running around the square whilst we had early evening drinks in the cafe. Jenny was a wonderful host and even organised a babysitter for us on one of the nights. I would highly recommend staying at this wonderful villa.

Little paradise hidden away

We had a fantastic stay at Ca's Penelope. Correct communication with the property owner and the lady who did the check-in / check-out. House is beautiful, very spacious bedrooms, nicely decorated. You need to take into account that there is no parking space to the house. We managed to park at the nearby recycling park which was fine for us but maybe a bit tricky for people that are less mobile or with a meal children. The garden area offers wonderful views to the Sierra Tramuntana. All in all a place we would recommend.

Authentic Spanish Village Location & Setting!

This Villa was located in a very picturesque setting within a short walk to the Village town of "Fornalux" pronounced "Forn-uh-Looch". It was a quiet and relaxing place, with quaint streets and a scenic drive to get to. The Port Soller was also a great Gem, more of a tourist area. Our rooms were spacious, and well appointed. The communication with the owner was excellent, and I found her help with a few extra requests truly helpful to us all. As mentioned, Parking was a bit of a challenge, but nothing that made this choice a game changer. Mostly, this location is a very Authentic Spanish Village location, which made it memorable. Our favorite local restaurant was "Calazone" - with great variety of entrees both Spanish & Italian, and amazing desserts.

60th getaway

This property more than lived up to the online photos and previous reviews by other travellers. This is a very special place to stay and we were extremely lucky to find Cas Penelope after countless nights of trying to find just the right type of villa to suit everyone in the groups needs. Jenny was fantastic and her communication amazing. She was extremely helpful in recommending a restaurant for my mums special 60th meal, that would suit everyone from 70-4 yrs. Every bedroom within the villa anyone would be happy to stay in. They are magnificent. The children really appreciated the variety of toys and dvds, which were also a welcome midday distraction from the sun. Towels were also in abundance and greatly appreciated. I would also like to note the surrounding area from a group perspective as well. We were a group of 8 adults and 3 children spanning 3 generations. The villa is situated just on the outsirkts of the most beautiful mountain village/small town, about a 5 min drive from the soller and 7 min drive to port soller which served us very well for beach days. The village of fornaluxt offers everything you would need for a week’s stay without venturing any further. The spar shop in the centre of the village is extremely well stocked and it really isn’t worth the drive down into soller to visit the Eroski supermarket. Fornaluxt also has around 10 cafes/restaurants which are all very good but both the pizza restaurant and the Majorcan restaurant opposite were our favourite. If we didn’t require a larger property next year I would have no propblem returning annually. My mind and body were at peace in the surroundings of this beautiful house. We have stayed here 3 times now and absolutely love the villa and location. Jenny is a great host , she tries to ensure that you get full enjoyment from her fabulous property. Only small criticism would be we felt the fridge space was slightly restrictive for 10 people.

Beautiful villa and surroundings

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the villa was perfect and had everything we needed. It was set in gorgeous hills with views you only see on postcards! It was a lovely walk into Fornalutx and Sóller where we found some great restaurants. Thanks Jenny we’ll definitely try and come back!

As good as it gets.

We had a wonderful time at Ca’s Penelope. The house is everything we wished for and more - a stunning location, a beautiful, eclectic interior, a lovely garden and pool, comfortable and very well appointed. Jenny was a welcoming and helpful host. We love Fornalutx and the surrounding area. Lots of excellent restaurants and quality shops providing Mallorquin produce. Wenwould particularly recommend Bens D’Avall, Lluna 36, Cafe Med, Cafe Soller and a boat trip on the Bonnie Lass out of Puerto de Soller. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Fabulous HUGE house !!

Set in Fornalutx..this stunning property is much larger than the photos depict. The shady porch area at the front of the house worked perfectly for us ..as we had two very young children with us . The pool was a little tricky with quite a drop off one side..to the grass. The kitchen is very well equipped..and has sharp knives..something hire properties don’t often have !! The roomy bedrooms have very comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms.With white fluffy towels! All in all a brilliant property that is still a “home” Go on .....book it 😉
