Casa Catorze es una villa excepcional terminada en marzo de 2008, ubicada en una de las zonas más bellas del Algarve. La villa está situada en el exclusivo parque de Albadeira y es ideal para vacaciones para grupos de hasta 8-10. Un coche no es esencial con todas las atracciones a poca distancia o en un corto viaje en taxi. La villa se encuentra en un terreno privado y se ofrece con un diseño moderno en 3 plantas. En el primer piso hay una habitación doble con baño y 2 habitaciones dobles que comparten un baño familiar. Un gran doble con baño en la planta baja. Una habitación doble y baño junto a la sala de juegos en la planta baja. Una sala de estar y comedor de planta abierta, conducen a la terraza y al área de la piscina privada. La cocina bien equipada proporciona acceso a la zona de comedor exterior y barbacoa incorporada. Pasos exteriores conducen a la terraza de la azotea con excelentes vistas. La villa tiene aire acondicionado y calefacción por suelo radiante para descansar de las noches de invierno.

Great stay at Lagos

Lovely stay. The swimming pool area is great and the house was clean and just like the photos. Location was good as well, near the beach and supermarkets.

Great directions and check in. Perfect villa for a family of 8 with bigger kids. Amazing large clean pool, games room downstairs with table tennis and table football. Clean, well equipped kitchen. Easy 15 min walk to a massive shallow beach.

Thanks for the positive review - glad you enjoyed the time at the villa. Some guests take a car if they want the freedom to explore. Shops, beach, and marina/town are within reasonable walking distance - taxis are abundant and inexpensive for the trip back to the villa after dinner or the big supermarket shop.

Stay was good, property was good, clean and basically as advertised. Errors in check-in email on WiFi and air con didn’t work everywhere … so a few small niggles. Overall ok

Glad you enjoyed the villa. WiFi was recently upgraded to super fast Fibre, we didn't get to update the access details in the welcome pack - all sorted now. Sorry about the AC -had we known we would have got it resolved for you - we've now corrected the fault.

Great villa, excellent location.

We were 2 families staying for approx 2 weeks in this fantastic villa. The villa itself lives up to its online billing. Very clean, spacious and with a very good pool. Lagos town 15min walk away, with all the bars and restaurants you would need. Bit of a climb uphill back but plenty of cheap Taxi/Uber services to take you home in the evening if you didn’t have a car like us. Host could take 1-2 days to respond to questions/requests but always responded eventually. In short would highly recommend this villa to anyone considering holidaying in Lagos or environs.

A relaxing 7 days

Initially booked as property is not too far from Sky Diving Centre. Had a lovely family week, property was accurately described, spacious and easy to gain access. The house was clean and had everything we needed even a welcome pack as we arrived late at night. Had great evenings with bbq food, swimming and good fun playing ping pong and table football. A few noisy lads with music across the way in the evenings though. Would appreciate knowledge as to whether the water was safe to drink and be sure to pack mosi spray. Had a great week thank you.

We had a fun holiday but the Villa was disappointing. It needed some serious Maintanance attending to and it wasn’t as described on listing. The pictures were obviously from some time ago. Communication with the owners after the holiday resulted in no compensation.

Sorry to receive this review. We were made aware of some minor issues but only after the visit which is frustrating as we would like to resolve them where possible during your stay. The review is disappointing as it's out of sync with our consistent high star rating and we have provided a generous gesture which was declined. We are renovating and improving some areas of the villa during the winter season to ensure it is continued to be offered at the high standards our guests expect and have experienced over the years."

Frustrating

Overall we were left disappointed despite the villa being lovely on the face of it and the trip having great potential. Villa is really nice, very spacious and has everything you could want. However air conditioning didn’t work in two of the bedrooms, which rendered them unusable for sleeping in as we were advised to keep shutters and curtains closed so temperatures were unbearable. Despite reporting on the first day it took half of our holiday to get fixed - local arrangements seemed ad hoc. Few other niggles which gave the impression that the villa isn’t hugely looked after. Great location though, Lagos is lovely.

Our agents were informed on the Sun and we had the issue resolved by the Tues which is a little later than we would have hoped but every effort is made to be as responsive as possible. A estadia foi boa. A casa está bem equipada, exceto as casa de banho cujos duches não tinham nenhum suporte.O esquecimento de cama de bebé foi inaceitável. As senhoras que fazem a manutenção da casa foram muito prestáveis.Nada a dizer!!

Spacious family villa in quiet neighbourhood

We had a fantastic week at this excellent villa. There were only 5 of us and we had so much space. The villa is very well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. Bathrooms/showrooms are lovely with good water pressure and never a shortage of hot water. The pool was heated, there were 6 sun loungers, and a table with plenty chairs for outside dining. The pool area did get extremely hot in the direct sunlight, but there is a parasol and areas where shade can be sought. We spent most of our daytime at the excellent beaches in the area, especially Meia Praia which is fabulous. We walked into Lagos each evening, which is about 15-20 minutes and mostly downhill. There are so many great restaurants there. Taxi or Uber back was maximum of €10, usually nearer €8 for the 5 of us. Bill was a fantastic host; he was very responsive and gave us some great information.

Good sized villa to use as a base for holiday in lagos

The villa was clean and comfortable with a very well maintained heated pool, nice outdoor spaces to relax, the villa benefits from a lovely sunny garden during the day but there is always the possibility to find shade if required. Table tennis for the kids a real plus in the basement!

Great position near beach and restaurants

A great house for families with everything you'd need including high chairs, travel cot, toys, books, dvds, table tennis, table football, wii and a fab swimming pool with some inflatables. The villa is very private and not overlooked and 3 of the rooms look out onto the balcony and pool . All rooms had plenty of storage with big wardrobes. We were glad not to be using the room in the 'basement' next to the games room as it didn't have much natural light and was full of flies . We walked to the beach, using our pushchair for the 3year old, in 10-15 minutes and ate at the beach bars towards town. Good food, friendly staff. The villa was definitely a plus for ease of access to beach and was a reasonable journey on foot to the town. We had a car and visited a few other towns in the area as well as do the shopping. The fish market was interesting but we picked up delicious prawns at the supermarkets too. One gripe is that no 'welcome pack' was left and we arrived at about 11pm with no milk / bread/basics. Not easy with small child. The villa had very few what I'd call 'nice touches' such as soap, beach towels, general toiletries, basic cooking ingredients such as pepper and oil. There were only a couple of dishwasher tablets and no washing powder. We left quite a lot and hope that the next people were able to benefit from those. All other villas I have used supplied more of these and it goes a long way towards making your visitors feel more welcome. Gripes over, a very nice villa in a good position.

Ideal for families but not couples

A lovely villa with super pool and outside area. It was a good 35 mins walk to Lagos and that was without children! The house was well equipped, apart from few little niggles - no hooks in bathrooms for towels and clothes, no mirrors in the two twin bedrooms, and a very small one to share in the shared bathroom- little things that could easily be remedied. The overall decoration could do with a lift, the twin rooms were very bare and not very welcoming! The place was quite clean, apart from down in the basement where my friends had to go around and sweep down all the cobwebs! Generally, it was a very nice place, but we would not have managed without a car and I think that 10 adults was quite a push - especially as there was not enough china - you need to check the amount of crockery you have - there were only 5 bowls, so we couldn’t all eat breakfast together!! That aside, it was a wonderful break with our friends 😁😁😁

The house had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Great layout. About 8 minute walk to huge beach and 15-20 minutes to Restaurants. I would say a car is a must.

Lovely Villa

Family holiday with 4 grown up children. Very pleased with the Villa. It was clean and had everything we may possibly need provided. Plenty to do inside and out. Beach is a 15 minute walk and we very often walked into town which is a good 20 minutes away and got Taxis back as it’s mainly uphill on the way back. Taxis varied in price from 5-8 Euro’s. A lovely place to spend a week would recommend to anyone.

Villa Cartorze

The property is located in a new urbanisation area about 15 minutes walk from the beach and about 20 minutes from the marina. Probably just too far out for someone with mobility problems. Because of the newness of the area, our shuttle had a problem finding the address both on arrival and on departure., although Uber drivers seemed to manage. There is a small convenience store about 10 minutes walk away, but for a major shop you need to go by car or taxi. The villa is well kitted out with modern conveniences. We were a party of nine so all five bedrooms were used. The bedroom in the basement has no window or air conditioner, but there are plenty of fans. The basement garage is converted into a games room which is a great addition for families. The pool was warm and inviting and much used. We all had a very enjoyable stay and will certainly be recommending the villa to family and friends. One recommendation I would make is the provision of a small welcome pack, including bottled water , sachets of tea, coffee, sugar and a carton of milk. This is particularly appreciated by guests arriving late in the evening.

Lovely well equipped villa with easy walking access to beautiful beach & restaurants.

I was looking for a private villa with walking access to both a beach & restaurants. I also wanted a heated pool. This villa ticked all the boxes. We were spending a week away with two of my sons, their partners & my 14 month old granddaughter. We weren’t disappointed. There was a high chair, travel cot, buggy & some toys to help keep the little one amused. Table tennis and football table helped to keep the adults amused. The pool was great, heated to a good temperature to allow us all to enjoy it. Plenty of sun beds & tables on the deck. We also used the bbq a couple of times. Indoors the furniture was contemporary & comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a useful book provided by the owners giving information, maps and general tips and directions. We had a problem with one of the air conditioning units, I called the management company who dealt with it swiftly. We had fantastic weather beyond our expectations with beautiful sunshine and clear blue skies every day. I would recommend this property for a family / group holiday.

Girls only October break.

There were nine of us mature ladies taking our annual break together. The villa was very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. As some of us had to share beds, it was comfortable as they were all kingsize and plenty of singles too. We found the villa very clean. The swimming pool (heated) was well used, enjoyed and a good size! The location was great. An easy walk to the Marina, town and beach. Although we sometimes got a taxi back from the supermarket (near the marina) and at night as there is a narrow part of the road with no footpath. Overall, a great villa. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend!

Vi var 10 stk. i ulik alder fra 1-50 år i alder, og alle hadde 2 fine uker i dette huset. Huset har alt du trenger til å lage mat, grille eller bare ha en rolig dag hjemme. Hyggelig bassengområde med solsenger, utemøbler og skjermet fra gatenivå. Oppvarmet basseng gjorde at alle fikk badet selv om sjøen var litt kald. Great base in a lovely part of the Algarve

Our 2nd visit to the villa, the first time with friends and this time with family. Our group consisted of a 6 month old baby, 3 year old, their parents, our son and girlfriend (30s) and us, now grandparents, so quite challenging to find somewhere that suited everyone. The villa turned out to be perfect! Plenty of space and amenities for everyone. All the necessary baby equipment there which helps a lot. The 3 year old lived in the pool (needs to be confident in water as out of his depth). We hired cars so could go off exploring, but plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance so everyone could do their own thing at times. All in all a great holiday with lots of happy memories.

Beautiful beach in walking distance, lovely town, great house - perfect holiday

An international group of 10 (6 adults, 4 children from 4 - 15 years) spent a lovely week in Oct 2017 at this house (actually it was our second stay). We had great weather and spent most time either on the terrace leveraging the pool (on chilly mornings or for night swims the heated water is a huge plus) or exploring the breathtaking beaches that you can find all within a 5-30min drive. The closest beach in walking distance is so big that you always will find a lonely spot. It is ideal for smaller children (usually less waves) or for a spontanous sunset or a morning jog or walk. Lagos is a beautiful smaller city, with great shopping downtown (the closest supermarket is only 5 min by car) and all dining options. We quite often just bought fish and barbarcued at the house when returning from another sunset. This time around we had no issues with Mosquitos (last time the kids were sprinkled with bites). We also tried the wake board lake in Lagos and had a blast. All in all we were all really sad that we could not spend two weeks. Highly recommended as a destination for a great holiday.

After holidaying & golfing in Lagos on several occasions, we felt we had found somewhere that we could come back to time and time again.

Lagos is full of charm and beauty that the historic old town provides coupled with several stunning (and safe) beaches in and around town that makes it a great family holiday location.

Lagos's location at the lesser developed western end of the Algarve, means you are still able to experience traditional Alrgarve living but are also within a reach of a great selection of golf courses, theme parks and attractions.

We purchased Villa Cartorze with families in mind - it's close to all the amenities of Lagos, such as the beaches, marina and town, but it's also located on a quite residential development so provides somewhere peaceful to relax

The villa itself, is set-up great for family holidays with a heated pool (with steps and graduated slope) and games room providing plenty of entertainment.

The villa is really well appointed with contemporary furniture.
