Casa Rosina es un espacioso alojamiento equipado con todos los servicios que una familia moderna necesita para sus vacaciones. En nuestra casa los niños se pueden entretener jugando con los bodyboards, juguetes de piscina, videojuegos y películas, mientras que los padres se relajan al lado de la piscina y observan las puestas de sol en el relajante bar de la azotea. Casa Rosina está a 5 min caminando de la playa y a 2 min caminando de los bares y restaurantes de la plaza central por lo que no tiene que traer carro. También puede relajarse al lado de la piscina privada y disfrutar de la tranquilidad. Ferragudo es uno de los pueblos más fotografiados de Algarve. Sus calles adoquinadas y casas de tarjeta postal se mezclan fácilmente con los bares locales y restaurantes La atmósfera única de Ferragudo está creada por una mezcla de la vida de la ciudad y el pequeño negocio pesquero de la zona que suministra pescados frescos a varios restaurantes.

Lovely Villa

A great villa, which was exactly as they described with the pictures exactly the same as well. The outside space was great as well with a great size pool. A 10 to 15 min walk to the harbour, which you need to be aware about is there are quite a few steps to go down to get too where the lovely restaurants, mostly fish but most restaurants offer meat as well. This is our 2nd time of coming to this area, we would definitely come again.

Lovely house in a great location

Lovely house with everything you need in a great location a short walk away from shops, restaurants and the beach. We had a great time making the most of the pool and the huge amount of floaties available.

Amazing villa! Exactly as advertised!

We had the best time at Casa Rosina! The villa was perfect for our family, including two small children. We loved the pool, the location was amazing, and overall had a blast. We would highly recommend.

Fabulous stay

The villa was ideal for a large family including a baby and a 3 year old . All safety gates installed. Loads of space and well equipped. The bedrooms were amazing with comfy beds. It is ideally situated to walk to the beach and the lovely town square. Which had lots of character and small winding streets. Definitely stay here again

Nice big villa

We enjoyed our stay here, Villa was big enough for all the quests and pool was awesome. Some of the necessities like toilet paper or trash bags were in limited in supplies but other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful Vacation

This home is beautifu. Perfect for our family of 8. The heated pool made the vacation so relaxing. House was clean and well equipped. Loved our walks to town and eating breakfast on the plaza. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and Gina was easy to correspond with.

Short stay with 6 friends

This villa is just perfect, we were 6 friends of over 40 years, the villa is spacious and has everything you need. The pool is lovely and we had lovely late nights sitting under the fairy lights in the bar by the pool. Ferragudo is lovely and a great base for seeing the Algarve. Would highly recommend

Beautiful Ferragudo

Beautiful spot. House was immaculate . Met at door by Kersten who showed us the villa and where things were in the town. It was our 40 th anniversary and there was a bottle of wine and beer in the fridge and a basket of goodies. The beach was only a 10 min walk and the town square 5 min away. There were 9 of us and we all had our own space. Pool was a definite plus as it was very hot . Would definitely recommend to stay here.

The villa was everything we were looking for; proximity to town and beach and easy drive to POIs.

The house was roomy and very comfortable for our group of 7 adults. The pool area was a big plus with plenty of new outdoor furniture, a grill and a feeling of privacy. The kitchen was well-stocked for our cooking needs. Aside from a few burnt out lightbulbs, everything was clean and in working order. Kerstin, the property manager was friendly available and accommodating. Although the en suite bathroom could use some remodeling to be considered "luxury", this was not a big issue for us. We would most definitely recommend Casa Rosina to anyone wanting a convenient Algarve location and a beautiful, private home to relax in with friends and family!

Beautiful property and area

I cannot recommend this property enough. We travelled in a party of 12 as a family with young children. Kerstin the property manager was fantastic from day one when we had issues with our hire cars at the airport and she couldn't help us enough. Ferragudo is beautiful and if you are a fish lover get down to the harbour where the fish come straight off the boats onto the barbecue. The beaches in and around Ferragudo are fantastic for all whether you're on a family holiday or romantic break. The villa itself was perfect, set on 3 three floors with an additional roof terrace it comfortably housed 12 of us. The pool was very popular and we are already missing it. There is a lovely little bar area next to the pool along with a barbecue and the pool is lined with lemon and lime trees. We are already planning a return to this area and if this property was available again we would definitely snap it up. Big thank you to Gina pre holiday for all your useful information and to Kerstin during the holiday for your help. We would all highly recommend this villa.

When can we come back?

We are five friends who have just returned from a week at Casa Rosina. What can I say, but it was perfect. The bright and spacious villa gave us all that we needed. Showers with great water pressure and comfortable beds are taken for granted at home, you’ll find them here too.The rooftop gave us wonderful sunrises. The kitchen contained everything needed, the corkscrew was broken and one purchased locally wasn’t that good so maybe take one in case. The kitchen-terrace was our spot for breakfast and the poolside area was our place to return to in the evening. I turned into a water baby this holiday as the pool was so warm and inviting. The additional ground floor kitchen was a true bonus. Then there is Ferragudo it’s self. Two beautiful local beaches and local shops and restaurants meant you wouldn’t need to leave, but with easy and cheap water taxis you will want to explore. Get the train to Lagos from Portimão......definite recommendation. We all felt a week was not enough and so would gladly return. Thank you Gina for sharing this beauty.

Sunny townhouse in the Algarve

This lovely townhouse is at the top of the hill up many twisty little roads, in a neighborhood that reminds me of Florida—lots of white townhouses stacked up the hill. This is an expat retirement community so not much of the original Portuguese fishing community feel left. The townhouse is 4 levels—a rooftop sun deck with views of the ocean, three bedrooms (master with bath, 2 bedrooms with shared bath) on the 1st floor (2nd story to people from the US), open living room/dining room with well stocked kitchen on the ground floor, with lovely deck, then walkout basement with two bedrooms and shared bathroom, exits to the pool level on the final lower level. The house is sunny and spacious—definitely made for large groups. Beautiful pool and large sitting area, BBQ, lemon trees. There are lots of stairs, so if people in your group have problems with stairs, be forewarned. It was very comfortable. It’s about a 45 minute drive to Sagres. There are lots of restaurants just down the hill—east walk— and the beach is a 10 minute walk. The port area is lovely. Perfect home if you want a sun/pool/beach vacation. The owner Gina is super easy to communicate with, very nice. Easy checkin. Just note that the lower walkout basement does have a mildew smell common in seaside places.

The Perfect Home Away from Home

The Casa Rosina is a lovely villa, and the perfect home away from home. This is my second time staying at the Casa Rosina, and hopefully it won’t be our last! We were a group of eight, two families of four, and the Casa Rosina was perfect for us. The villa is perfectly set up for large groups, with lots of space, bathrooms and big bedrooms to suit everyone. The outdoor space and pool are fabulous, and were thoroughly enjoyed every afternoon. The beach is an easy and enjoyable 10 minute walk, and by the end of our stay we had a perfect routine of spending our mornings at the beach, grabbing snacks and drinks at the Escondidinho or Kalu before heading back to the Casa Rosina for a late lunch and an afternoon swim in the sun! We ate in on a few occasions and found the kitchen to be well equipped. The outside dining areas were large enough to accommodate all eight of us which was great. When we didn’t eat in we went to the ‘square’ in Ferragudo. We ate at Italia, the Portorade, and Farragood (located across the street from the square and up the hill) and enjoyed great meals at each of these restaurants and all at a reasonable price. There are lots of restaurants to choose from in Ferragudo, there truly is something to suit every taste. The beach is great! It is big and wide, with lots of room for kids to play, or enjoy a stroll along the shore. The convenience of a lovely beach, a variety of good restaurants and supermarkets (two you can walk to, and a Lidl just 10mins by car) make this Villa, and Ferragudo, a must for any family or group considering a stay in the Algarve. When we arrived we were met by Corinna, she was kind and helpful and not only gave us a run down on how things worked but also a welcome pack of food and drinks. A lovely touch that was much appreciated after a long hot day. The ease of booking, and the prompt and kind responses from Gina and family were the final touches that made the Casa Rosina perfect! From start to finish Gina was great, as was the Casa Rosina. We are from Canada and arriving at the Casa Rosina felt like coming home. The Villa is spacious and clean, well-kept and obviously cared for by the owners. Ferragudo is a wonderful place, and the Casa Rosina makes the perfect holiday home for any group.

60th Birthday Portugal Trip

We had a wonderful stay for 8 nights in the quaint active fishing community in Portugal. 4 couples and had a blast. Gina was a great host who was very quick to respond to questions. Never over promised and under delivered. We got exactly what we expected. Would definitely rent there again if we go back to that area.

Perfect for a couple of families

Great villa in a great spot, perched on the top of the hill in Ferragudo with a short walk to the main square and a short walk to the main beach. Swimming pool area was beautiful and felt private, lined with some lemon trees which all added to the charm. Kitchen terrace perfect for breakfast and lunch to get out of the sun. Roof terrace absolutely perfect for those early evening glasses of wine. A few bits of furniture were starting to fray around the edges, but I'm sure that will be taken care of in time for the new holiday season next year (plus the front door sticks a bit, nothing a bit of sanding down wouldn't take care of). All in all, bar some small cosmetic improvements (which won't detract from your stay) it was perfect for what we needed it for - local restaurants all excellent (the Indian in the square is actually the pick of the bunch) and the check in process was completely smooth, arranged via Whatsapp. I look forward to visiting again.

Hi we are sisters in law. Between us we have four children from ages 16 to 24, two husbands, three dogs and a cat! The children share grandparents who live permanently in Ferragudo so we love to holiday together and have done so for the last sixteen years. We try to go at least twice a year and the rest of the time we like to think we share our villa and the lovely location with others! Many of our clients go again and again. I manage the bookings and pride myself on adding that extra touch to make planning your holiday that much easier and reassuring. We have plenty of help managing the villa, nothing is too much trouble from providing numerous birthday cakes (40th, 50th, 60th and 70th's so far....) contacts for restaurants or coordinating other villas for large groups of wedding guests. We ourselves like to try a different adventure or activity each year (from mountain biking, buggy driving, and sea kayaking to local spa's) We still have climbing, horse riding and plenty more on the 'to do' list.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We saw the house for sale, unexpectedly, on a weekend trip away and just thought it was perfect for families holidaying together, as we do.
Ferragudo is a perfect location. We can get everywhere by foot. Beach and beach bars by day, and the village square with its bars, restaurants and entertainment by night. We no longer hire a car, which is great for larger groups, we just choose where to meet up with each other. We can arrange airport transfers with a local firm on request. Ferragudo is unspoilt but with plenty to do and gets better each time we visit.
The busier resort of Praia da Rocha and the town of Portimao are easily accessible by water taxi, a short ride across the river. For trips further out we use a very reliable local taxi firm.
We love to play tennis and have tried organized mountain bike and kayak tours.

Benefits include the large private pool, a must for the children and adults alike in the Algarve sunshine.
Great location, just 8 minute walk to the beach with activities, bars and restaurants, or a 5 minute walk down to the village square with many bars and restaurants.
There is ample space for entertaining at Casa Rosina. We often BBQ by the pool in the evening and then walk down to the village square for a few drinks. Or we eat out and then end up by the poolside bar for a nightcap or more usually a cup of tea! We have a covered outdoor lounge area with rattan suite. Our villa is well equipped and has recently benefited from a complete refurbishment, including new beds, sofas, TV, BBQ, stereo, hotel quality linen, towels and soft furnishings.
The locals are very friendly. We often find that our clients have met friends of ours out there, we try not to get jealous! We have also had many compliments about our house manager Kerstin who is very helpful and lives locally, so is available to our guests whilst staying at Casa Rosina, should the need arise.
