Casa Pontinha, Villa frente al mar, con piscina privada en Jardim do Mar

La villa se asoma al mar desde el borde del pueblo, se llega a pie por un sendero peatonal de 150 m desde la plaza del pueblo. La villa se encuentra a 20 m sobre el nivel del mar con una vista ininterrumpida de 180 grados sobre el surf surf de Jardim do Mar. Frente al suroeste, disfruta de espectaculares puestas de sol y paisajes marinos a la luz de la luna. El piso superior ofrece nuestro propio alojamiento cuando visitamos Madeira y no se ofrece en alquiler. Este piso superior estará desocupado de abril a septiembre. La planta baja ofrece un apartamento de invitados independiente con una habitación doble con baño y una habitación doble con baño, un salón con vistas a la piscina privada y jardín al mar y una cocina totalmente equipada con nevera / congelador, microondas y lavavajillas. Hay televisión y conexión inalámbrica a internet. Un tercer dormitorio doble en suite al que se accede desde el hall de entrada está disponible a un pequeño costo adicional. Amazing villa in an amazing location

We couldn’t believe our luck when we arrived at Casa Pontinha. The location overlooking the sea is incredible, then there’s the beautiful pool and wonderful garden. Inside is just as spectacular with spacious bedrooms with large walk-in en-suite showers a light and airy living space and well equipped kitchen. The village of Jardim do Mar is delightful, with some lovely bars and restaurants and a great little swimming area. Probably one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough and we will definitely be back!

Great property! The view, the pool, great village. We loved Madeira and this village.

Great property - just beautiful views. Pool was fabulous. Village lovely. Close to the lovely beach and dolphin watching at Calheta; reasonably easy to access Funchal for days out with a hire car. The only downside (and it was quite significant) was the road closure to Jardim do Mar. Not only did this increase travel times each day, we had a very difficult 10 minute descent and ascent each day. Hiring a car and driving on the right was harrowing enough, but the sharp bends and sheer drops caused panic. It took the week to get used to the route. We would use the property again, but only when the diversion is eradicated. The locals are used to such roads, but oversees visitors may find this very overwhelming. I’m a confident driver but this drive worried me.

likely the most beautiful vacation home view in Madeira

The Good to Great: Owners were excellent to work with The View from almost every angle was incredible and serene The gardens were impeccably beautiful The pool was very nice very few bugs with the occasional fly only, allowing for open doors and windows maximizing air flow and cooling in the evening. The Average: Wifi was spotty but workable Didn't even try the TV. Just brought a good laptop and a HDMI cable and streamed Kitchen was small but workable grill was workable, but not up to the standards of the rest of the house The not that good Everyone of my kids and I complained about the beds being very stiff and uncomfortable. One daughter preferred to sleep on the floor with blankets and pillows. I didn't think it was that bad, but upgrades to mattresses would be a worthy investment. I didn't notice when booking but their is no air conditioning. There was fans provided and this helped a lot. Air flow was crucial to getting cooled off at night. We kept most doors and windows open and this was very helpful. If you expect a constant room temp and perhaps cooler at night to sleep well, it may be a bit more difficult depending on the nights breeze level and temp. I think most people will be fine with this, we are just a bit spoiled with our ability to set temperatures for the best night time sleeping temps at home Overall, I would come back to this place again, as the views are simply the best and the family experience outstanding.

Wonderful place with amazing views over the huge waves and cliffs. The house has all amenities you could need and is clean and well maintained with a nice BBQ. There is air con in the bedrooms. The pool is beautiful and it was still warm enough in October that we were able to make good use of it. Smooth check-in and tour. The village is quiet and pretty with a couple of nice restaurants.

Le paradis

La villa est magnifique avec la vue sur la mer. Cuisine très bien équipée, lit super confortable, contrairement à ce qui est mentionné, il y a la climatisation dans les chambres. La piscine chauffée est agréable. On ne se lasse pas de la vue. Le parking peut être un enjeu en haute saison. Il nous est arrivé de tourner un peu pour trouver une place mais on fini toujours par trouver. Tout était parfait. C’est un petit paradis qu’on a eu du mal à quitter. On recommande vraiment et si on revient à Madère nous louerons assurément cette magnifique maison.

Fantastisch huis met prachtig uitzicht

We hebben een fantastisch week gehad. Het is een groot huis met grote kamers en een aparte woonkamer. Prachtig uitzicht over de zee. Een heerlijk groot zwembad. Jardim do Mar is een mooi rustig dorpje. Als je rust zoekt met mogelijkheden tot dagelijkse uitstapjes op madeira dan is dit een goede uitvalsbasis.

Séjour idyllique

Après une première semaine passée à Madère dans une premiere villa neuve et confortable, nous étions curieux de découvrir et comparer cette maison. Nous n'avons pas été déçus, loin de là ! La vue sur la mer et les falaises est simplement idyllique. La maison et son vaste jardin sont un petit paradis, bien à l'abri au sein du village de Jardim do Mar. Tout le confort est présent, avec une large piscine profonde, et de nombreux équipements. Certes, la décoration et le mobilier ne sont pas récents, mais tout est de qualité. Le seul bémol, c'est l'absence de climatisation qui oblige, en ce mois de juillet, à laisser rafraîchir la maison la nuit en ouvrant les grandes baies, et les moustiques en profitent pour entrer...mais nous avons bien ri aux cris originaux des puffins, qui ne volent que de nuit. L'accès piéton à la maison n'est pas problématique : le parking est proche et cela donne beaucoup de charme et de calme a la villa. Vraiment, on se sent un peu les rois du monde lorsqu'on contemple l'océan devant nous. C'est de loin la maison la mieux placée du village, voire de la côte ! Merci à Teva pour son accueil et sa disponibilité. A recommander sans hésitation !

Unforgettable experience

Just perfect! Amazing view. Amazing house. Amazing village. Amazing hosts. The house is located in a quiet, cozy and lovely village (it has a really nice and busy bar though). It is well equiped ranging from towels to kitchen tools. The communication with the hosts and housekeeper was great - we've had a lovely welcome by the housekeeper. There is a nice grill station (which we could not see on the pictures). Definitly a must-book - you wont regret! Also the price is super fair, considering the prices of other houses of this quality, view and size. 10/10!

Fantastisch!

Een perfecte villa voor een mooie vakantie op Madeira, fantastisch gelegen aan de oceaan, van alle gemakken voorzien. Royaal zwembad, mooie grote tuin, barbecue, royale slaapkamers met elk eigen bad en toilet, etc. etc. Zeer plezierig alles geregeld met de eigenaar en de beheerster, met veel vertrouwen. Door de rustige ligging in het leuke dorpje Jardim do Mar wel een plek waar een eigen auto nodig is voor bezoek aan de rest van het eiland.

Fantastic family holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely villa. The pool and garden were wonderful and made our holiday, one of the best views we have had. Our children had a great time in the pool and at the local beach. Madeira was a great place to visit but would come back just to stay at this villa.

Excellent Villa

Beautiful villa in a stunning location. Just returned from a fantastic holiday in Jardim do Mar, our first visit to Madeira. This villa is great and has everything we wanted for our stay, it is really spacious has a great pool and is situated in probably the best location in this lovely quiet village. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance (all great) and around 15 minutes by car from the supermarket at Calheta. Also, it was great to have the underground garage to park the hire car out of the heat. The owners run this villa very professionally and communication is excellent - thanks Ray. Already saving up for next year...

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to enjoy your lovely house and to explore Madeira. When I get frazzled I just shut my eyes and think of that amazing view from your terrace, with the total lack of noise. You have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable We have completely fallen in love with everything about your house and the island. Such friendly people, crazy language, superb fishing/ swimming/snorkeling - good advice from local people as to the best places for all. Dolphin chasing. Levada walking. Fish and flower market. Cable car, gardens and toboggans. Great food to enjoy in and out. Absolutely superb. And we would love to come back sometime if you would let us. We feel so rested. Our very best wishes to you both

best of Madeira

We have visited Madeira in February 2014 and stayed in Villa Oceana and Villa Pontinha. The villas, the location and the service is absolutely sensational. You will see many tourists in the village en-charmed by the views the best of which is from Villa Pontinha. Rent this villa if you can afford. Villa Atlantica and Oceana are also superb. Satistaction guaranteed. It is a reasonable drive to Funchal courtesy of several tunnels. Some of the star levadas are also close, and the Nick Faldo golf course is soon opening nearby. Highly recommended.
