This 2 bedroom apartment is located on the first floor with stairs and 2 lifts. Just a few minutes away there are restaurants and bars, bakery, laundrette, fruit juice bar and other shops. You are about 5-10 minutes walk to the famous Funchal market and beach. There are 2 sunbeds on the balcony terrace for you to enjoy.

Parking is available in a secure car park for an additional charge of 10 euros per day. This is payable on arrival. There is also a 50 euro cleaning charge - also payable on arrival and an out of hours fee of 30 euros for arrivals between midnight and 6 in the morning.

Great stay in Funchal

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Joao’s apartment and thanks to Lucilia for meeting us on arrival and showing us around the facilities.The apartment is a large 2 bedroom unit located on the first floor above a small shopping centre on Rua Elias Garcia and is a really great location being only a few minutes walk to the main attractions.We can thoroughly recommend this apartment for its size, location and facilities!

Decent accommodation at a great location

The accommodation is decent and its location is quite convenient. Had everything we pretty much needed. There are some extra fees though which you only see once clicking the property description, hence why its listed for relatively cheap.

Comfortable stay

The apartment was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and white goods were all fine. Comfortable beds.Lovely views of Funchal from the balcony windows. Lucilia was very welcoming and friendly.

An amazing stay.

Great location and super host.We arrived late at night and met by Lucillia who was always available and attentive to our needs.Very accommodating in allowing us a late checkout.We stayed 4 weeks,the accommodation was brilliant, spacious,clean and comfortable,had everything we needed,a real home from home.

Even better than we thought

We loved Joao’s apartment, felt like home!

We love Joao’s apartment, it truly felt like home. There was ample amount of space, beautiful view and setting from balcony. Lucilia was very kind and easy to contact for check-in. Apartment is well located with many cafés and restaurants nearby to choose from. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again! Thank you Joao and Lucilia!

Good size apartment

We were welcomed by Lucilia who showed us the apartment and explained a few things. We enjoyed our time but I will state like alot of downtown locations there is the outdoor noise, dogs barking, motorcycles and noise from the downstairs cafe. Easy walk to the downtown core.

Great appartement

We had a wonderful time at the appartment! The location is very near the centre. Underneath is a little supermarket and across the street a bakery.The appartement is spacious and well equipped.Nice terras and 2 small balconys. Sun during most of the day.Funchal is a great city with a lot of great restaurants. We can definitely recommend this apartment, great value for a great price and great service from our host Lucilia! Fun

Handy location for visiting attractions in Funchel.

Location is good, lots of balcony room and sunny, only downside is that there are commercial businesses below the apartment they make a lot of noise putting out chairs and tables between 6-7am and again taking them in late. There is also a small bar with sports TV and a local bunch watching, smoking and talking loudly until quite late.

A fabulous apartment 10 minutes walk from the promenade.

We had an excellent stay in Funchal and enjoyed trips out to the island using local buses. Our host and hostess were very responsive, attentive and welcoming. The apartment is excellent. It's fully equiped, clean and close to the center. Everything you need is directly under the apartment building; a small supermarket with fresh produce. A small friendly local bar and a bread shop. We felt very safe at this accommodation and would highly recommend.

Great location

So easy to walk/bus to everywhere. Only a 10 minute walk to market. Spacious apartment, lovely to have balconies. Only communication problem was with directions upon arrival via bus, then walk. Once arrived, great communication. Only drawback to location is the street noise, and noise from cafe below apartment.

Great stay

It was located in an ideal location for us . The apartment was slightly elevated above the centre of funchal with a slight view of the sea . It was above a good small local grocery store , vegetable shop and a few bars with a panaderia across the road … excellent ! The apartment was well equipped with just about everything we needed and although we ate out at some of the local restaurants and cafes in Funchal it was great to relax and self cater in the apartment . I would recommend this apartment absolutely . Thank you to Lucilia who was responsive and attentive to us during our stay in her families apartment .

A very nice surprise on our vacations

We were surprised to discover just how central the location of this apartment was to the main area of Funchal. The apartment itself was very clean and the host was the nicest Madeiran we could happen to meet! She is a sweet lady! The apartment has a living/dining room quite big, the beds were very comfy and the kitchen had every tools we need to cook. I truly recommend this place if you want to be near the centre of Funchal. There is a mini-market bellow the apartment and supermarkets are also 5 to 10min walking. I am glad I chose this apartment for my vacations!

Very good choice.

We - a retired couple - spent a lovely week here. Our flight arrived late at night but Lucillia met us at the door and explained everything. The apartment was more than comfortable for the two of us. It’s an easy walk down to the action and a bit of a climb back but Madeira is all about the hills. We really enjoyed breakfast on one of our 3 decks. There is a small but well equipped grocery store, a produce store and 2 coffee bars downstairs and a bakery right across the street. The infrequent bus #42 drops you right at the door. When we weren’t up for the walk home and the bus wasn’t coming soon - Bolt was great. All in all - this apartment was a great find and offered excellent value

Great apartment

Check-in went smoothly despite the delayed flight. We were received very friendly and led directly to the garage with our rental car. The apartment is very spacious and fully equipped. The location is perfect. Under the apartment there is a small store and various other stores, such as a hairdresser and a cafe. Opposite you have a bakery and in addition also an ATM. Within walking distance you can go shopping even on Sundays at the Continente. The beach promenade and a shopping center are also not far away and easily accessible on foot. The communication with the owner was perfect and it was always responded very quickly and friendly. The noise from the street is of course audible due to the central location, but this was to be expected and perfectly fine. Thank you very much and see you next time.

Estancia en Funchal

La verdad es que nos sorprendió gratamente. Me gustóas que en las fotos y la zona está genial. Muy cerca del centro con varias cafeterías al pie del edificio donde desayunar o tomar algo. Tiene todos las s servicios que puedes necesitar cerca y la cafetería de enfrente hace unos pasteles de nata deliciosos!!La persona que nos recibió fue encantadora
