Wonderful Half-term

Beautiful property in a stunning location. The owner was on hand and lovely. Vrbo listing is inaccurate as states Polperro, Looe, however location is Portwrinkle. The owner does provide an accurate location before checking in however. Fantastic week in a beautiful location, will hopefully return one day.

We had a fantastic stay at this holiday house! The views are absolutely amazing – you can soak in the beauty of the sea from almost every angle. The house itself is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for the kids to play and relax. The master bedroom is stunning. We especially loved how easy it was to access the sea, the beach, and the coastal path – perfect for morning swims and scenic walks. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking to unwind by the coast in comfort.

Really nice property over three floors with all the facilities for a family stay.

Property was excellent and a great if you like peacecand quiet and need to chill and relax. Spacious property and a space or area for everyone in the property. Really good patio and hot tub area.

Fabulous home from home and better

This is a wonderful homely home for the family and the dogs loved it...we even met Ross Poldark while we were here. Amy the dog sitter was amazing and Georgie the chef from Padstow was "A" class and the in house massage and reflexology with the waves crashing outside was like a top class spa in itself! We have booked for next year already!

This is an amazing house with incredible views and a wonderful owner who goes the extra mile to be helpfull. Also a brilliant local team to help you with any problems or queries. To look at the coast every morning whatever the weather made my day.

Bec & Jools Wedding 2024

Our entire stay was fantastic, the home owner Suze was amazing in helping with our arrangements for our small wedding - private chef Adrian was superb, housekeepers were amazing at helping us understand how the house worked and also took in our shopping! We even managed a couple of dips in the very fresh sea to start the day! A magical break enjoyed by all.. We have recommended to several friends and family and will hopefully stay again soon.

Lovely stay enjoyed by all!

A well deserved break for the family after a stressful year... thoroughly enjoyed the house which was as beautiful as photos. Bubbles and cake were greatly appreciated on arrival. Sadly the weather wasn’t as good as could have been on this trip but it didn’t spoil the break. Had a couple minor hiccups while staying but were promptly dealt with by the caretaker. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again soon.

Stunning property and location

My partner and I stayed for a week with two of our friends, my daughter and her partner and their 3 month old. The property did not disappoint in the slightest and was true to the description and photographs. The champagne and gorgeous cake on arrival was a lovely touch and our first night on the terrace in the hot tub listening to the waves was a fantastic way to start the holiday. So much space, light and spectacular views. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend.

Great to be back!

We revisited the Beach House for another family celebration and were delighted to see that it was even better than before. The high quality of the fittings and fixtures had been well maintained and the additions of a pool table, new music system and option of an in house massage were all much appreciated. The space easily accommodated 8 adults and was a fantastic space to celebrate special occasions. As before, we enjoyed walks along the beach, the coastal path and up to the local pub for some great meals. A truly special property and hard to fault.

Beautiful home by the sea

Beautifully presented home, thoughtfully designed and maintained with love and care. Everything about it from the well appointed kitchen, to the stunning bathrooms was first class. Endless hot water, warm floors, books, games, music... everything has been thought of. I cooked for various family and friends and everything I needed was there. And then you have the views, the hot tub, the cliff walks and the brilliant Finnygook pub up the hill. We had the most amazing week in absolute comfort, not in a holiday house but someone's lovely home. Thank you to all involved for making my birthday so special.

Mixed feelings

The property does not disappoint, in fact there is everything there you need and the views are stunning. For us the huge disappointment was the location. Vrbo had it listed as Talland Bay, near Polperro which is the location we wanted. The owner did send me a confirmation back in February which had the “correct address” on it but I missed it - when everything else told me it was Talland Bay I believed we were going to this area! I don’t know why I called the owner a week before going, I just wanted an explanation or at a push an apology but was met with a very different response. I believe the location may have been corrected now on Vrbo’s website but just a heads up….Portwrinkle, albeit it peaceful, had nothing else to offer. The long and the short of it is, I would not have rented this property had I been aware of its true location.

Incredible views and gorgeous house

If you have found availability for this amazing house, I recommend you book right now, you won't regret it, this is much more stunning than the photos show, the main open plan living space is triple aspect and offers 180 degree views of the sea with no houses in front, just incredibly beautiful and therapeutic. We were blown away by the light in the main space too, sunrise AND sunsets! In addition the house is like our ideal home, full of colourful artwork, huge comfortable sofas, all the kitchen equipment we needed, a gorgeous master bedroom suite and a super cool basement games room, to which our teenagers adored. I do hope we will come back again, if it's not fully booked! Thank you lovely hosts Rod and Suze, the delicious welcome gifts were a lovely touch too!

A little piece of heaven

This is a fabulous house in a quiet unspoilt part of Cornwall. We were a 3 generation family from the ages of 5 to 65 and everyone absolutely loved it here. From the hot tub on the terrace with superb sea views to the calmness and comfort of this lovely home. The name 'Buddha Beach House' really suits the property and we found it to match the description given 100%. There are some beautiful and quirky pieces of art all over the house for all to enjoy which we found exceptional as lots of holiday homes are usually very minimalistic. The beach was literally a few steps away and our grandchildren loved searching the rock pools for wildlife. There was so much excitement when they found a large starfish. This house has a definite home from home feel and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. The owners were really swift with their responses throughout. The only negative we can give about this whole holiday is NOT to visit The Inn on the Shore in Downderry. (2hr wait for food!) There were tears from our granddaughter on leaving so I'm pretty sure we'll be going back again to enjoy this peaceful, tranquil house and location.

What a great place to stay!

We had an amazing time here and would not hesitate to go back. Great location and very comfortable. There are so many interesting things to look at in the house and it is well laid out for different age groups. A big thumbs up for Buddha Beach House. :)

5* Luxury at is best.....

When receiving a chance email regarding the availability of this property, a glance at the reviews suggested this was something special. One review advising that if you ever get the opportunity to book (as availability can be challenging); jump on the opportunity - how true this was! The attention to detail is second to none, and you can sense the love, thought, and care that has gone into this property from the moment you walk through the door - no expense has been spared! There is something for everyone regardless of age and it is most definately a price worth paying. The underground parking was a challenge to start, but this property has the best parking space to get in and out. 4x4's fit at a push, but not with a roof box. Thankfully a handy spot opposite the entrance to unload and remove the box, then plenty of space to store during your stay. One piece of advice I would give is to arrange for an online shopping delivery on your day of arrival, AND pay the £15 to have this brought up and put away before you arrive. It will make for a happier less stressful arrival and first day. The hosts Rod and Suze are lovely and very considerate to do all they can to ensure you enjoy your stay. Thank you for making a perfect first Staycation.

Girls trip

I came to stay here with 9 of my friends as an annual reunion and it was perfect! From the check-in to check out it was all perfect. The house had everything we needed we barely left all weekend. Thanks a lot for a wonderful stay we will definitely be returning!

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Bunk bed room is very tight but it’s ok for children.

The view from the property is unbelievable. It can do with some DIY and some modernisation. That could put property on 5 fiver ratings for me. It just need little care. Overall it’s good property you will Not get better views in Cornwall than this property has. Hot tub is divine and balcony is unforgettable.

Stunning!

We chose this as the location for my hen weekend, ages ranged from 29 to 63. We were so pleased we did. The house is beautifully decorated, and has everything you could need. The welcome bottle of champagne, cake and biscuits were very much appreciated. The views from the terrace were breathtaking, and the hot tub was just what we needed. The house was immaculate. We wanted somewhere to relax, eat, drink and talk, and that was exactly what we got. We're already trying to fit another weekend in next year! Thank you!

Amazing!

Could not recommend Buddha Beach House enough!! Location was excellent, house was beyond amazing and VERY luxurious. The space in the house is great and suitable for EVERYONE! Hot tub was to die for. Dave (the maintenance guy) was very helpful and nothing seemed to be a problem for him. Rod & Suze were both very helpful with any questions we had before and even after our visit. We stayed at Buddha Beach House for my mum's 50th Birthday - she had an absolute amazing time and it was more then she could have asked for! Georgie (the private chef) was incredible, very bubbly and happy! Hopefully we will back to enjoy the house again very soon!!

A beautiful property in a wonderful location

Three generations of our family stayed at this property to celebrate a landmark birthday . We can not recommend too highly this stunning property. It offers so much with wonderful views of the ocean, yards from the beach and a fabulous design with lovely art and decor, So much attention to detail and thought has gone into the design and furnishing of this property. We had a fantastic stay with plenty of lovely places to visit , good cycle rides and very good restaurants close by. None of us can wait to visit again!

Beachside Peace & Perfection

We had an incredible stay at Buddha Beach House. The house itself was perfect - the sociable layout makes the most of the incredible views, with open space for everyone to be together, inside and out. We made good use of the hot tub, played all the games, lounged by the fire and had a great time cooking in the kitchen and on the barbecue. It was total bliss. The beds were all very comfy - even the bunks! The bathrooms were luxurious and all the extra touches were of the highest quality. We appreciated the underground parking, making it easy to unload with heaps of stuff. The location was astounding - right on the beach, with massive views out to sea and surrounding countryside. It was quiet, but not isolating, with quick access to the main roads. We were very very lucky with the weather, which was utterly glorious, but I'm sure we would have had an equally nice time had it been less lovely.
