Casa de 3 habitaciones recientemente redecoradas, 1 cuarto de baño y 1 estudio habitación independiente, 1 cuarto de ducha/sanitario en la planta baja, genial para amigos, niños o miembros de la familia que deseen tener privacidad pero compartir las vacaciones. 1 cocina, 1 salón de estar y 1 terraza con vista al sur con vistas agradables del castillo. Las terrazas y el jardín le permitirán disfrutar de comidas al aire libre, desde el desayuno hasta el aperitivo y una barbacoa. A sólo 3 minutos de las tiendas, panaderías, pescaderos, tienda, supermercado, cafeterías, bares y restaurantes. Hay varias playas en Barfleur y a lo largo de la costa. Ideal para caminar, ciclismo, jugar golf y/o hacer equitación en sus vacaciones. Al estar en la península el micro clima le ofrece vegetación exótica, clima templado y siempre tendrá una playa cerca. La región es famosa por sus deliciosos mejillones, ostras, cangrejos, langostas y sus vegetales orgánicos, el camembert, la cidra y el Calvados.

Comfortable and amazingly spacious

There were 4 generations in our group of 7 including 2and 4 year old girls and this house was perfect for our stay in every way. The description of the house in the listing was 100% accurate and the contact with the owner on numerous occasions was dealt with superbly. Barfleur was an extremely attractive location to stay within easy walking from the house to all the facilities you could want. It is very accessible to main routes to get easily to local attractions particularly the D Day beaches and museums and only 1.5 hour drive to Mont Saint Michel which is a must to visit. We would thoroughly recommend to our friends and relatives large or small numbers.

Lovely, comfortable house.

A lovely house with plenty of space. The conservatory is the star of the show, a great place to eat, play games and watch storms. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen has so much equipment. The furniture in the front garden was lovely for enjoying the few sunny days that we had and there were plenty of books to read. The house was well situated for popping to the local bars and visiting the lovely beaches and we never had a problem with noise from the road. The dogs enjoyed going in the sea at least twice every day so thanks to the host for accomodating them. All in all, a great place to stay, hopefully we won't leave it 11 years to come back next time.

Great base of operation for Normandy

Overall a great place to stay for the family. House has all the amenities needed and is in a good location in a cute fishing village. The Carrefour nearby is super convenient. The harbor and the hidden beach are beautiful. The restaurants in town served tasty food if you can figure out when they are open and then get a table. The sun room with the outdoor living area attached make the place in the warm weather. The option for English or French TV was a nice amenity. The payment via wire from the US takes a bit of effort but worth it. Improvements that would be useful are new couches in the living room and a new mattress in the upstairs bedroom.

Ein nettes, zweckmäßiges Haus für uns optimal mit eingezäuntem Hof/ Garten für die Hunde. Schön ist besonders die zentrale Lage in Barfleur. dafür ist es nicht so ruhig wegen des Verkehrs an der Hauptstraße, aber nachts schläft zum Glück alles, auch der Verkehr. Der neue große Kühlschrank ist fantastisch. Der Wintergarten mit dem Tisch ist ein toller Ort. Es könnte etwas sauberer sein und die sanitären Anlagen, insbesondere die Toiletten sind doch arg in die Jahre gekommen und entsprechend mitgenommen. Insgesamt waren wir aber sehr zufrieden.

Décue par l'emplacement de la maison beaucoup trop buyantte

Le point positif a été l'accueil à notre arrivée ainsi que la véranda de la maison, spacieuse, claire et bien exposée. Le gros point négatif en ce qui me concerne : LE BRUIT La maison est située devant une route hyper passagère (route de Valognes)......donc pas propice au repos sauf la nuit où le trafic est néant.

idéalement située à proximité du port et du marché, une belle maison à l'ambiance britannique, très bien équipée, avec une véranda à vivre très ensoleillée et un jardin. nous avons passé un week-end prolongé très agréable en famille

Belle maison spacieuse et proche de tout

Maison très agréable, qui garde la fraicheur, juste un peu sombre à l'intérieur, mais heureusement la véranda est très pratique et lumineuse. Le salon est cocooning avec les tapis, canapés et fauteuils. Maison bien équipée. Jardin fleuri et bien clos, ce qui est important quand on emmène comme moi ses petits chiens. Nombreux commerces à proximité, donc pas besoin de sortir la voiture tout le temps. Le port de Barfleur est à 5mn à pieds. Superbe ! La région est magnifique et ses habitants adorables. Merci Louly de nous avoir permis de passer 3 semaines de pur bonheur...

Grande maison, confortable, propre, équipée de tout ce qu'il fallait et bien située dans le village. Chambre en bas particulièrement appréciée pour gérer mon chien. Propriétaire très gentille et réactive. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour !

Vacances à Barfleur

Malgré beaucoup de déboires : à l'arrivée impossible d'allumer le chauffage, au bout de 4 heures nous avons enfin trouvé le mode d'emploi qui n'était pas mis en évidence... au moment de préparer le repas il s'est avéré que la bonbonne de gaz était vide...(soit il y en avait une de rechange...) fuite d'eau dans la cuisine provenant de la salle de bain à l'étage, le lendemain matin fuite d'eau de l'évier dans la cuisine ( il y avait une bassine sous l'évier pour récupérer l'eau mais ne le sachant pas elle a fini par déborder...) et petit détail en plus le grille pain fait sauter les plombs... La propriétaire, au vue de tous ces problèmes nous a fait cadeau du montant du chauffage (soit dit en passant me semble très excessif .. ) et le prix de la femme de ménage, et nous la remercions de son geste. A part cela nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Barfleur et avons bien l'intention d'y retourner

Une maison très bien placée avec tous ce qu il faut pour passer un agréable séjour. Une propriétaire extrêmement aimable et à l écoute. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir dans ce havre de paix .

Charmantes Ferienhaus in wunderschönem Dorf

Barfleur ist ein wunderschönes Dorf mit kleinen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und einem interessanten Hafen. Das Haus ist großzügig, die Räume verwinkelt und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Wintergarten ist grandios und aufgrund des großen Tisches für Gruppen oder große Familien einfach nur schön. Negativ war allerdings die sehr späte Übernahme des Hauses erst um 18:00 Uhr, obwohl 16:00 Uhr vereinbart war. Leider waren auch die 4 vorhandenen Fahrräder unbrauchbar.

Maison agréable mais lits inconfortables

Maison très agréable pour des vacances en famille, accueil charmant de la personne responsable. Un gros bémol cependant : la largeur des lits "doubles": 1,20m et de vieux matelas à ressorts particulièrement inconfortables, cela dans la chambre du rez-de- chaussée et une des chambres à l'étage; mon mari et moi n'avons pas pu dormir ensemble

Great base for exploring Barfleur

We have just enjoyed our second trip to this house. It is a great base for exploring Barfleur and the wider Normandy region. Louly is highly responsive and very helpful. We took a lot of her advice in picking beaches, restaurants and things to do and really benefitted from it. Our group had Grandparents as well as us, our children and one of their friends. The house worked really well for the group particularly as there is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom slightly away from the centre of activities. The house is about 200 metres from the charming centre of Barfleur with its harbour, cafes etc. We liked this proximity but also the fact that you can cycle or drive to quiet excellent beaches in 5 to 10 minutes.

Barfleur est un joli village qui vit au rythme des marées ! Tout le pittoresque de la Manche !!!

La maison est très bien située à 500m du port et avec toutes les commodités et commerces proches ! C’ est une location accueillante avec ses neufs couchages et agréable. La véranda est un vrai plus pours les séjours hors saison.

Excellent house in great location

We had a lovely holiday in this welcoming and comfortable house. It is well equipped and was very clean, the electrical items were very good. There were plenty of books and videos for all ages if the weather had misbehaved, but we were incredibly lucky and had four fantastic hot and sunny days during our week in Barfleur. We were delighted with the location, Barfleur is a charming fishing village with many beautiful sandy beaches nearby, the nicest beaches I’ve seen in years, and deserted by English standards. It is very convenient for anyone wishing to visit the D Day landing sites. We loved visiting Tatihou island from nearby St Vaast la Hougue and the Saturday market there was fantastic. The children had a fabulous time on the lovely beaches and a great day at the Cité de la Mer in nearby Cherbourg. The patisseries in Barfleur were wonderful and much appreciated. There is a Carrefour nearby. We were a family of six, including boys aged 6 and 11 years, and 2 grandparents and we all had a great holiday.

Well equipped, charming house

This house is in a very good town with a harbour.the facilities and layout are excellent , ideal for our family of two grandparents two adults and two teenagers. Boulangeries shops and restaurants are all within walkable distance. It is a charming home with everything we needed and a lovely conservatory with day bed. Unspoilt beaches, vide greniers( empty attics or boot sales) cite de la mer have made this a great family holiday and we would recommend it to anybody.

Perfect for Combined Family Holidays. Sleeps 8 adults comfortably, 9 if a child. Private bedroom and shower room downstairs. It has its own secluded and gated driveway, private back and front garden.

The supermarket is just a couple of minutes' stroll away including the bank and an ATM. All bars, restaurants and shops are situated a short stroll along our road.

The property is very well equipped and is a 'home from home'. The location is perfectly situated for all amenities, the beaches, lovely walks and cycle routes. It is perfect for exploring the landing beaches and is steeped in history all around.

There is a diving and school situated within the village.

Mont St Michel is only 116 km away.
