Este es un granero convertido de 3 dormitorios y 2 baños escondido en un camino rural tranquilo, pero con fácil acceso a muchas atracciones turísticas. Recientemente ampliado, completamente modernizado y renovado, podrá dormir cómodamente seis. Arriba hay una gran habitación doble con armario empotrado y armario empotrado, una habitación doble y un baño con ducha integrada sobre la bañera. En la planta baja hay otra habitación doble, cuarto de baño con inodoro y lavabo, una cocina luminosa con horno, vitrocerámica, microondas y lavadora. Hay una gran sala de estar y comedor con TV, reproductor de DVD, juegos y libros. El granero está orientado al sur, pero para clima más frío hay calefacción por suelo radiante en la planta baja y radiadores de gas en la planta superior. ¡Hay agua caliente ilimitada! Está en una ubicación muy tranquila con acceso a un gran jardín privado y bosques y a pocos pasos de paseos por el campo. Los huéspedes pueden pasear por los jardines, pero también tienen su propia zona de estar. ¡Le recomendamos que inspeccione el huerto y se ayude con cualquier cosa que esté madura (dependiendo de las estaciones)! Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Cranbrook y Tonbridge están a menos de media hora en coche y hay una gran cantidad de sitios históricos y jardines famosos de fácil acceso, incluido Sissinghurst. Eurotunnel está a menos de una hora si te apetece un viaje de un día al continente.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Kent. Local places of interest such as Leeds Castle, Hever Castle and Chatham Docks are within easy reach. The location is very rural and quiet. Well equipped kitchen for home cooking - we arranged an online grocery delivery which worked well. The house is warm and cosy and very clean. Liz and Paul were friendly and helpful hosts.One of our group has limited mobility so the downstairs bedroom and bathroom were useful. There is plenty of outside space for kids to play in. All in all this was a great place to stay.

Idyllic setting in the Kent countryside

I can thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay. Liz and Paul are the perfect hosts. We were made to feel very welcome. The barn is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Very nice property, top marks

Comfortable, well equipped and spacious 3 bedroom cottage in a lovely part of the Kent countryside. The owners made us very welcome and have obviously spent a lot of time and care in maintaining the property. Would happily stay again, and can definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage next door to owners own lovely home. Hosts were very helpful but left us to it. Cottage was more than big enough with amazing showers. Area quiet. Perfect if you wanted to take a dog as tiled floor downstairs. Thank you Liz for great stay

Wonderful stay

We spent 2 weeks here, in what turned out to be a perfect base for visiting family and many of the beautiful places in Kent. The cottage was cosy, clean and comfortable with everything we needed and in a lovely, quiet location. The children loved playing in the woods. Thank you Liz and Paul for being such attentive hosts, from the initial booking and right through our stay.

What a perfect and calm location

With great equipped kitchen and living room and a huge lovely garden to sit outside. in the environment we found nice footpaths Best of all were the very friendly and helpful owners who enabled a good recreation for us. thank to them for every thing we will come back

Quiet, delightful, hideaway property

Comfortable, clean and well-equipped barn conversion next to the owner’s property in a large acreage. Wonderful garden with chickens, veg patch and woods to explore. A Great Adventure for supervised children to enjoy. Very hospitable owners. Highly recommended.

Perfect place

Our stay was so much better than expected! A cosy retreat, perfectly well-equipped. Many sights we wanted to visit were within a 30 to 45 minute driving distance. Liz and Paul are the nicest hosts - what more can you ask for for a week in lovely Kent! Thank you so much, Liz and Paul!

Summer holidays in Kent

We had a lovely time and were made to feel very welcome. Being able to pick fruit and wander in the woods was a bonus and made our little girl happy. The cottage was a perfect base for visiting various parts of Kent including Canterbury and Leeds Castle. Even the rain didn't ruin our stay. Thank you!

Lovely Barn!!!

It was such a wonderful and peaceful place to stay! Lovely setting and surroundings. Beautiful barn and very comfortable. And the hosts go out of their way to help you in all your needs. The barn has all the utilities you need and more. If possible I would surely come back. Coming from the mainland it is only a one hour drive from the Eurotunnel and you arrive in beautiful Kent. In one word Perfect!

Lovely Kentish property!

We had a wonderful stay at this Kentish property! We enjoyed walking around the several acres, and sitting near the apple orchard. Liz was kind enough to share her vegetable garden with us so we had fresh tomatoes and peppers in our salad. It was also very handy to have two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, the latter of which had accommodations to assist my elderly father. Thanks Liz!! Would definitely visit you again!

Rural Tranquility

What a beautiful property! Tastfully decorated, lovely comfortable beds and excellent showers! Downstairs bedroom was just right for my 90 year old Mum, with shower room and toilet just next door. Two bedrooms upstairs were roomy with beautiful views. Underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs kept the cottage super cosy and warm. Really well equipped kichen with dishwasher, washing machine (i think) and plenty of crockery, glasses etc. Lovely rural position in beautiful grounds. Liz and Paul were excellent hosts. We had a super time.

Some time away from it all

Just what we needed. A comfortable place with everything you need for a quiet stay in the country. We had several pleasant, interesting chats with our hosts but it was clear they never wanted to feel intrusive. A bit off the beaten track as pretty much everywhere is at least a twenty minute drive. Beware: the local roads have plenty of potholes. And then there's Elvis, the very friendly black Labrador. Definitely coming back if circumstances allow.

A perfect stay

You can just relax in this cozy barn. The kitchen was very well organised. We enjoyed ten days with tips from Liz and Paul to get around. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We loved the garden and the surprises in the barn. Just marvellous. Early in the mornings and late in the afternoon you can watch some rabbits. We didn’t need the books or the TV - but it would have been great options. Liz made sure everyone of us was happy and had everything. A perfect holiday. Thank you.

They were a particularly lovely family, full of enthusiasm for pretty much everything (except rush hour in Maidstone!) and were a joy to host. The children loved playing with Elvis! They left the Barn immaculate (even wiped the dining table which is often forgotten!) and we would recommend them to any other host. We would also welcome them back here with big smiles!

The Simmonds family have lived at Den Farm Oast (next to the Barn) for 20+ years. We thoroughly enjoy meeting and greeting people from all over the world and helping guests make the most of their time in Kent. We are very relaxed about sharing our grounds and facilities with visitors and have many repeat visitors including regular ones from Australia and Germany. We have a very kind & friendly black Labrador called Elvis who adores meeting people and is very good with nervous people. We respect the fact not all people are doggy people but please respect the fact this this is his home & he will spend time outdoors! There is usually somebody at home to answer any questions guests might have. We have tried to make the Barn as comfortable as possible and take pride in its appearance. Having experienced a few dodgy self-catering holidays we know what we would like (or not like) to find in a holiday home inc. a comfortable bed(!), plenty of crockery, a dishwasher so you're not always washing up, good cooking facilities and a decent shower and bath to name a few!

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We fell in love with the property as we came up the drive. It is peaceful but not too remote, close enough to all the facilities but with plenty of space and virtually no traffic except the very occasional car or tractor. Our home, Den Farm Oast, consists of part of a barn, 1 round roundel and one square roundel. The kitchen is round as is the master bedroom! The property is surrounded by orchards (beautiful in the spring) and hop fields. It is rural but so easy to get to towns either by car, bus or train. London is only about 50 mins away by train. The neighbours are all friendly, it is safe for children and great for walking and cycling. What more could we ask for! Den Farm Oast Barn is close by but detached. You have the choice of relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet or hopping in your car and visiting one of the many famous sites around here including the Hop Farm at Beltring, Sissinghurst Gardens, Leeds Castle, Bedgebury Pinetum & Scotney Castle to name a few. A day trip to France is also easy to organise!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We have received many compliments over the years but the majority have been about the peace and comfort of the Barn, the warm welcome visitors receive from the Simmonds, the pick and eat invitation as well as its close proximity to so many wonderful sights. The number of repeat visitors is a testimony to how hard we try to make this a memorable visit for everybody! There are many lanes here for cycling and footpaths for exploring so plenty to do literally on your doorstep. This location is wonderful - in the middle of the countryside but very close to lots of famous sites and main line stations if you fancy a trip up to London.
