Firstly, we would like to take this opportunity to apologise for your disappointing experience in our cottage. We are a small family run business and take great pride in our two cottages we offer for rental.. As we do not stay local to the property, we employ the services of a local couple to carry out the housekeeping duties on our cottage and they have done this to a very high standard over the past seven years. Therefore it is extremely disheartening to hear that our property was not up to our usual standards, in terms of cleanliness. It is all the more disappointing on this occasion, because we have received previous reviews online and in our guest book, praising the cleanliness and presentation of our cottage. This is something we will address as a matter of urgency. As far as the main bathroom is concerned, we would thank you for bringing to our attention these issues, as we were unaware of them. We will address these as a matter of urgency. With regards to the bedlinen, we have four changes of linen for every bedroom which are freshly laundered at every changeover. We have supplied pillow protectors for every room and are surprised to find they were not in the main bedroom. This must have been an oversight. The duvets are all quality goose feather and are replaced every year. We do not supply or advertise a welcome pack. There is a shop next door to the cottage which stocks general provisions. If any of our guests are arriving late and request some provisions, we would happily sort this out. We have recently changed over from Sky WIFI to BT WIFI and unfortunately we have not managed to the cottage to change the information in the Welcome Folder. As far as the carpets are concerned, we have made our cottage as child and pet friendly as possible and due to this, our floor coverings perhaps will take a bit of punishment. I have arranged to go to our cottage to meet with our housekeepers and look at the issues you have raised. Kind regards Ian and Gillian
