A wonderful spring in this warm house

No swimmning....not a problem, plenty of good cooking and excellent restaurants to discover, plenty of walks (and runs and rides), and markets without the 100's of tourists. Enbosc, with its open fire, floor heating, evenings with family and friends has been a haven of peace to us.

An amazing house, with a beautiful sunset

The beautifully equipped house is a perfect hideaway off the beaten track. The house is large enough to hold a big group, yet retains a priceless charm. The big pool was an oasis during a very hot week in the Gers - many hours were spent reading on the lilo and enjoying the peace and quiet. Whilst rural, En Bosc is very close to a St Clar and its restaurants, supermarket and chemist as well as close enough to the larger towns of Fleurance and Lectoure to enjoy their weekly markets. Can't wait to return.

A spacious property with plenty of room for our large family, overlooking beautiful countryside.

The property was very much as described, we were pleasantly surprised but how much space there was in the reception rooms and the bedrooms were well laid out with good bathrooms. The caretaker was there when we needed him to repair the oven and provide extra linen. The pool was a good size and sparkling, well maintained by a contractor. We would go again and recommend the house to others. Around and about, we enjoyed the public dinners in the square in Saint Clar provided by local producers and shopping in Lectoure was very appealing. The countryside with its 'Bastides' and well maintained farms is a delight.

Dear Charles and family, We have just visited Enbosc to ready the house for the season. (Easter is such a wonderful time of he year) You will be glad to know that the kitchen will have a professional showpiece oven / cooker to explore your cooking talents without reservations. ( 2 ovens, grill, plate warmer and 8 gass points). You could also consider a cold season booking, as the house has added a large wood stove in the Salon Ete. Hope to see you again, Hans & Pascale

Wonderful accommodation for a group of friends

Perfect place to rest and enjoy with your friends and family. Accommodation is slightly remote, but surroundings are beautiful. Would definitely stay again

Relaxed and reloaded

We had an amazing time in Mauroux! A beautiful accomodation in a super location. Really enjoyed the hikes, sunset dinners and especially the 360 view of the gers. Spotted many deer, boars, foxes and even a badger. Highly recommended to families to relax or climbers willing to make use of the 50 private climbing routes in the backyard.

Bliss and Peace

From driving up to Enbosc in beautiful sunshine to leaving two weeks later we were spoilt: wonderful house and pool and space inside and out; everything you could want; stunning bastides within 15 km, choice of excellent food and wine; St Clar,what a star this town is; great early morning walks from Enbosc, all about 8km; the near proximity of Auch,Laverdins,Condom,Fources,Larresingle; and always returning to the peace and beauty of Enbosc. A great treat; should have stayed three weeks and lovely weather,few tourists and marvellous and courteous French people wherever we went. The Elder crowd.

Perfect, secluded house in beautiful location

Very warm welcome on arrival. Everything was very well explained. House was very well equipped for a large party. Swimming pool is large, beautifully located and sunny throughout the day. Great panoramic views of surrounding countryside during the day and stars at night. We loved the swallows diving over the pool in the early morning and late evening. Great terrace with huge table for family meals. Very good facilities nearby, golf 20 mins away, lake with aquasports 15 mins away, shops 10 mins away. Saint Clar is a beautiful, unspoilt village 10 mins away. Overall a magical holiday.

Beautiful house and setting

En Bosc has been truly wonderful, the house is spacious and full of character. The setting is exquisite, peaceful and an ideal holiday retreat. The pool is lovely, with comfy loungers and areas of shade. St Clar is 10 minutes in the car and offers everything you might need. The house is very well equipped especially where catering is concerned, the new oven is fabulous! We would love to return one day. Thank you!

Spring time probably is the best season: crisp, clean, cosy

A family reunion in a budding landscape enjoying the fields and garden turning green and snapping up the sun. A large safe fireplace was installed giving us round the clock warmth and a cosy place to gather. When we return this summer there will be a 2 oven, 1 grill, 8 gas points classic cooker (can't wait) and we spotted the great new large shaded area in front of the pool. Enbosc remains our favourite destination year on year.

Stunning location, perfect for young families, friendly owners

I have travelled to this region of France at least once a year for the last 18 years. This property by far, is the most beautiful. The architecture is an eclectic mix of Balinese minimalism, rustic French countryside and the covenience of modernism. The location is unbeatable with 360 hilltop views stretching hundreds of kilometers. The pool is perched on a hill side and if you wake up for an early morning swim you'll see the light deflect in bright pink on the Pyrenees, some 200 km away. The region is famous for its fine spirits, wine, cheeses, fruits, seafood (!), duck and of course - foie gras! So foodies from all backgrounds will be thoroughly spoiled. Meanwhile, I'm always surrounded by friends, family and kids. One of the beauties of this place is that I can just let them do their own thing. Everyone has an entertainment opportunity. For young kids, the surrounding lands and forest (owned by the estate) provide an opportunity for exploration I was never afforded in my youth. It turns out that within the forests of Enbosc resides one of the most famous bouldering walls in France. So amateur or experienced rock climbers will surely love this aspect of the house. Overall I couldn't recommend this experience more, I have been time and time and will be there if you don't book it!

Beautiful home in fabulous setting

A very beautifully furnished and finished house in the northern Gers. Accommodated 11 of us (2 families) happily. We particularly enjoyed the outside terrace which was perfect for sharing meals and watching some amazing sunsets (and the occasional electric storm!). The pool was a good size and was enjoyed by all but sadly lacked any shade around it (and the parasols wouldn't keep still in the breeze) so it was not always comfortable to sit around the pool for long. However small niggle with a lovley house. Owners and caretaker were extremely helpful and accommodating. Definitely recommend.

Great Gascon farmhouse

We stayed at En Bosc in June / July 2016. We went with a number of friends and had a total of 8 adults and 6 children. We had a great time there. The villa was very secluded and private. It was around a 10 minute drive to the nearest town (Saint Clar), which had nearly everything we needed. The house was very spacious - the bedrooms (and beds) were all big and the house fitted our party well. The swimming pool was big and kept very clean - a bit chilly at the start but pretty warm by the end and good for the kids as it had steps in the shallow end. We visited a lot of the surrounding towns and tried lots of different wine. The kitchen was well equipped and big with a separate dining room and a large west facing veranda. We ate in every night and got a great view of the sunset every evening. I'd certainly go again if I was in that part of France.

The Gers (Gascony) is truly the "Tuscany of France".

We are in love with the culture, the hospitality, the people, the villages, the history, the always-fresh French country cuisine. It is easy to make local friends and our French neighbours are welcoming and helpful.

The house overlooks the regions's stunning countryside. At the same time its location feels absolutely private.

Access to Jazz in Marciac, skiing the in Pyrenees or adventure walks are within reach.

Our children felt immediately at home, in particularly after they discovered the forest at the bottom of our land.

Enbosc - with its kitchen wild herb garden, fruit trees and expansive grounds, forest and private access road - is truly a place to recharge, enjoy quality personal time and to catch up with friends and family.

Enbosc has been converted to create an huge interior with lots of space for getting together or finding a quiet corner. With "terrasses" all around, each with their own ambiance, the South terrace attached to the kitchen allowing you to gather whilst cooking and baking. The West terrace is often the heart of everyone's Summer stay - a perfect place for outdoor dining: breakfast under the cool of the cover, lunches with laughter at the long table and long drawn out dinners while the children play on the lawn and stunning sunsets become incredible starlit skies - unlikely that you will be returning home without having wished upon a shooting star.

The villa is very spacious with high ceilings. A wide choice of rooms and terraces offer opportunities to gather with others, relax and read, work from home, cook, listen to music, play board games, or simply snooze away your stress. Plenty of personal space ensures that no one gets in someone else's way.

For rentals in the colder months, and upon prior request, there is floor heating and a wood stove - in such case, additional heating charges apply.

The centre of activity is the stunning West terrace with its large Balinese table seating 14, for delightful al-fresco dining. This part of the house is simply made for celebrating family and friendships and life's many milestones. The sunsets are just incredible - perhaps some of the best that you will ever enjoy.
