Rothbury Coach House es una extensión reciente de Rothbury, construida en el sitio de la casa de Coach original que se eliminó hace mucho tiempo. The Coach House tiene su propia entrada separada de la casa principal que conduce a una escalera que da acceso al apartamento. Ofrece una gran habitación doble con cuarto de baño con ducha, inodoro, etc. Hay una sala de estar y cocina totalmente equipada. Está ubicado en amplios jardines privados con un gran disco que ofrece un amplio estacionamiento. Ubicado en Cusop, la parte inglesa de la ciudad fronteriza de Hay on Wye.

Beautiful property - an absolute gem!

We had a wonderful stay at Rothbury for our 25th Anniversary. The apartment was simply stunning and the pictures don't do it justice. It was immaculate and well stocked, and the communication from Jan was top class. It is a 10-15 min stroll from the centre of Hay and perfect for anyone who wants to visit this beautiful town. I can't recommend it highly enough and we certainly be back.

Lovely cottage close to town

We had a wonderful stay at Rothbury when visiting Hay for a friends wedding. We had our 5 month old baby with us and the annexe was the perfect size for us all. Jan had very thoughtfully offered us the use of a baby bath, which helped hugely. It was just a short 15 minute walk into Hay but it was equally lovely to sit out on the balcony and just relax with the wonderful views of the countryside! We would highly recommend to stay here.

Tranquil luxury

My stay was amazing. It’s a beautiful apartment, super clean, with so many touches to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Andrew and Jan are amazing hosts. The location is beautiful and quiet. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. Enjoy!

Fantastic Apartment!

The coach house is a wonderful place to stay and we would highly recommend it. It's a short walk across the fields or via the roads to the centre of Hay. The hosts are fabulous. I can't think of anything negative to say about this apartment.

Spectacular views!

Lovely clean and comfortable flat. The views are outstanding! Easy walk across fields to Hay town with lovely shops and places to eat. For longer stays, there are plenty of places to visit within a few miles.

Beautiful pied-à-terre with all modern conveniences stunning views and surroundings. Very relaxed atmosphere Ten minutes walk from Hay on wye and close to lots of pretty villages and towns.

Happy in Hay

We arrived in the sunshine, our host greeted us and left us to settle in. The easy walk to town was literally written on postcard and took us on a lovely wander to Hay on Wye. So many books so little time! This is a perfect place to stay. We also walked along the riverside and had a fabulous Tapas meal at Tomatitos in town. Everyone is so friendly and lots of great independent shops. The apartment is excellently appointed with lots of special touches. Thank you Jan and Andrew for a very special stay.

Relaxing return to Rothbury

We always enjoy coming back to Rothbury as we know that we will have a lovely place to stay which is clean, comfortable and has everything we need and more. The situation is ideal for us, a short walk into Hay and more importantly not too far to walk back laden with books! Plenty of nice places to walk either from the doorstep, or after a short drive and fantastic scenery too. Jan and Andrew are excellent hosts although we obviously avoided contact with them this time to keep us all safe. Even the weather was perfect this time: not too hot, but warm and sunny with no rain or wind. We hope to return again, as it is always a place we really enjoy very much. Thank you once again for letting us stay with you.

Lovely relaxing weekend away

A beautiful accommodation, lovely views, great location, everything was clean and had everything we needed. Great walks. A short walk in to the town. Loved reading the history in the folder at the accommodation. Lot's of places to eat and drink. Jan and Andrew were very welcoming. We would love to go back.

Beautiful place to stay for a leisurely break.

Staying at Rothbury was an absolute delight. The apartment had everything we required and the attention to detail was second to none. It was immaculately clean throughout. The hosts were warm & welcoming. We were made to feel thoroughly at home. I would recommend this lovely apartment in it’s stunning location to everyone….we would love to return at some time in the future.

Cussop near Hay on Wye

A self contained annex part of a well known local house "Rothbury" ... both properties immaculate.. A short 10 minute walk into Hay or an ideal starting point for Herefordshire and the Brecons.... Everything you required to make your stay perfect was ready waiting - tea , coffee , kitchen roll - toiletries - fresh flowers - beautifully furnished - plenty of guides and useful local information created by Jan and Andrew... although with covid some of the information will be out of date ... suggest booking the best restaurants early... if your a walker it is a great location...but would recommend to anyone... Hay on Wye a great place..

Perfect for a stay in Hay-on-Wye

Lovely accommodation and location, perfect for Hay-on-Wye and trawling through book shops. Jan and Andrew were friendly and welcoming. I would look to stay there again and will be recommending it to friends looking to visit Hay-on-Wye.

A great place to stay!

This is a lovely apartment, in a very quiet area with wonderful walks right from the door. The lounge is warm and comfortable with a beautiful view from the window at the back. The kitchen has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable, and it is quiet and peaceful at night, so absolutely no complaints. Lovely hosts. I don’t have a car and for me, it was ideal for a walking holiday and for visiting the bookshops and independent shops in Hay.

Couldn't recommend it highly enough. Beautiful countryside and beautiful apartment!

Loved our stay and hope to return again next year! Lots of beautiful countryside with plenty of walks to suit all abilities. Right on the doorstep of Hay, a lovely book town.

Schöner Kurzaufenthalt

Sehr große Wohnung im Obergeschoss. Komplette Kücheneinrichtung. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Bis in den Ort Hey on Way 20 Minuten Fußweg. Nette Vermieter- Danke. Wir waren nur 4 Nächte, haben aber dank Mietwagen viel erlebt.

Lovely weekend

Booked last minute and everything was simple. Jan replied quickly to my query. The coach house apartment is perfect for 2 people and 2 dogs. Everything you need is provided and there are lovely finishing touches. Beautiful gardens and a lovely view from the sitting room window. Highly recommend

We are both originally from the north of England. We moved here from Derbyshire over thirty years ago when Andrew was offered a job in Hay on Wye. Many years ago we started doing B&B during the Hay Literary Festival which we enjoyed. After taking early retirement we started doing B&B full time and also offering self-catering in the apartment. During this time we really enjoyed meeting a fantastic range of guests visiting Hay from all over the world. Now with commitments to Grandchildren amongst other things we just offer the Coach House apartment.

When we first considered moving to the area and had a look around, Rothbury was the first house we looked at and we immediately fell in love with it and its location. Just out of Hay on the English side of the Dulas brook and the Offa’s dyke path it was the perfect combination of rural tranquillity with easy access to all the facilities of the town. The house itself needed some work but that’s a long story…

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Coach House is perfect for a quiet getaway, characterful but modern and just a quick walk into to town. The balcony offers the opportunity to sit and eat and drink whilst taking in the beautiful view across to Cusop Hill. We never tire of it even after more than 30 years. There is not another holiday let in the area offering the opportunity to sit in your own apartment and take in such a view.
