Woodmanwray Chapel es una antigua capilla recién convertida. Originalmente construido en 1839, ahora ofrece un alojamiento elegante y confortable para hasta 6 personas en una ubicación tranquila en la hermosa Nidderdale. Arriba hay 2 dormitorios y 2 baños y abajo hay una gran sala de estar de planta abierta con un sofá cama doble, comedor y cómodos asientos. La cocina y los cuartos de servicio están separados y bien equipados. Una cuna de viaje y trona disponibles bajo petición. La Capilla ha sido cuidadosamente amueblada para crear un hogar lejos del hogar en cualquier época del año. Está bien aislado con calefacción por suelo radiante y una estufa de leña, para noches acogedoras sin importar el clima. Hay un montón de espacio cerrado al aire libre para juegos de pelota y picnics y espacio para estacionar varios autos. El almacenamiento seguro para bicicletas está disponible en un cobertizo cerrado para bicicletas. Nidderdale es una base tranquila y atractiva para caminar y andar en bicicleta, sin embargo, está a un corto trayecto en coche de Harrogate con sus numerosas comodidades. Fabulous home from home

Our second stay, amazing again

We stayed at the Chapel with friends in 2023 and returned this year with our new baby and Mother in Law and it was wonderful yet again. The Chapel is beautiful, cozy and well stocked with everything we needed for a long weekend. Highly recommend to anyone considering staying!! It's not only the Chapel that is beautiful, the surrounding area is stunning and filled with great places to visit. We'll definitely stay again in the future! 10 out of 10 In every feature.

Lovely accomodation set in quiet location

We stayed whilst visiting family in Harrogate. The accomodation itself is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Location is quiet and views great. 25 to 30 mins into Harrogate, 10 mins to Pateley Bridge. Would definitely recommend.

We've returned after visiting last year to re-live this incredible accommodation and location. It has been every bit as amazing as it was previously and we still didn't get enough and neither did our twin girls who keep saying it's their second home. Half Term Short Break

We Really enjoyed staying at this property, it’s location attracted us to it at first and it didn’t disappoint, everywhere we wanted to visit was just a short drive away but the location of the chapel meant we got the remote and peaceful break we craved. Alison’s communication pre visit meant we arrived with the house set up perfectly to accommodate us and teenage daughters that joined for the first part of the visit. On arrival the welcome pack was a very nice touch and something we valued. The house is very well equipped with all items you will require for a cosy stay. This review will never to the place justice so will Summarise with, we will definitely be looking at a return visit in the near future

Wonderful Weekend

The Chapel is simply stunning - warm, welcoming and deceptively spacious, all in beautiful scenery. The chapel was incredibly well stocked with everything you would need to enjoy a home away from home, the welcome supplies were fantastic (proper Yorkshire Tea included). It was perfect for 2 couples, having separate bedrooms and bathrooms. I can’t recommend it highly enough and both couples will be looking to return in the near future.

Beautiful Chapel

An amazing place to stay, so cosy and everything that you need has been thought of to make it feel like a real home from home. The weather was awful which meant that we really did make the most of the accommodation and have no complaints. It also gives us the perfect excuse to come back to explore further! Everything thing was very clean and the communication with Alison was brilliant. It was very peaceful and the setting is beautiful with amazing views. We would highly recommend staying here and will hopefully be back ourselves.

Family Visit

Woodmanwray Chapel is a beautifully renovated property and in such peaceful and picturesque surroundings. Being close to our home (work in progress!) it was an ideal place for visiting family to stay. The Chapel itself was perfect - spacious, well equipped and the beds were very comfortable and good nights sleeps were had. Alison was very kind and helpful. Everything you could need had been thought of and provided by her, with the milk, tea, coffee and biscuits waiting on arrival another lovely thoughtful touch. It has been a perfect place for our family to stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Amazing

This peaceful, cosy and unique coverted chapel was simply amazing. It was an ideal base for exploration and oh what an exploration it was. Nidderdale AOB is absolutely stunning. We've spent very long days with our twin girls on adventures and it was such a great experience to come back to the chapel for a night's rest. During a more relaxed day, we've spent most of it in or around the chapel, exploring either the surroundings public walking paths or enjoying all that the chapel has to offer. Twins loved exploring it and and loved the windows and their alcoves from which they could follow fhe life of sheep all day long (every day started with saying hello and ended with saying good bye to sheep). Could write forever, but if you're considering visiting then let me remove the doubt and highly recommend it (we would love to return again)! Alison, thank you for an amazing stay! Amelia, Hanna, Magda and Adam.

Wonderful stay

A wonderful place to stay, very comfortable and clean. Breathtaking scenery and very close to fun outings. The recommendations of the owner are spot on and very much appreciated. We would definitely book again if we need a place in the neighborhood.

Lovely Cottage

We had a lovely week's stay at the cottage. It was clean and comfortable and the views were wonderful. It felt like home as soon as we walked in and it had everything we needed. The welcome pack of goodies was lovely and very appreciated. I would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to get away from it all and be surrounded by beautiful scenery.

Staying in a former chapel

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful house, in the early summer of 2023. The house is nicely decorated, is very quietly located and fully equipped. The location is ideal for exploring the area: both beautiful walks and culture. Many sheep and many birds. Highly recommended!

Immaculately clean and comfortable property in a lovely location. Very well equipped with absolutely everything you could need. Plenty of attractions nearby and a little further afield. Lots of wildlife to watch and listen to. Unable to fault it.

My name is Alison Simpson and I live with my family on a neighbouring farm. If you come to Woodmanwray Chapel you will probably meet some of our farm animals! You may well see our sheepdogs being trained and we will certainly bring you some of our eggs.
We are really proud of the Chapel and hope that all of our visitors will love it as much as we do.
We think you will find that Nidderdale is a great place to visit.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Its a great location as its really quiet and peaceful, yet there is lots to do just a short drive away. Harrogate with its restaurants and shops is only a 20 minute drive away and from there you can take a train to the amazing city of York. Nidderdale offers charming scenery, lots of 'foodie' shops and friendly people. There are ideas for walks and cycle rides in the cottage and for kids of all ages there are gorges to walk, rocks to climb and rivers to paddle in.

Although the Chapel is completely modernised it still retains a lot of its original charm in the stained glass windows and stone sun porch.
