Perfect vacation

A wonderful stay in this incredible villa.The pool was wonderful (and larger than we thought it would be). The gardens are large and beautifully presented. The kitchen and dining areas were really well equied for some memorable family meals! Thanks so much to Carlos for welcoming us into the incredible home and supporting us before and during our stay.

Magnifique maison pour superbes vacances

Nous avons passez de très bonnes vacances en famille, le logement est très spacieux, au niveau du nombre de chambre et des équipements rien à dire. Très grande piscine avec une vue splendide. C'est comme sur les photos et encore plus! Le propriétaire Carlos est charmant, pleins de bons conseils et disponible. Sur place possibles ballades en montagnes, très bon restos. Nous recommandons!

Super séjour !

La maison était parfaite pour 11 personnes avec de grands volumes. La piscine a fait le bonheur des petits et des grands avec une superbe vue sur les montagnes. Cabaceiras est bien placé pour visiter la région (Porto, Parc national de Géres, la vallée du Douro, etc.).

Confortable villa au calme pour un séjour inoubliable/ Comfortable and peaceful place memorable stay

Maison très confortable et super équipée (une cuisine où absolument rien ne manque pour 14 personnes, deux lave-vaiselles; des lits de piscine pour tout le monde, des parasols, des lieux au calme à l'ombre, un espace jeux avec snooker et terrain de foot en plus des classiques table de ping pong et baby foot, deux machines à laver, deux barbecues, une vraie grande table extérieure pour manger confortablement ensemble dehors à l'ombre, des parkings sous abri, un congélateur bahut, des chaises avec cousins confortables, essuies en quantité, peignoirs de bain... rien de ce que vous pourriez avoir besoin ne manque). Les chambres sont confortables, pour 12 adultes et 2 enfants. Un lit et une chaise pour bébé sont disponibles. La salle de séjour est très vaste, chacun peut facilement trouver son espace sans gêner l'autre. Le tout est dans un état de propreté impeccable. Le jardin et le potager environnant sont magnifiques, il n'y a aucun vis-à-vis, nous avions toute notre tranquilité. Carlos et sa maman Florinda sont très attentifs à apporter de l'aide en cas de besoin, ils sont très réactifs. Les restaurants recommandés étaient très bons. Bien qu'au calme, la ville en elle même est très bien équipée (deux supermarchés, docteurs, hôpital, pharmacie, restaurants, ...) L'accès à Porto est facile et plutot rapide et on rayonne facilement vers d'autres lieux (Braga, Guimaraes, VilaReal, le parc naturel d'Alvao, la vallée du Douro,...)

Muito espaçoso e sossegado

Eu e os meus amigos tivemos uma ótima experiência nesta propriedade. Não faltou nada. Tem um espaço fenomenal e é bastante sossegado. Tem piscina, bilhar, mesa de ping-pong e matrecos. A paisagem envolvente é lindíssima e os anfitriões são de uma extrema amabilidade.

Simply perfect!

This is not a holiday house, but a home! First of all the owners give you a very warm welcome and immediately make you feel at home. Everything listed in the specifications is present, functional and clean. What a luxury! We stayed in the house with 3 families, 12 persons in total. The accommodation is perfect. More than enough bathrooms and toilets, extremely well equipped kitchen, BBQ, football field, table football, pool table, ping-pong… Last but best: very large, clean swimming pool, with a lot of sun loungers, parasols and a stunning view! Almost too good to leave the house. Cabeceiras de Basto is a very nice town, the surroundings give the possibility for nice walks and the Portuguese people are extremely friendly. I would certainly recommend this house and a visit to this region!

Fantastic Villa!

What a beautiful villa! We rented two properties in Portugal for a family vacation, and this was undoubtedly the best. The house was perfect with little to be desired. The pool is huge and lighted at night. The children enjoyed playing and swimming in it. Also for entertainment is a well-equipped game room with ping pong and a pool table, as well as a soccer field and badminton equipment. In fact, everything was well-equipped. The kitchen was fully appointed with dishes, pots and pans, and appliances. The house was furnished beautifully, and there were plenty of supplies. This family understands the concept of making a guest feel welcome by maintaining the property so well and providing everything a family could want. After welcoming us and showing us around, Carlos, the owner's son, was quick to respond to any emails with our questions. Wi-fi. outdoor patio, television, gardens--this house has it all. The only problem we had was finding our way from town to home, but after a few days, we managed to memorize the route. If you are looking for a villa for a family vacation, you won't go wrong with this property. It is a lovely home rented by a lovely family. It was a memorable experience.

Fantastic villa, pool and football pitch!

We all had a great holiday and Carlos' family's house and gardens were fantastic and exactly, if not even better, than we had hoped for. The house had plenty of space for us all, the bedrooms and bathrooms were great and best of all quite cool at night so we were able to sleep well! The football pitch was brilliant for all the boys to play day and night and a few games of badminton were played too. The pool and the surrounding terrace with the mountain views were the best we have experienced after 6 years of holidaying in similar villas in France with the sun loungers, seating furniture, shower room and the night lighting making it a perfect place to spend many hours a day. I hope you enjoyed the small gifts of Scottish whisky and shortbread biscuits which we left as a thank you for your family being so friendly and helpful during our holiday. Once again thank you for our marvellous holiday, we will recommend your family villa to all our friends and we encourage eveyone to spend their holidays at your house!

Magnifique!!

Superbe villa avec très nombreuses prestations. Tout est fait pour que l'on se sente comme chez nous! Accueil ultra chaleureux et propriétaire adorable prêt à tout pour satisfaire nos moindres désirs... Idéal pour familles et entre amis, Propriété disposée sur de multiples niveaux (terrain de sport et balançoire en partie haute, maison et terrasse en partie médiante, baby foot, billard et très grande piscine en partie basse).

Amazing villa!

Wow! This villa is just amazing! We chose this villa to have our little wedding in, inviting our close family along for a week long holiday. We found it on the internet and, as always when finding something on line were a little apprehensive as to how it would turn out... We could not have been happier with the villa, the pictures really do not do this place justice! The villa itself was spotless and huge! It has been fitted out and decorated to the highest standard with gorgeous views over the mountains. My family loved the large swimming pool, table tennis, table football and football pitch and we spent beautiful evenings in the villa making full use of the kitchen and BBQ. The little town of Cabeceiras de Basto is not far from the villa (but I would recommend hiring a car). We had our very small family wedding under the vines overlooking the mountains followed by a delicious meal which was catered by a local restaurant recommended to us by the owners of the villa. The owners were the perfect hosts encouraging us to sample some of their delightful home made green wine! All in all, I would highly recommend this villa and was very sad to have to leave after a week!

Family holiday

Our visit to Quinta Vinha De Mouros We had a fabulous holiday one of our very best. The villa was fabulous - and very well equipped. The pool was wonderful and we mixed our days between lazing by the pool and going out and about to do things. The grounds around the pool are very large and have a number of fruit trees where you can pick and eat according to your taste. For the young ones the house has a play area with swings, slide,sand pit and football pitch and for the more competitive adults we had table tennis, football and snooker competitions, we were always entertained. The house is well situated 1km from the village in a calm and peaceful surroundings with amazing views and for the more energetics ones there is bicycles for you to cycle around the area or go down to the local shops. We found the local people very friendly and helpful, and when we did venture out for a meal we found the food was great (large portions) and prices very reasonable But the highlight of the holiday was definitely the villa itself. We had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend it.

Wonderful family reunion

'Our very warm welcome to Quinta Vinha de Mouros reflected everything about the villa. We enjoyed our week stay very much and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. The villa is very clean, spacious and is well equipped for both utilitarian and leisure use. The orchard and grounds are delightful and the villa is well situated just 1km from the village and if you need the exercise you can use the bikes to cycle around and go to the cafe down the road. Everyone in our party of 12 was impressed with the villa and its facilities and we had a very enjoyable stay there. We would certainly return if the opportunity presented itself The villa was fabulous away from everything, quite, calm and a peaceful retreat. The pool was wonderful and we mixed our days between lazing by the pool and going out and about to do things. The grounds around the pool are very large and have a number of fruit trees. As for the young children they were happy playing football in the pitch or go to the swing play area and sand pit, for the more competitive adults we had table tennis,football and snooker competitions, we were always entertain. We found the local people very friendly and helpful, and when we did venture out for a meal we found the food was great (large portions) and prices very reasonable But the highlight of the holiday was definitely the villa itself. We had a wonderful time and would thoroughly recommend it. It was with some apprehension that we organized this, our first holiday, over the internet. However, we found the whole procedure very efficient and the owner was most helpful and we encountered no problems. Many thanks to the owner and her family.' un véritable paradis

Nous avons passés 15 jours fabuleux dans cet endroit magnifique,les Propriétaires sont d'une grande amabilité,la description faite correspond exactement en tous points,la propreté de la maison ainsi que la déco les honneurs reviennent à Mme que nous félicitons sincèrement,Bien sur que nous recommandons cette maison à nos amis et à tous ceux qui veulent passer de belles vacances sans prise de tête n'y surprises d'aucune sorte, le peuple de cabeceiras de Basto sont en effet très aimables on y mange très bien et pas cher, pas de grandes surfaces, par contre de petits commerces de proximité comme il n'en existe plus beaucoup aujourd'hui,je finirais ce commentaire en remerciant aussi la personne qui est chargée par les propriétaires de prendre soin de la propriété, car cette charmante personne à été d'une disponibilité et amabilité rare nous la remercions vivement.
