Apartamento perfecto

Hemos estado una semana en este apartamento. Nos sorprendió gratamente. No le falta detalle, tanto como en menaje de cocina como en decoración. Las camas muy cómodas. Los 2 lavabos geniales, sobre todo el de la suite! La terraza es bastante grande con vistas a la piscina. La playa está a 10 min caminando.. Hemos estado en general muy muy cómodos. Peter y Montse súper amables y antentos, agradecidos por el detalle en la bienvenida. Muchísimas gracias de nuevo por todo a los dos! Y seguro que volveremos!

Perfect - fantastic apartment ran by exemplary hosts

Our family with young children had a lovely week in this apartment in Altafulla. It is perfectly located, 5mins walk in either direction to the old town or beach, and is spacious with a fantastic terrace that is safely enclosed for little ones to also freely enjoy. We also enjoyed frequent dips in the pool, often having it to ourselves. The apartment is run by exemplary hosts - thank you Peter and Montse for your hospitality. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment and use it again ourselves.

Perfect break

The apartment is situated close enough to the town centre to amble in and pick up breakfast croissants, go to the beach, or eat at one of the many fab restaurants whilst being situated on a quiet street. The apartment shares a pool, but it never felt overcrowded when we were staying. The hosts, Peter and Montse, are amazing and so helpful - the welcome pack of home grown vegetables and a bottle of wine was gratefully received! We loved our stay here, and can heartily recommend it!

Alles perfekt

Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet was man im Alltag braucht. Sie befindet sich in einer top Lage und ist in einem sehr guten Zustand. Zudem haben unsere Gastgeber dafür gesorgt dass wir für die erste Zeit alles hatten sodass wir nicht direkt zum Supermarkt rennen mussten um sowas wie Wasser, Kaffeepads, Spülmaschinentabs etc, zu besorgen. Im Allgemeinen war die Kommunikation mit Peter und seiner Frau sehr unkompliziert. Sie waren immer erreichbar bei Fragen und Anliegen und haben uns mit ihrer herzlichen Art definitiv den Urlaub verschönert. Immer wieder gerne!

A perfect stay in Altafulla

A perfect stay in Altafulla. The apartment is brilliantly located a short walk from both the beach (and restaurants) and the old town. Spacious, very well equipped and furnished to a high standard, we had everything we needed for our stay. We were greeted by our hosts Peter and Montse on arrival who ensured we felt at home straightaway. They left fresh vegetables in the fridge and a bottle of wine. Peter’s “Book of Words” the information folder left in the apartment is thorough and full of detail. We followed a number of his recommendations, the early morning walk to swim at the cove a real treat. If wishing to travel into Barcelona there are regular direct trains to and from Altafulla-Tamarit. The station is just over 5 minutes walk from the apartment. The journey into Barcelona takes between 1 hour and 1hr 15mins depending on which train you catch. Peter had very kindly had printed out the train timetable for our arrival. We would highly recommend both Altafulla and Peter’s apartment as a place to stay and would very happily stay here again.

Lovely apartment with lovely owners!

As holiday apartments go, this is one of the best because it is so well thought out. It is also a very nice apartment! In terms of the apartment itself, things that made a difference for us were: everything in it was of high quality and in good condition; it was spotlessly clean when we arrived; it is a corner apartment with two balconies meaning you can sit in or out of the sun; the main balcony is large and has a sofa to lounge on as well as a large table at which to eat; all the windows have electric shutters so bedrooms can be completed blacked out. The owners provided beach and pool towels as well as the bath towels you'd expect; beach parasols; beach bag; shopping bags; recycling bags; board games etc; an excellent guide to the local area; clothes drying rack; ironing board and iron; and, really useful for us as we had opted not to rent a car this time, a shopping trolley! The apartment is a short walk from a local square which has a friendly neighbourhood feel. There are restaurants and shops there and then more restaurants on the promenade along the beach which is only a short walk further. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Opening the fridge to find the veg drawer filled with vegetables from their family allotment was a real treat and they provided a generous quantity of bottled water so we didn't have to rush to the shops immediately. Highly recommend!

Perfekter Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen super schönen Aufenthalt in dieser sehr gemütlichen und super ausgestatteten Wohnung. Peter und Montse sind super herzliche Gastgeber, die uns sogar frisches Gemüse, Wasser und schöne frische Blumen in der Wohnung gelassen haben. Die Wohnung ist super gut eingerichtet, alles da, von Handtüchern, Gewürzen, Öl bis hin zu Spül- und Waschmittel. Super praktisch, da man nicht alles neu kaufen muss. Der Pool war auch super und die Kinder hatten sehr viel Spaß. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt war die Tiefgarage für das Auto, so konnten wir immer in eine kühles Auto einsteigen. Wir hatten selten im Urlaub so eine tolle Wohnung und sind positiv überrascht gewesen. Lieben Dank an Montse und Peter für den sehr herzlichen Empfang.

Perfect stay

We had again an amayzing stay in this very comfortable appartment (our 2nd stay). It provides you with everything you need and from the very nice big terrace you look to the wonderful pool which was again the highlight for our 4-year-old daughter. Only 5 min walk to the beach and restaurants! Peter and Montse are the perfect hosts. Thanks for everything. We will come back again next year!

Parfait !

Nous garderons un merveilleux souvenir de notre séjour chez Peter et Montse qui sont des hôtes très agréables, disponibles et attentionnés. L’appartement possède tous les atouts pour passer de bonnes vacances. La terrasse est un lieu de vie exceptionnelle et la piscine est très calme et appréciable pour les familles. La mer située à 5 minutes à pied est très plaisante également pour les couples et les familles. Nous y retournerons c’est certain !

Execellent séjour

Je tiens à remercier Peter de son sympathique accueil. L’appartement est très bien équipé. Il ne manque rien. La terrasse est le lieu de vie et ne manque d’espace. La piscine est un plus pour ceux qui viennent en famille.

Perfect stay ...perfect apartment ...perfect owners...

We are a little family with a 3-year-old daughter enjoying our stay (14d) to full extend, it was such a great time. The apartment is very comfortable, very clean and is equipped with everything you need (coffee machine, washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioning, parking space, 2 bathrooms, towels for the pool/beach, a big terrace...) - plus the shared large warm pool. The pool was not crowded at all as most of the owners of the other apartments in that housing complex were only coming on weekends. The owners Peter and Motse are lovely!! When arriving we found fresh flowers, a bottle of tasty wine and water available. After one week they came for refreshing (switch towels and linen) and were bringing home-grown vegetables which I was not expecting at all! Even before our stay all our questions/eMails have been answered in a very quick and helpful manner. Altafulla as such is lovely (it was not out first stay). Staying in this apartment is more than recommended...I have never been to a better appartment than this! Thank you...we will be back next year!

Wir hatten 12 sehr schöne Tage in der tollen, sehr liebevoll eingerichteten Wohnung. Den Balkon und den Pool konnten wir sehr gut für unsere Erholung nutzen. Auch der Weg zum Strand und zum Einkaufen ist gut zu bewältigen.

Fantastic apartment, perfect location, massively helpful owners

We are a family with 3 young children and had an amazing stay at this apartment in Alltafulla. It has everything you could possibly need ....and more. Really spacious apartment with a large secure balcony. The pool is wonderful and we often had it to ourselves. 5 min walk to the beach! Lovely restaurants close by. Peter was massively helpful. Thank you! Would highly reccommend.

Fantastic apartment, great owners and beautiful location.

We had a fantastic week in this apartment. We found Peter very responsive to any queries we had prior to our arrival. We used a taxi from Reus (approx. 50 Euro each way) as Altafulla has a train station for any trips that we planned. The apartment was extremely well equipped and with 3 young children we found this really pleasing, everything that we could possibly need was provided. Peter was there to great us and provide us with a great manual of information on the facilities and the surrounding area as well as some beautiful home grown vegetables. The pool was fantastic and we often had it to ourselves which was a real bonus. The beach was beautiful and Altafulla town provided a real taste of Spain and provided a welcome departure from the traditional tourist resorts. We used the train to have a few trips to Port Adventura/Water park, the service is quite frequent however kids below 4 would struggle to get much out of it due to lengthy queues and strict height restrictions. We would like to thank Peter and Montse for the use of their beautiful apartment and will definitely be returning.

Perfect family apartment

There's really nothing to fault with this spacious apartment with good sized balcony, it is beautifully decorated and as the hosts live there themselves for much of the year it has everything you could need for dining in, as well as towels, iron, blankets, hair dryer. We were met at the apartment on arrival, when Peter went through everything we could possibly need to know, all in a folder for perusal at our leisure. We were left a bottle of wine in the fridge, several large bottles of water and a huge punnet of freshly picked cherries which nearly lasted us the week! The pool doesn't need to be heated, deep enough to swim properly but shallow enough to stay really very warm, feels private, and as many other residents in the block come down from Barcelona just at weekends, we pretty much had it to ourselves in the week. Altafulla itself is more of a town than a village, but delightful and unspoilt with few English or American visitors at least in June. Golden beaches with several restaurants on the promenade, or go up to the beautiful 'old town' where there are bars a plenty, including a great little place that does delicious roasted chickens (to eat in their waiter-served courtyard, or take away) and other traditional dishes with salads, always with a small queue of locals. We didn't hire a car so booked a taxi from Reus airport for 53 Euros each way (met at arrivals by the driver, hassle free) and for a day out we caught the train from the station that's 5 minutes walk from the apartment. It is rare that we can't find anything at all to complain about, and we had one of our best holidays.

Perfect family holiday!

We found this apartment through an internet search and had not visited this part of Spain before. We were delighted when we arrived - immaculate apartment and a beautiful pool. However, it is the hospitality of the hosts that set this experience apart - nothing was too much trouble, even fresh vegetables ready for us and refreshed halfway through the holiday! We were made to feel very welcome. Even though we visited in the middle of August, the pool was rarely busy and in fact we often had it to ourselves. The apartment is well appointed including a dishwasher, a nespresso machine and air conditioning. Towels for bathroom, pool and beach are all provided, which is a great help with the packing. Altafulla is a very Spanish resort, with few English people, but all the people we met, especially the other families who shared the pool, were very friendly. The beach (around 500m) is golden sand and crowded at times, but there is always space to sit and the water is a perfect temperature for swimming. We visited the Roman ruins (walking distance) which were impressive, and Karting Altafulla which our boys (12, 9 and 7) really enjoyed. We didn't venture further than that, as we had everything we needed close by. There seems to be lots of other things to do in the region, though, if you prefer a more adventurous holiday. Overall, a fantastic apartment in a perfect location, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Greta place for a peaceful family holiday

A pleasure to arrive at a holiday apartment equipped with everything you need just to walk in a relax. The apartment is smart and well equipped, and the owners friendly and helpful. The small community it is part of was equally relaxed and friendly, with a good sized swimming pool.. Altafulla is a brilliant place for a "bucket and spade" holiday for children with a huge sandy beach, and a "sit and watch the world go by" by holiday for adults. 95% Spanish families, topped up by a few British, French and Dutch - no Sky TV bars, no "All day English breakfast", but plenty of relaxed small Spanish restaurants. Easy train links to Tarragona and Barcelona, and ideal for driving to the local wine region. All in all a great fortnight's holiday.

Beautiful, immaculately-kept place...lovely owners

We have been using Owners Direct for several years now and this was by far the most positive experience. A beautiful, well looked-after apartment, spotlessly clean with fully-functioning facilities (sleek and modern kitchen equipment, reliable wifi, tv etc). The owners - who live just 30 minutes away - are genuinely good people and we felt very welcome and looked after... it was lovely to see vases of fresh flowers upon our arrival, and gifts of homegrown vegetables in the fridge! And Altafulla itself is a really lovely little town, with plenty of old streets to walk through and a clean, sandy beach close by, and absolutely zero tacky tourism feel. We would definitely hope to return to this apartment at some point in the next couple of years.

Luxurious, comfortable and family friendly

We had a relaxing stay in Altafulla. The apartment was bigger than we expected with lots of room the five of us. It was very clean with fresh flowers and local produce on arrival. The beds were very comfortable and the towels and pillows were of high quality. The air conditioning worked well in every room which was essential in the heat of July. We had the pool virtually to ourselves mid week, with the owners of the neighbouring apartments arriving at the weekends. The nearby beach is very clean and slopes gently into the sea making it very child friendly. The owners are very friendly and approachable. Highly recommended.

First class apartment in beautiful complex

This is a beautiful immaculately-kept apartment in a lovely quiet complex. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids and we were very comfortable. The apartment is extremely well equipped and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome-there was even fresh veg and wine left for us when we arrived. Altafulla is a magical spot and it's only a 5 minute walk from the apartment to the beach. The beach is very safe with a long stretch of shallow water and great waves for the kids to play in. There are several small beach restaurants/bars run by friendly staff where we enjoyed tapas/paella...and sangria! There is plenty to do for families nearby but we spent most of our holiday on the beach! We cannot recommend Altafulla and this apartment highly enough-we came home thoroughly relaxed after a wonderful family holiday.

We are an Anglo-Catalan couple who live about 30 minutes inland from Altafulla, so we are close enough to meet you directly at the beginning and end of your stay and sort out any issues that may arise while you are here.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Altafulla is one of the very few villages on the coast of Tarragona that hasn't been over-developed. It has a beautiful old town centre (where we were married 30 years ago) and in general is a quiet, family oriented resort. We bought the apartment as a second home to enjoy ourselves and to make available to guests when it is empty.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The apartment is in a small gated community with three blocks of six apartments that share a common garden/pool area. The pool has a very shallow "shallow end" making it ideal for families with small children.

The terrace which overlooks the swimming pool is where we spend much of our time: perfect for breakfast in the morning sun and wonderful suppers on balmy evenings.
