We were a party of 12 with 2 dogs and had lovely week at this property. We especially enjoyed all the outdoor spaces including the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and pizza oven. John and Lesley were excellent hosts.

Lovely location for a family stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were on hand to sort out any problems. The house has a great range of rooms and facilities. My suggestions for improvement are to drop the self clean and pay some cleaners. Also to improve the WiFi connectivity through the property.

Golden wedding family celebration

Excellent property for us and our family. The "kids" enjoyed the freedom given by the large play areas and,although a litle cool (due to long period of poorish weather before our arrival) the pool heated up well for our dips. The oldies could escape to the Chaumierre for R&R as needed. Great venue for our large group. Rural but close to Riberac for essential supplies.Worked very well.

Family friendly

We are a family of 15 plus baby and a dog. The property is in a quiet village and gave us very comfortable accommodation suitable for our family group. Really enjoyed the pool, the pizza oven and large grassed areas for walking the dog and for children playing. We visited a few local attractions including a large lake. John and Leslie were helpful and friendly. We have no hesitation recommending this property.

Spacious and clean property - exactly as described

John and Leslie were informative and welcoming. The property is as described, and was perfect for a relaxing week away. The pool and outside eating area were great for socialising. Sauna and hot-tub were v. impressive, although we only used the hot-tub once since it was so hot outside! The house is in a quiet area but there's lots to do near-by - we did a day trip to Brentome, for example. Thank you!

A great holiday!

A thoroughly enjoyable holiday was had at this well equipped property. Super facilities including a large swimming pool, hot tub, table tennis, badminton and pizza oven - all well used. Adults were able to relax in this beautiful country setting whilst the youngsters entertained themselves in the superb swimming pool and various sporting activities. Other attractions nearby are well worth a visit such as the local lake and Riberac market. The hosts John and Lesley were extremely helpful and always available for any queries. Highly recommended.

Lovely peaceful place

This was a lovely place for us to stay with extended family. We hired La Maison and La Chaumiere. Really quiet. Good distance from the village and shops etc. Clean, safe pool. We made good use of the pizza oven and made probably the best pizza we've ever had. Didn't use eat sauna or spa. Would like to go back, and if so would try to hire the 2 large houses so that we get use of the large flat garden behind them which would be prefect for family football matches.

Immaculately presented property.

The property was immaculate and had all facilities and equipment for a great holiday catering for 15 people. The extra facilities of pizza oven and jacuzzi were the icing on the cake. Downside was that the local restaurant, shop and bakery were closed. However, the drive to Riberac was only a few minutes away. We enjoyed days out to vineyards fir wine tasting, vel rail and visiting the lake. Having such a large, clean, warm swimming pool brought our family together and was enjoyed by all. Thank you John.

Wonderful property with the pool a highlight

We holidayed here for a week and there were 13 of us in the 2018 heatwave. We loved every second. The villa did not disappoint. In fact, we rarely went out; just stayed and enjoyed the place. The heated pool was fantastic. Four young children loved it. One evening as I swam, with twilight descending, the house silhouetted and the cicadas singing, I felt that life doesn’t really get better than this. John and Lesley were helpful and accommodating. The dinner table on the patio was another highlight for special family times. Highly recommended- probably the best of the eight villa holidays I’ve done. PS I was glad I brought electric fans for night time!

Hot Holiday

We were a party of 14 from 2 years to 74 during 2 extremely hot weeks at the beginning of August and consequently our holiday was centred round the excellent swimming pool and the outdoor BBQ and dining table. We found sufficient shade under the pergola by the pool to be able to read there during the hottest parts of the day. We had hired La Maison and La Chaumière which is across a country lane, occasionally used by large farm vehicles..There was plenty of space in the house and the kitchen was well equipped. Because of the heat we did not make local visits but made good use of the pool. We would highly recommend the excellent Boulangerie/Patisserie in Ribérac as well as the friendly Boucherie. John and Lesley were good hosts. We all enjoyed a first class family holiday.

Everything we needed for relaxing and fun family get together.

Both la Maison and la chaumiere were comfortable and we'll equipped. Lots of books, board games and outdoor play stuff, as well as lots of space in which to play. Lovely pool and outdoor dining area , providing opportunity to take in the rural landscape. The setting is quite remote with nowhere really to walk to , There were some issues with the lack of ventilation to second floor bedrooms due to tarpaulin covering roof damaged in freak hail storm a few weeks before. John and Lesley provided electric fans on Sunday after we requested them. It's a pity these were not already in the house from the outset. Overall we enjoyed the property but the location was a bit too rural and isolated for us, as we like to walk to a shop or bar. Of course these things were easily accessed by car within a few minutes drive. We wanted a relaxing family time together and this property enabled this. Thank you.

Hôte très agréables et maison conforme à la proposition

Nous avons passé avec la famille et les amis un excellent séjour dans cette grande maison. Le cadre est calme au milieu de la campagne du Périgord et la maison parfaitement bien équipée. La grande piscine et le jacuzzi ont plu aux petits comme aux grands et l'extérieur de la maison nous a permis de profiter d'instants de convivialité entre amis de façon parfaitement confortable autour de la grande table ombragée et du barbecue. Merci à Lesly et John pour leur accueil !

Vacances au vert et au calme

Maison au calme et dans la verdure au sein d´une région riche en visites. Proximité avec des commerces variés très appréciable. De belles ballades avec notre chien dans les environs. Très belle piscine à température idéale, malgré le temps les enfants ont pu se baigner tous les jours. Bon nombre de chaises longues et matelas autour de la piscine avec pergolas pour l´ombre afin que tout le monde puisse en profiter. Les serviettes de piscine sont aussi fournies, ce n´est pas toujours le cas ! Cuisine bien équipée, manque peut-être un petit robot pour rapper les carottes en grande quantité :-) et quelques couteaux d´office, Petit bémol pour la connexion internet problématique pour un groupe de 15 (mais celle ci n´est pas forcement nécessaire pour tout le monde pendant les vacances ;-) ) mais on capte autour de la piscine ! Le partage du jacuzzi et du four à pizza s´est fait trés naturellement avec les voisins adorables. Les enfants ont pu jouer au volleyball, badminton, pingpong et pétanques ! Bilan très positif, John et Lesley sont très gentils, à l´écoute et présents quand il le faut. Je recommande. PS. Peut-être changer le vélux de la mezzanine pour un électrique, car la perche n´est vraiment pas commode...

Très belle maison rénovée

Nous avons apprécié la propreté de cette ancienne ferme rénovée... Très propre et accueil sympathique des propriétaires John et Lesley Belle piscine, et situation parfaite pour les amoureux du calme parfait et de la Nature, et du chant des oiseaux.. Seul "bruit" dans ce lieu.. Beaucoup d'espace, et tout est prévu pour faire la cuisine, bien équipée Seul bémol, l'accès internet et les communications téléphoniques, instables, pas fiables...

Pas adapté pour Avril

La maison est propre et les propriétaires sont accueillants, cependant notre séjour n' pas été à la hauteur de nos espérances. La deuxième maison se trouve en fait de l'autre côté de la route ce qui sépare vraiment le groupe. Les pièces à vivre et ustensiles de cuisine de la maison principale ne sont pas adaptés à un groupe de plus de 10 personnes. Du au peu d'ensoleillement à cette période la piscine n'avait pas chauffé et nous n'avons pas pu en profiter beaucoup. La maison n'avait pas été chauffée de l'hiver et était très humide, les serviettes ne séchaient pas. Malheureusement le chauffage central ne pouvait être mis en route car l'entretien n'avait pas été fait. Les propriétaires nous on ramener rapidement des petits chauffage d'appoint électrique. Il y avait une 3eme maison louée la même semaine et nous avons dû partager la terrasse avec le four à pizza, le sauna et le jacuzzi. Ce dernier est tombé en panne à la moitié de notre séjour et n'a pas pu être réparé. Le Wi-Fi est quasiment inexistant il faut sortir de la maison pour pouvoir avoir un peu de 4g. Malgré cela notre séjour s'est bien déroulé mais il y a selon nous des améliorations à faire.

Location idéale pour un séjour en famille et entre amis

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la maison de John et Leslie. La maison est très bien équipée et fonctionnelle. La piscine est parfaitement sécurisée pour les enfants. Cadre idéal pour un séjour au calme à plusieurs familles. John et Leslie sont très accueillants et disponibles.
