Lovely accommodation
The cottage is well situated with the beautiful village of Chiddingfold near by.
The property is well maintained with a large garden and fields, ideal if you take your pet with you. Very quiet and peaceful.
If you wish to cook or bake the kitchen is very well equipped. There is a washing machine and dish washer if needed, also a large selection of books and games. Plenty of crockery and glasses, every thing that you may need for an enjoyable holiday.

First impressions count ! Apparently not
First impressions count !
They say in life it's necessary to make a good first impression.
This concept has clearly been lost on this property and its owner.
Upon arriving at the property we soon discovered levels of filth and uncleanliness we have never experienced when renting a holiday home in the uk.
Where to begin...
1. No wardrobe space as in the master bedroom this had been taken up by all the owners clothes. In the second bedroom the main wardrobe was full of dirty sheets.
2. Dirty bathtub - this had a horrid ring of yellow scum all around it to which the later claimed is a dirty water mark that's been there for 5 years. I would suggest she have this looked at.
3. Thick dust on virtually every shelve in the house
4. Electrical wires hanging from the walls
5. Broken cabinets
6. When opening the freezer the plastic panels fell off
7. A rusty unusable bbq
8. Holes in the wall where things such as toilet roll holder has fallen off
9. Yellow stained sheets
10. Old hard towels
11. Dead flys all over the house
12. Marks all over the walls
13. Moldy and rotten books
After an hour of arrival we left the property and informed the owner.
The response was utter disgraceful.
She claims the place was:is spotless and had been professionally cleaned - I have advised her to seek a refund.
The level of rudeness that came from her was on another level. Not 1 apology, not 1 suggestion of how the problems could be fixed just an irate response saying she will keep the full weeks rent and then put the phone down.
Do not under any circumstances book this property.

I am utterly and absolutely appalled that this disgustingly arrogant young couple from the banking industry are clearly running a scam, and can ruin the businesses of honest folk with consciences. In all our back to back lettings over the last 3 years, we have NEVER had a complaint about cleanliness. And I shall go through each point that has been raised in this review. The people in question were running a scam. They rented the property for a week, and having arrived from South Africa at 10am in the morning, used every room for 3 hours, left dirty wine glasses in the sink (at 10 am), crisp crumbs in the beds, slept in the beds, jumped on the sofas and then left. They were offered accommodation by their grandmother locally, and so therefore were looking for an excuse to get out of the contract, and left, but presumably needed a landing place after a long flight with a young child. I have photos of the house before and after they left, showing that the cleanliness of the house is to a very high standard, and have reported them to Owners Direct, who are looking into the situation. Because of this disgusting couple’s attitude and departure, I upgraded another couple to this house the next day without it being re-cleaned (apart from the linen), and attach a screen shot of their review. If you can’t see it on here, then this is what it said .. Rennee wrote... “... however the host was able to make alternative arrangements for us in the main house. The main house is a lovely large, modern, clean and comfortable place with everything you could need. The setting is quite rural so very peaceful and quiet. It's close to Haslemere which is a pretty village with some lovely restaurants and a Waitrose for all your necessary supplies." also the next review from Chris who had flown in with his mother from Australia on geneology trip was 'All good. Very comfortable and welcoming." The house IS 'quirky'.... it is not a conventional 5star penthouse suite, but we do not advertise it as such. The wire in question is a speaker wire which has not been connected which is hanging from the ceiling, which you really wouldn't notice. The linen is ivory Egyptian cotton, which they called (yellow), but is lovely. The old roll top bath has a enamel mark at the bottom, but it is hardly noticeable, and obviously clean. There are no wardrobes in the mastersuite upstairs, but ample hanging/wardrobe space in the garden bedroom, and the dressing room. Loads oBooks are as pics on site

The property is located between Haslemere and Chiddingfold in the Surrey Hills, it extends to the tripoint with Hampshire and West Sussex and it is the most southerly town in Surrey. It is a beautiful rural oak framed contemporary 3 bedroomed house with far reaching views from Indian stone terrace.
The property stands in an area of outstanding natural beauty only 5 minutes from Haslemere mainline station to Waterloo. There is a large main bedroom with ensuite bathroom with Victorian rolltop bath, and a double with ensuite dressing room and luxurious limestone wetroom, with oak french doors to the terrace, overlooking the garden. The living space of a white contemporary kitchen and sittingroom/dining room are open plan on two levels, with wide oak french doors to terrace or wonderful outdoor summer living.

It is a beautiful place in a beautiful location. Really quirky with bedroom in the eaves. Beautifully presented very well equiped and such fun for the young children big tractors passing in the nearby field with a lovely big garden. It was truly perfect We are hoping we can book it again this June
"FANTASTIC RURAL LOCATION. TERRACE AND OUTDOORS WITH LOVELY VIEWS"
We arrived from South Africa tired, and moved into this quirky, but very contemporary open-plan space. Everything was white and clean, with all mod cons.
The kids love the flatscreen TVs in every room, and the open-plan, split level kitchen, breakfast and sitting room spanning oak doors to the terrace was wonderful.
When we arrived it was very welcoming, warm and ordered. The cream sheets on the bed in the master bedroom, crisp and lovely. There are two fridges, and two freezers which was very helpful, and all the food mixers and pots and pans you could possibly need.
A very very enjoyable stay, and the owner couldn't have been more helpful.
Thanks very much for our first three weeks back in the UK, before we moved into our own home.
