Encantadora casa de piedra de 2 dormitorios, con hermosas vistas al campo y cerca de Sarlat

Le Tournesol es una casa de piedra espléndidamente restaurado con mucho carácter y confort, que está muy bien equipado y cuenta con TV vía satélite (Reino Unido y Francia), reproductor de DVD y WiFi. Con calefacción eléctrica, puede estar disponible todo el año, perfecto para personas que buscan comprar una propiedad. El albergue tiene su propio espacio de estacionamiento y terraza, puede utilizar nuestro gran jardín y beneficiarse de nuestro conocimiento del turismo local y del mercado inmobiliario. Somos una familia amigable pero discreta de 4 (dos hijos).

El establecimiento se encuentra a solo 5 minutos de Daglan, Cenac-et-St Julien y Domme, todos ellos con tiendas y restaurantes, y a 15 minutos de Sarlat-la-Caneda, el hermoso centro medieval de esta zona. Todo tipo de atracciones turísticas están muy cerca - castillos, playas fluviales, restaurantes, pueblos, aldeas y jardines, además de actividades deportivas - piragüismo, golf, tenis, senderismo y ciclismo, por nombrar sólo algunos.

Une très belle semaine passée au gîte du TournesolLe calme et la vue sont incomparables.Le gîte est très confortable et bien équipé et la piscine très agréable.De nombreuses visites et activités à faire à moins de 15 minutes. Un très bel endroit pour passer de bonnes vacances.

Lovely cottage with HUGE swimming pool

We had a marvellous fortnight stay in the house. It is located just near enough of all the important things to do in the Perigord and far enough to relax. The huge 10x5m size swimming pool is ideal for cooling down and also provides a WONDERFUL view! Definitely a location we want to go back some day!

Wir haben ein Haus vorgefunden,genau wie wir es erwartet hatten. Eine sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Vermieterin erwartete uns und so konnten wir die Tage genießen. Das Haus war ok und der beheizte Pool rundeten den Aufenthalt ab. Die Lage war traumhaft und ideal für unsere Ausflüge. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Negativ fanden wir die kleine Dusche und das Thermostat müsste erneuert werden.

What more could we have asked for - space, comfort, peace and quiet after hectic sight seeing in cities and the warmest and most helpful people to deal with. A well equipped kitchen, very effective washing machine, good wifi connection and ever so cosy cottage, we loved every minute of our stay. Than you Juliette & Stuart for sharing a piece of your paradise.

This was such a beautiful location for painting and drawing. Daglan was ideal by the river. The accommodation was really lovely with great views of the valley and fields with wild flowers. Beautiful Area

Really enjoyed our stay. Juliet was very helpful with reservations and very good to work with. Once they are finished with their renovations the compound will be great. Think it is time for a remodel in the the gite and new bedding, towels etc. Very beautiful area.

A lovely holiday in a peaceful setting

We took a risk having a holiday in this area in February/March but we were amply rewarded for our decision. Not only was the weather very kind to us, but the accommodation at Le Tournesol was just perfect for us: very comfortable, clean and well equipped. It's in a lovely setting in a small hamlet on top of a hill, so there are lovely views all round the area. Great for walking: just stroll out from your front door and you're in beautiful countryside. Owner Juliette couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. We arrived as guests but left as friends: you can't ask for better than that. Would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return again in the future. Thanks Juliette - we have lovely memories of our time in the Dordogne.

Very nice property, a short drive to Domme and other attraction the area.

Juliette was a very helpful host and the apartment was excellent, clean, comfortable and secluded. It also has CNN so we could watch the news while relaxing in the evenings.

Le gite est conforme aux photos, bien qu'isolé, il est situé dans une zone centrale pour les visites. La literie est parfaite et il y a de nombreux rangements. Le grand terrain équipé pour les enfants leur a permis de courir et sauter... Parfait pour notre petite famille avec 2 enfants encore jeunes. Merci à Juliette et sa famille pour l'accueil, et les précieux conseils de visites et activités (tellement nombreuses qu'une semaine ne nous a pas suffit !). A wonderful rural Gite situated close to all the major tourist sites

The Gite is a charmingly restored old farm building with thick stone walls which maintained cool conditions on the hot and warm days. Our hosts were friendly, charming and very helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening drinks and chats. Their 3 chooks, dog and cat certainly added to the enjoyment of our week's stay. The Gite was well equipped, including an outside clothesline, which for 4 of us most helpful. We were most comfortable staying here and without hesitation recommend this Gite. The close proximity to an excellent Boulangery, kayaking and the villages and chateax of the Dordogne made our stay very very exciting and one we will cherish for a long time

Delightful!

We really enjoyed our three weeks staying at Juliet and Stuart's charming house in the beautiful Périgord countryside. The house was very well equipped, furnished and private and we enjoyed the addition of the three hens, the dog and the cat in the garden. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property.

Wonderful !!

Everything was just about perfect with the accommodations, location and the weather!!!!!! Juliette and her family (including Roxy the dog ) were very friendly giving great advice on where to visit. The accommodation is lovely, clean and everything you need in the kitchen. We will be booking again

super gîte très bien placé...

Perdu au milieu de nulle part mais en même temps très bien situé, ce gîte a beaucoup de charme et est très bien équipé pour un agréable séjour. Accueil très sympathique de Juliette, grand calme, super... Depuis le gîte accès facile et rapide aux principaux sites touristiques de la région. Le gîte est sur la commune de Daglan, très joli petit village à quelques kilomètres, où vous trouverez toutes les commodités.

Superb stay

4 days was nowhere near enough enjoying Juliette and Stewart's hospitality. Everything you need is there and anything you might need they can supply. Our GPS struggled to find the address, but simple instructions from Juliette and all good. Anyone wanting a great time in the Dordogne need look no further. Would we return? In a heartbeat!!

Lovely Gite, comfortable and quiet

This is a fab Gite, very comfortable and ideally situated for exploring the surrounding area. Juliette and Stuart were very helpful with suggestions of where to go and how to get there. We were never stuck for anything to do during our stay and would love to go back one day, I will be recommending this fab Gite to to my friends who want to travel to this area of the Dordogne. There is so much to do and see and the whole area is amazingly beautiful and clean.

Beautiful location wonderful family

Juliette and Stuart and their sons are a wonderfully welcoming family who are always on hand if you need them but leave you to have your own privacy in the comfort of their beautiful gite. The property has everything you need at hand with stunning views. I can only imagine how stunning it looks in the sunshine!

We are an English family who have been living and working in the Dordogne since 1999. Juliette works in real-estate and Stuart has his own communications business. We have two teenage sons. We'll respect your privacy but we're also available for any questions, help or advice.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We are right in the middle of the attractive Dordogne valley also known as the valley of the chateaux and despite being here a long time we never tire of the spectacular countryside, pretty medieval villages and towns. There really is no better spot from which to explore the area than our tranquil corner.

We are accessible from Bergerac (1 1/4 hrs) and Brive (1 hr) airports and the nearest exit of the A20 at Souillac is 1/2 hr away.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Le Tournesol has it's own terrace and shady parking space. In terms of location it's in a rural hamlet on a hill between Daglan & Cenac-et-St Julien. In the car we are 5 mins from either and they both have shops and restaurants. 5 mins from Domme (must-see bastide town) and the river Dordogne beaches and canoe stations. Only 15 minutes from Sarlat-la-Caneda, the renowned medieval town. The most popular chateaux to visit - Beynac, Castelnaud, Milandes & Marqueyssac are only 15 mins away too. From our house we also have spectacular walks and cycle rides and can help with bike hire.
