Luxury apartment

This was our second stay at the apartment in the past six months. The apartment is compact but has great facilities and is in a very central location in the village. The host is really friendly and has obviously taken great care when planning the layout and choosing the fixtures and fittings, which are of a very high standard. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Tasteful, well thought out studio apartment for two.

First impressions were lasting. This studio has everything you need, clean, comfortable and private. We enjoyed watching village life from above by as we drank our tea in the morning. Aldbourne has everything you need, super country walks, pubs, chippy, supermarket, post office and a hairdressers. Only downside for us personally was there was no washer or dryer, but all other amenities necessary for a lovely stay were there. Thanks so much, we hope to return one day!

Perfect stay!

Coach House is a magical apartment, located steps from our friends home, in the incredibly friendly village of Aldbourne. Claire was wonderfully easy to work with. The apartment had everything we could need, and more. We did not cook while there, but the kitchen was well stocked. Shower products were top quality, as were bed and bath linens. Shower has great water pressure, bed and pillows were comfortable. Claire went out of her way to make our stay an easy, hassle free one. We will definitely be back to Coach House. It's a real gem.

Tidy, lovely and tranquil

This stay was outstanding in the ways that are important to me. My work and personal travel have taken me to many places around the world, over the years, and my standards are high. Clean and orderly is an understatement. What a pleasure to stay in a place where the owner has thought of everything. The flat was done beautifully-so tasteful-clearly by someone with an eye for detail. Green cleaning products were much appreciated. It was the most peaceful stay I have had in years. Thank you!

studio flat that ticks all the boxes

Excellent comunications prior to arriving. Stunnng apartment that had just about anything you would need for a short stay or longer. Well positioned with appointed parking in a lovely village with lots going on.Top drawer spec with a very comfy large double bed. Would recommend to anyone considering a stay here. Lorraine Smith

Return Visit… Love the Place!

Both times I’ve stayed at The Coach House, it has been for work purposes. By no stretch has that taken away from the experience. The accommodation and the locality are a pleasure and, as last time, Claire was available to make sure my trip was entirely enjoyable. A deserved 5-star rating!

Short Stay Business Trip

I occasionally travel to Ramsbury for work and I tend to stay self-catering within the surrounding areas, just to allow a little more freedom and relaxation. The Coach House was perfect for me. Wonderfully decorated and furnished and it's evident that Claire has given real consideration to ensuring one has a comfortable stay here - something as simple as a local beer in the fridge is an example of the care and attention given. Aldbourne itself is nicely situated and the local shops, while not in abundance, are more than adequate for a short stay. Other towns are in easy travel distance which offer a bit more variety in terms of restaurants/cafes. Should it be available when I next travel down and, if I'm welcome back, I'll definitely be looking to stop there again. Highly recommended! Thank you, Claire!

Few Days Away

We needed a few days away “from everything “ and the Coach House was the perfect retreat. Claire has turned this into a beautiful, calming space with gorgeous touches everywhere- I particularly liked the shell lampshades in the bathroom. It also felt very safe with hand sanitizer as you enter and antibacterial soap (as well as beautiful Green & Spring toiletries) at the sink and basin. The bed is amazing. Aldbourne is a picturesque village, ideal for walking and 2 lovely local pubs. We were only there for three days but wish it had been longer. Claire was the perfect host from start to finish and we would love to stay again.

Perfect accommodations in a perfect village

We loved our time at The Coach House with it's fabulous interior design choices, comfy bed, gracious shower, beautiful views, etc. (The list could go on and on.) My husband said he felt like we are in a movie set and actors had been hired to walk through the village so we would think it was real. It was an ideal location for us with easy steps to two pubs and a market and within easy driving distance of our daily sightseeing destinations (Highclere Castle, Bath, Blenheim Palace, Cotswolds). Claire was great to help us with our questions as well as a wonderful and attentive host. We hope to return!

The Coach House, Aldbourne

Aldbourne looks the way I wish all villages did: a green, a duckpond, proper Post Office and classic medieval church. As for the Coach House itself, it's peaceful, spotlessly clean and I don't think the owner, Claire, could have made a better job of fitting it out. I used it as a base for walking all over that part of Wiltshire, and coming back each day to a (piping hot) shower then an hour or two on the sofa with my feet up (aaahhh!) was very pleasant indeed. In fact, the (gigantic) double bed was so comfortable, and I found myself so reluctant to leave it in the mornings, it's a wonder I got any walking done at all really! A lovely spot.

Absolutely perfect

We stayed at The Coach House for 2 nights. Everything about it was perfect. Our arrival was delayed but Claire was happy to accommodate that and greeted us warmly. The location is lovely; the village is quiet but has all the amenities required for a short stay. The property is very well laid out and appointed. Cleanliness is second to none. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you Claire

Nicely presented studio apartment.

Nicely decorated and furnished (great bed!) studio apt with broadband. Claire was welcoming and helpful. Handy for Oxford, Bath, Avebury and several other small towns and villages in this rural area.

You’ve gotta stay here!

A wonderful loft style apartment in an interesting village. The decor is comfortable and relaxing. Enough kitchen equipment to make a light meal. Amazing bathroom. The most sumptuous bed we slept in during our three weeks in the UK ! Two village pubs for meals and drinks and a store with fresh bread delivery every morning. Claire was a great host and most kind to us.

Fabulous apartment in a wonderful location

What a wonderful place to spend a week! Located in a charming town and close to Hungerford, the site of the wedding I attended. The apartment kitchen was perfect, with everything one could want or need. The bed was luxurious and the shower was terrific. WiFi worked great too. Claire has prepared lots of information about where to eat and shop and what to do in the area. Spent two days and a night in London by parking in a huge garage in Uxbridge and taking the tube. Enjoyed a wonderful bike ride along the canal, starting in Brighton-on-Avon at the bike rental and biking to Bath and back. Very easy access to major highways making traveling around the area a breeze. Hope I have a reason to return to the west of London soon and would certainly stay here again. Recommended highly!!! Thank you Claire!

Beautiful & functional suite

I stayed here for three nights to take advantage of it's close proximity to the RIAT (2016) and I absolutely loved every minute of my stay. It was clean, modern and quiet. Not only was the apartment excellent, but the town of Aldbourne has some amazing charm as well. Claire was very friendly and helpful as well. She met me at the front door to give me the keys and a quick tour. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended.

Fantastic getaway

We've just returned from a wonderful 3 nights at The Coach House in Aldbourne. The apartment was everything we'd hoped for and more - beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The owner, Claire, gave us a very warm welcome, and it's clear she really cares about her guests. Aldbourne itself was a great base - small enough to have a picturesque village vibe but large enough to squeeze in 2 pubs, a post office and Co-Op. Plenty of great walking/running routes in the area. Highly recommended!

We have lived on The Green in Aldbourne for 14 years,
and the addition of The Coach House has enabled us to offer guest accommodation.

Aldbourne is a fantastic place to visit, whether for walking, riding, golf, crop circle spotting or visiting friends and family in the village. It is also an excellent base for cycling.

It's only 10 minutes from the M4 and yet the Ridgeway path is on our door step with miles of uninterrupted countryside.
